Little Tikes Big Digger Sandbox

I've looked over the dimensions over and over again...It says it is 61.7 x 47 x 13 inches.That should be just over 5 feet by almost 4 feet by a foot.But this is a small box about 2 and a half feet on both sides.Ok, maybe it is almost 4 feet when you connect the lid, but where is the 5 feet?We bought this expecting both of our kids to be able to sit in it and play together, but we got a big surprise.I love the overall ideait's very cute and lots of extras to play with, but much smaller than we anticipated.

After looking at all the sandboxes available we decided on this one for our daughter's third birthday present.She is absolutely thrilled with it.The little extras that come with it just make it that much more fun.We have buried those poor little construction workers more times than I care to count.It is a nice size and the ramp lid is a big plus.My three year old, her twelve year old sister and a friend were all playing with it today and everyone had enough space to have fun digging in the sand.It is nice and deep and still compact enough that we are using it on our three season room.The instructions recommend 100 pounds on sand, but that was a bit too much.We removed some of it and the lid fits better and it is easier to play in without sending half the sand over the sides.Compared to the other options out there I felt this sandbox was a good price, and I think it will continue to get a lot of use.I am very pleased with my purchase.Also I paid for the one day shipping due to Amazon stating it may take extra time for processing.This wasn't really necessary.Amazon shipped it very quickly.

I bought this as a christmas gift for my 3yr old son. The crane is easy to assemble, only tight 2 screws and thats it! The colors are very bright and invites to play. It comes with the accessories needed to enjoy hours of fun. I used 1 bag of 25 pounds of the sandtastik white sand and looks beautiful! He loves playing wih it! Its a great product

I bought this for my 4 year old and it is so small he can hardly get in it, which is what I was looking for.The top is hard to get on and off also.I should have stuck with the turtle sand box.
