I ordered this set and had it shipped to a friend's house for a gift.It arrived quickly.Upon opening it, we saw that there was a broken red knight piece.I immediately notified Amazon and Marble 'n things that the piece was broken.Marble 'n things immediately replied that they would send out a replacement piece free of charge and free shipping.My friend told me that the piece did arrive and it's good.So I think that the company has excellent customer service.I also think the set is good looking.It has a quality look and feel to it.I would definitely buy from them again.

I recently wrote a review of this product and focused my attention solely on the length of time it took to receive it. Rather than the usual time allotted for shipping, I did not receive the product for several weeks and became very frustrated. However, I have recently spoken with a representativefrom the company and discovered that the delay was beyond their control. Regardless of who is responsible for the delay, I must say that the chess set is one of the finest I have seen, especially at this price and I am very pleased with it. As intended, it will make a magnificent gift for my daughter. You can't go wrong either with the product or the company (Marble 'n Things).

Ordered a 16" set for husband and was absolutely pleased!Very beautiful!Ordered a second set (12") on Dec. 3, 2011, for a Christmas gift and what a quadmire!!! Delivered on Dec. 7, 2011, Set came damaged.Called right away.Promised they would send a 2.75" red queen replacement.After many, many e-mails and phone calls,finally got the red queen on 12-23-2011.WRONG SIZE!! The red replacement queen was a 1/2" shorter than the original red queen.Therefor was not a cohesive set.This is now Jan. 19, 2012 and still do not have a 12" chess set yet that is complete!They did send a replacement set (Jan. 11th 2012) but....it had THREE WHITE ROOKS! No WHITE QUEEN!Still cannot make a whole set out of two!!! Have tried to let this company make this right several times to no avail. One more time?We'll see tomorrow.Am now dealing with Amir.He is being very helpful and I much appreciate it.he explained to me that they recieved three diffenert grades of chess sets.That has been the problem with replacing a 2.75" red queen.My sons must have been the better grade and we are having a hard time now to find a replacement.I feel that Amir will finally be able to complete this order now that we know where the problems lays.My confidence in Amir is great. Hopefully this oder can soon be accomplished to everyone's satisfaction.
