Tornado Tournament 3000 Foosball Table

The Tornado 3000 is touted as the best, and it is a great table. We had a bad customer service experience, but it was resolved in the end.

We bought the T3000 for our office. There was great excitement when it arrived and a group crowded around for the unboxing, but there was an almighty EEWWWW when we opened the box to find the ball return chute was broken and had blood on it!

We advised the distributor who advised the manufacturer. We received an email from their Sales Manager whose response was that their quality control was superb and therefore the problem could not have occured at their end insinuating that the shipping company or the distributor opened the box, broke it, bled on it, then packed it up again. Needless to say, the box we received was the original packing and was unopened. Maybe they were concerned we were going to sue them because of the blood, I don't know, we just wanted to problem solved and they literally shut the door on us.

I'd read that the company's Customer Service has been slipping, but this is something else. If blood can get through Quality Control, what else can?

The T3000 is pitched as a premium product and is sold at a premimum price and we expected a premium service.

In the end we did get a replacement chute and a call from someone in manufacturing that apologized. They couldn't understand how this could have happened and worked with us to resolve the unit, which was what we'd wanted all along.

I gave this 1 star initially, because no matter how good a product is, if the customer service is bad (as it was initially) and you need service, you are stuck. I guess this was a matter of getting to the right person, which we did in the end.

All said and done, the table is very good and the surface and the build quality is very good, the bearings, handles, the balance of the rods, it's all very good indeed. We didn't enjoy the initial experience, but are happy now that our problem is sorted, but when you buy something for $1,800 you really should not experience these kinds of issues.

I've upped the rating to 3 now. The table is great, the service sorted our issue, but it was a painful process which I hope no one else ever experiences.

I would certainly buy another T3000, but if you choose to buy one too, I would recommend you check it out immediately, before the truck leaves if possible, and if you have any issues at all send it back and wait for a replacement rather than try to resolve the problem through Customer Services.

As a leading money winner on our local foosball tour here along the Gulf Coast, I can tell you that we play on several of these tables. At 350 lbs., they "stay put" when the action is hot and heavy. The over all play is superior and the table is made for COMPETITION-level play. *HOWEVER* Tornado has been screwing up lately with quality control issues, obviously in order to maximize their profits. The number one concern is the rods.If they're even slightly out-of-round send them back to Tornado, or at least ask where you can take care of this matter. So far, Tornado has been good about swapping out rods when they're sent back to them.
