They will work for an event and if people are careful you could possibly wash off and re use them as stated in product discription. They look thicker than what they are in the picture so don't let that fool you! They are the same thickness as the normal ones at the dollar stores.

Table cloths were nice thick plastic and a very nice shade of navy!They were not cheap looking, even though they were very inexpensive; could wash and re use if wanted to.
