Gloria Barbie Doll Sized Grand Dining Room Furniture & Accessories

Warning, I would advise all to stay clear of the cheap plastic Gloria/Barbie Doll furniture!!!We bought my daughter a very nice wooden barbie size dollhouse for her 5th birthday this past June, and alot of the Gloria furniture to go in it....this dining set is a nightmare! The chairs fall apart constantly and instantly out of the box; a doll will be sitting in it and a leg will fall off! I have glued them twice, doesn't matter, still falls apart. Finally, the table was put out of its misery when a leg snapped off and is not fixable.The only good that came out of this set were all the accessories; plates, cups, silverwear...so if that is what you want to buy this piece for, it is about all it is good for. At least I got them super cheap on another site otherwise I would be livid.We also have theGloria grand piano...another joke of a product; the Gloria living room set seems to be ok; but how badly can you screw up plastic couches?And I also bought (before I knew of the poor quality) the Gloria grocery shopping set, I have not even given it to my daughter yet, and I don't know if I will, is it worth the frustration? The fake food is cute, so maybe I'll just take those items out.

I only wish someone would have written a review on these Gloria products before I purchased them.

I can't believe these cheap little Gloria (I used to call them Gloria Ghetto) Living room sets are being sold for so much on Amazon or eBay. About five years ago I saw these identical sets being sold in discount stores like Dee & Dee, 99c World and Up, along with knockoff perfumes and fake designer hand bags. They're made to look like Barbie-style furniture but the quality is poor. They were selling for $2.99-$5.99 a few years ago and that's about how much they were worth. The chairs are made of flimsy plastic that buckle easily and the table is not much better. I once bought the bedroom set only to find that the headboard and endboard were plastic while the "bed" was a piece of folded cardboard with the drawing of a comforter. Now that I want to find the dining room set I bought years ago (just for a doll display), they are nowhere to be found and cost 10x what it used to be. Ridiculous.

I would definitely not recommend this toy. Made cheap. It is horrible to put together, tried to glue it,but that didn't work. Does not snap together very well at all. The girls are playing with it, but it doesn't stay together. Not worth the money.DO NOT BUY!What else can I say.

I cannot believe that some items here on Amazon are so incredibly overpriced!$90.00 for this dining room set when it is selling regularly (as of April 2013) for less than $10.00 on eBay plus $7.50 shipping?Is the seller unaware of this or are they lying in wait until some sucker comes along, ignorant of the quality and the price elsewhere of this item.As stated in other reviews, the quality leaves much to be desired.In reality, they were not meant to actually be played with heavily, unlike Mattel Barbie items which can withstand a heavier paly.There is much great detail in the furniture and accessories produced by 'Gloria', but the plastic is very thin and cheap, breaks and falls apart with most any heavy play.I do like them however, as I purchase them not for play, but for creating a one of a kind item by refinishing them and painting to create a more realistic looking set for display and photography.I hate pink and white furniture for Barbie or anyone else!Just thought I'd add my 2 cents here at this exorbitant price of this item.
