We bought a version of this with no tracks, but the train conveniently fits on our Brio tracks. This is a very sturdy set and our son (just turned three), who loves make-believe, has added it to the beloved Brio set to create an even more exciting pretend world. He gets lost in taking the people on adventures. We will add other Plan City toys (he has the parking garage and fire station) to this set, as it seems it will be well worth the investment. I can see him using it for years, and will hopefully be passed down with my husband's old Brio set to our grandchildren. (Side note, because it wasn't clear when I bought this: the mat is a nice, thick canvas material.)
