I love this because my daughter is ALWAYS doing our hair and she always wanting scissors to pretend better and this did. I gave only 4 stars because the mirror is a fun house like mirror (at least mine don't know if it is just a flaw in mine or all) and the hair dryer we had to hit on the side for it to start to work and sometimes have to hit it to start it up again. Don't feel like sending the whole thing back since my daughter is glued to the toy. I have a 3 year old and the apron fits fine on her and she has room to grow into it to last for a while.

My twin daughters tore into these hairdressing costumes and played with them all day!!I also purchased a Corelle Style Head to accompany this gift.They love playing with everybody's hair, so I thought they would enjoy these costumes and they certainly do.One of the costumes was missing a comb, and the hair dryer didn't work.However, one call to Melissa & Doug and those things are being mailed out to me, so I have no complaints.Melissa & Doug Products are AWESOME and they really stand behind ALL their products.Very good company.I would never hesitate to purchase a Melissa & Doug product.

I really think Melissa and Doug career outfits are great, but am not thrilled with the scissors that are in the hairdresser set.The blades are a little too long and pointy for a toy that is played with around the faces of 3+ year old children.We substituted a shorter rounder tipped pair.Otherwise, the kids are having a ball and the family is well groomed!
