I actually needed these for a project to help my cousins with and they were just perfect, delivered very quickly and highly satisfied

About half of these are WW II/'modern' type soldiers who could represent any number of nationalities on the tabletop, the other half are more like 'Space Ranger' futuristic types.

They are definitely tall and chunky compared to 1:72/HO/OO scales and look pretty big next to IMEX, really big next to Airfix or Italeri.

But hey, people aren't all the same size either, and for this price, you really can't lose.

If you're looking to fill out the ranks of your 20 mm/thereabouts army for cheap and you're not too anal about scale, these are perfect.

These are tiny green men, much smaller than the classic Army Men I was expecting. Shame on me for not reading the product description closely enough. However, they were also crumbling. The figurines were stuffed into a small plastic bag which, when opened, caused army men to explode all over the table, along with pieces of figurines that had been crushed. Poor, poor quality.

Some of you looking at this product are tabletop gamers, wondering whether these would be a good stand-in for standard gaming miniatures.

First off, what you get is about a hundred figures, about half WWII soldiers, about half science fiction.There are three or four poses of each.The pieces are a little rough, with significant mold lines, but hey at four cents each, that's not so bad.Now, as to size they actually vary a little.Some 'poses' are a little larger than others.They average just about the size of a classic 25mm miniature.I put them next to some of my classic Ral Partha pieces and they just about match, depending on the individual pose.They look a little small next to a modern 28mm 'heroic' scale figure, but if you're just throwing them out there as extras, they're in the right scale range.

Very much worth the four bucks and various cents.

I bought these over some of the other listings because of the amount I would get (144 pieces). Unfortunately, I either missed it in the description or it was not written that the soldiers were 1 inch tall. I was sure as a kid they were much taller. Nonetheless, my son likes his army men and they take up about half our dining room table when he plays. For the price, it was a really good buy.
