Marshall Brodien's Magic Show Video Set
We bought this as a gift for our 7 year old son's birthday. What I really like about this set was the instruction video that is included. He learned how to do the tricks without much assistance(no "Mom can you help me" or "Mom I don't understand how to do this"). He has had lots of fun with this set and has played with it many times since his birthday. The tricks are simple, but so cool to him. I would definitely recommend this set for children. This isn't one of those toys that will be played with once and then forgotten.
I bought this for my nephew who is 6 years old. He LOVED it! It was very easy for him to learn the tricks with the video that was included. It is a kid-friendly product. He looks for any opportunity to put on a magic show, now! I would definetly recommend it to anyone. Great price, too!

Alex Toys Tutu Cute Craft Kit
The project is easy enough to finish within a half hour, but the kit does not give you enough material to finish the project.You wind up with "holes" around the skirt where there is not enough material to fill it.The band that you attach the material to is just an elastic band that fit my 4-year-old just fine (she is 37 pounds).It's cute, but they need to include more material.
My little 6 year-old daughter received this project as a gift for her birthday.She had such a good time making it (actually able to do it herself = free time for daddy!) and her friends were really excited about the finished product.In fact, my daughter told me one of her friends was planning a "tutu party" theme for her next birthday.I am more of a "soccer dad" than an "arts & crafts dad", but even I had to admit it looked likethey were having fun.Very cute kit & an appropriate name for the product!

Our granddaughter was given this kit for her sixth birthday.We were very disappointed with it.She was not able to assemble it without extensive help from an adult.The tutu is made by attaching strips of tulle to an elastic waistband with larkshead knots, and making stacks of shorter tulle strips into flowers.The tulle is hard for a child to handle, and it is hard to space the strips evenly around the elastic.Once the tutu is assembled, it is way too short for a child of six--it barely covers the hips, and our granddaughter is slender and only a bit taller than average for her age.When the child pulls off the tutu, everything becomes a knotted, tangled mess that has ended up neglected in the bottom of the dress-up chest.I have really liked some of this company's kits, but this one is ill-conceived.

I didn't like the way it looked when finished. Not enough strips of material to make a nice full skirt. I should have just went to the fabric store to buy the stuff and make it by myself like I first wanted to. You can find instructions to make those on the Internet. Just google no sew tutu.

It is a good game that all can play. My entire family sat down and enjoyed playing it, whether just the quote cards or with the board. However, the older you are the bigger advantage you will have. My brother, who is 15, only knew the most famous quotes because he had never even heard of some of the other quotes. My father had heard most of them and was able to rattle them off with ease. Like I said, with age comes advantage. So, while it is a good family game, the older you get the better you'll be.

I bought these thinking it was just a black sign that I could put on the entrance door, when I got it it had yard stakes. I had to pull the sign off the stake to use it the way I wanted to, which left staple holes in it. I was still able to use it just not the way I originally thought.

If you want a real air hockey experience, then you are up for disappointment with this product. I suppose when you are on a budget, then this may be the best you can get, but if you ask me, its not worth wasting your money. Either save up for a real air hockey table or get something else. After playing for 5 minutes I was done and will probably never touch it again.As far as what's available on Amazon.com, this may be the best option. I guess I just feel that anything short of a commercial air hockey table is a joke and a waste of money.
Needed: A rechargable screw gun and a lot of patience.You will drive 90 screws, and tighten 60 bolts with an allen wrench.When you are done, (it took my wife and I 3 hours) you have a very nice air hockey table.I am not sure why it doesn't score every goal, we have to put the puck in several times to activate the automatic scorer.I hope I can make an adjustment to correct this, but still a pretty cool game.

I actually needed these for a project to help my cousins with and they were just perfect, delivered very quickly and highly satisfied
They are definitely tall and chunky compared to 1:72/HO/OO scales and look pretty big next to IMEX, really big next to Airfix or Italeri.
But hey, people aren't all the same size either, and for this price, you really can't lose.
If you're looking to fill out the ranks of your 20 mm/thereabouts army for cheap and you're not too anal about scale, these are perfect.

These are tiny green men, much smaller than the classic Army Men I was expecting. Shame on me for not reading the product description closely enough. However, they were also crumbling. The figurines were stuffed into a small plastic bag which, when opened, caused army men to explode all over the table, along with pieces of figurines that had been crushed. Some of you looking at this product are tabletop gamers, wondering whether these would be a good stand-in for standard gaming miniatures.
First off, what you get is about a hundred figures, about half WWII soldiers, about half science fiction.There are three or four poses of each.The pieces are a little rough, with significant mold lines, but hey at four cents each, that's not so bad.Now, as to size they actually vary a little.Some 'poses' are a little larger than others.They average just about the size of a classic 25mm miniature.I put them next to some of my classic Ral Partha pieces and they just about match, depending on the individual pose.They look a little small next to a modern 28mm 'heroic' scale figure, but if you're just throwing them out there as extras, they're in the right scale range.
Very much worth the four bucks and various cents.

I bought these over some of the other listings because of the amount I would get (144 pieces). Unfortunately, I either missed it in the description or it was not written that the soldiers were 1 inch tall. I was sure as a kid they were much taller. Nonetheless, my son likes his army men and they take up about half our dining room table when he plays. For the price, it was a really good buy.

Firestorm Armada: Aquan Prime - Medusa Class Dreadnought
This is an excellent ship model but not one I'd recommend for a beginner modeler.Highly detailed but also very fragile and with a high part count (for models of this type) this is an fantastic addition to any Aquan fleet.Largely considered the best Dreadnought in the game it is a beast to behold on the tabletop with excellent firepower and rules.A few notes:
1. The high cost of the figure is due to the high portion of metal all the tentacles on the ship are pewter and I'd highly recommend pinning them for final assembly.
2. There are fifteen parts (not including the stand) in total and most will require some sanding/fitting to make them properly fit. I highly recommend painting the bulk of the figure prior to assemble (test fit everything first) as there are many groves and recessed surfaces once the figure is assembled that will be very difficult to get to in detail.
If you have the patience and talent the final product is worth the effort as the detail and overall look of the ship is very nice.
Game of Life
If you have ever played the earlier version of life please do yourself a favor and avoid this "new" version like the blak plague. My friends and I used to play the old version every single day up to late hours. Once we learned the new version was out we ran and bought it. WHAT A DISAPOINTMENT!!!! Compared to the old version this one is HORRIBLE. It isn't fun. The new rules [are not good]. You can not bet anymore. Money isn't the way it used to be (what's with the litte pieces of carton?) Maybe if someone at MB reads this they will go back to the basics and bring back what was once a great and fun family game to play. Lucky for us we still have, and play with, our old and much better version of Life.
Disney Princess Patio Set
This set is cute and my daughter does like it, but it's just not made well. The chairs are so flimsy that she has a hard time sitting down in them without knocking them over and falling. After ONE rain, the umbrella and the part of the chair where all of the bars meets were rusted. You can't put it anywhere that isn't in a yard because the umbrella has a stake on the bottom to hold it in place, so if you put it on concrete, it just wobbles around and won't stay up. The plastic on top of the table is cheap and flimsy as well. It's just all together poorly made. It just sits in my yard for looks I guess, because my daughter won't even touch it now for fear that she'll fall.

I bought it to place on our balcony, we live in NYC so I needed something small enough to fit out there, but big enough for my 3 year old. It is durable. However now that it's getting colder out, I have been getting ready to store it away, however while the table, umbrella are easy to unassemble, the chairs however are not. I tried to figure out how to fold them and they just won't fold. I had 3 other people attempt to do it to no success, the little lever that your supposed to push down on to fold seems to be jammed on both chairs which I find very odd. This is why I am only giving it 4 stars.Otherwise it's great for the price.My grandchild wanted this toy so much, and she was overjoyed when it arrived. The product is as expected. Thanks!

Chicco Music 'N Play Table
My son just loves this toy. He is 13 months old, and he returns to it several times per day. That said, his interest is almost entirely in the piano portion, which is detachable. So far, he has no interest in the "lego-like" things. He does play with the other half (little creatures which move and make noise), and enjoys them, but not as much as the piano. Of course, he has many music toys, and comes to this more often because it is raised, and as a pre-walker, he prefers to stand. Problem: he loves to climb, and tries to climb ONTO this table all the time. It is way to wobbly (spelling?) for that, so I'm constantly telling him not to do that. He does seem to be learning, but I still have to keep an eye on him. However, I wouldn't trade this toy for any other he has right now. Not a day has gone by that he hasn't spent 30-60 minutes at it throughout the day since it arrived.

This was an instant hit with our son when we bought it.There are several components to the toy, but not too many to overstimulate or make it dis-interesting. With the table component, I agree with others the legs can be wobbly IF your child is sitting on the ground and tries to pull the table down. I don't think that can be solved with any table on the market. But more importantly, you can take the table off the legs and set it on the ground. In either case, our son will crawl to it first thing in the morning and play with it endlessly (okay... he does have to sleep and eat).
The piano is by far the favorite. There is a piano book where the pages will turn. For each turn the piano will do different things: 1st page the baby can play their own tune, 2nd page a tune will automatically play when the keyboard is touched, 3rd page the baby can follow along the lighted keys to play a tune. You can also change the sound to four different instruments. The other activity area contains different sounds (bees buzzing, frogs ribbeting, etc.) for different actions. My son is also very interested in this.
On the other (flip side) of the table, you can use this for the 10 building blocks provided. The Chicco blocks are nice and large, and my son loves play for the blocks and/or grabbing and reaching for them in the storage compartment of the table. He's not of the age to construct the blocks right now. He loves the sound of clinking them together and demolishing anything I build.
As a parent, I feel he his getting exposed to many different elements for his growth and this is definitely a toy he will not grow out of in a month. I can see him playing with this for months on end.

I bought this table for my grandson when he started pulling himself up (about 7mos old)He passes alot of time playing the keyboard and dancing to his own music.And when he is into stacking blocks and such we can reverse the table and use the blocks.I have found this table to be very sturdy because now he takes out the part that is reverseable and climbs unto the table support and sits (just because he can).He is a climber.

I would absolutely recommend this toy. My son loves it, especially turning the pages to hear different songs. I gave it to him at the time he was 9 months old and just started to push himself to stand and he loves to play the piano standing from that time on. He also loves the blocks and he tries to reach them from the storage place below the piano all the time.
I do not care about the fact, that there is only 10 or so blocks, because it is just enough for his age, and when he is older, he moves to toys like Duplo anyway, I guess.
The only negative I've noticed is that the piano desk is just placed on the top and not secured anyhow, so he can lift the whole desk by pulling the strings above the pond up.
Anyway, it is a great toy and I would recommend it.
Fantasy Furniture Microsuede Wave Sofa
Wish it was vinyl for easy cleaning like they used to be, but so far this is the hit of a toddler preschool classroom, three toddlers that are two years old can sit on it comfortably. Perfect for one or two. They are well made and my prior one lasted in a large childcare center for five years .
