For those wanting to purchase the "old" style Rook cards Try Deluxe Rook by Winning Moves.Rook has always been a game that my whole family has always enjoyed playing.I'm 56 years old and my mother is now going to be 90 come December 6, 2002.Yes, she still enjoys playing "Rook" (my mother belonged to a "Rook Club" in her community for over 50 years).I bought the new "Rook" cards not knowing the cards had changed even though the box was new. When I opened it, I was very disappointed because I knew my mother would have a hard time seeing the numbers.Luckily enough, when I am at a store (Walmart, Kmart, Shopko, Target & etc.) and I see that they have a good price (under $5); I will purchase a couple of them because they make great gifts to family members (did I mention that my mom had 10 children...dad did help but he past away in 2000), so I do have a few decks of the older version of "Rook".There is not a person in the family that like the new version of "Rook".Please e-mail me back A.S.A.P. and let me know how I can get some more decks of the old version of "Rook".I know that I am not alone in my thinking on this matter. You could bring it back and call it the "Classic Rook" and still have the newer version out there too and then we could have a chose.OK?PLEASE!!!
Thank you so much for the game of "ROOK".The older version of Rook cards had rich, warm colors and easily discernable numbers. They were also a heavier stock card and silky smooth in texture. The newer cards are unattractive and less serviceable and actually take away from the enjoyment of the game. What a shame!Rook deserves a card worthy of its rich heritage. The Rook cards I kept buying were almost a waste money! They have gotten so bad that after a few rounds we were all getting annoyed. I contacted Hasbro several times and even sent them some of their lousy cards back to their office. No change and it's three years later. I just found a new company online that makes essentially identical cards except they are made of good material. Yup, they are really good. I have several decks of them now. NumberedGameCards.c
