From the photo, this toy looks absolutely amazing.I knew that it would not be large, but I was hoping that the various toys would be fun.
For the people who are not good with size, this toy is 15" in diameter. That means it is about the size of a pizza.
I didn't realize that the cube, cylinder and triangle that you put in each of the holes are not attached to the rest of the board and that the holes that they sit in do not go all the way through the board.
The plastic gears can turn but they are permanently affixed to the board using the white plastic screws in the center of each gear. These plastic screws are a little large so the gears jiggle around a little. The little round pieces that are shaped like dumbbells that go through the maze on the side do not glide smoothly and fall down when they hit an intersection because the corners at the intersections are rounded. The maze in the middle has a magnetic stylus that drags several very small magnetic pieces (about the size of a pea) around.I am afraid that if the transparent circle covering the magnetic maze in the center becomes detached that the small magnets under it may become choking hazards.
The metal screws to attach the legs, and the little red pieces that keep the clear plastic over the magnetic maze had spurs that could potentially hurt someone.
