We purchased this for our 6 year old who by the way doesn't like barbie's but loves the fairy's. She has so much fun with it. It comes with a book a map and a tiny fairy. She likes it alot. At first when she got it she wasn't to sure but after she read the book it really got her into the fairy spirit.
This doll is a real beauty. I have two daughters (2 and 5 years old), who both love all the Barbie fairies. Joybell is, I think, the loveliest of them all. My daughters got her a couple of weeks ago, and have not stopped playing with her since. The doll has a high educational value, not in the common meaning of the word, but in the way that it is creative and stimulates children's need for a fantasy world where everything is possible. My daughters have played with her in the garden among the flowers, where she is a real princess. The durability of this toy has yet to come to the test, but the fabric on one of her wings is already a little loose. -And I think it might be a problem to keep her clean, as I am afraid to get her wings wet, so maybe playing outside is not such a good idea. She comes with a small fairy, which should be kept away from small children, a beautiful little book with a simple story for the youngest children and a map of her imaginary world. This is a great toy; I wish I could have had such a doll when I was a child.

My daughter is simply head-over-heals for Joybelle. She was actually gifted to my 3 yr old daughter by her grand-uncle in Pakistan (!!!) who bought the doll there for 5 TIMES THE PRICE!!! Hey, if everyone's happy, who am I to complain?! She is gorgeous! Almost spellbinding! Her eyes are hypnotic; I swear! It's not only me... several people have said that. Well ever since we've returned to the US, its been Fairytopia this, Mermaidia that! My daughter recieved this for Christemas. She is 5. She also has the playset from the fairytopia line. What a waste of money. The wings always fall off and the way they clip on makes it impossible to put other clothes on the doll. The other day she took off the clothes and put them on another barbie. Don't waste your 17.99.
