The idea of storing a puzzle in progress is very appealing, but this mat has so many creases in it, that it made it very difficult to keep the puzzle flat while we were working on it.

The rolling-up part was not too difficult, and it unrolled nicely with the puzzle still intact.

I would prefer if it came with 3 bands instead of 2 so that it was more secure when rolled up.

The color of the mat is supposed to be a bright color so it makes it easier to see the peices, however the mat that I got is black.

It's also made of felt, so if you have pets, it will collect some hair.

I am going to attempt to iron the mat before using it again to see if this will help smooth it out.

This came out of the box all folded up, so it had many large creases in it. Even after trying to press out the creases it will not lie flat, so my jigsaw is coming apart because the mat is so uneven.Not really happy with this product.

I was a bit skeptical of this product before I purchased it but after reading all the reviews on Amazon I thought it was a good bet. It works very nicely. Not surprisingly, you do have to do a bit of refitting everytime you unroll it because some piece edges separate but it's not a big deal. I've noticed that as you complete more of the puzzle this becomes less of a problem. My only comment would be the size. I typically get puzzles no less than 1500 and this product was a bit too small for the average 1500 piece puzzle (unless it has unusual dimensions). Otherwise it's very nice AND washable, a plus after my cat annointedit.

I was a little nervous buying this item after all the folks who said they had problems with it.I took a chance and am quite satisfied.The mat I got is yellow felt, and looks just like the picture.It wasn't too creased just where it had been neatly folded to fit in the box and those creases came right out with a bit of ironing.It was a good risk and yes, probably a few dollars more than if I made my own as others suggest, but man was this easy!:)

The Ravensburger Stow and Go Puzzle Accessories does do exactly what it says on the box it just doesn't do it well.

The mat is folded inside the box, so when you receive it, it's bumpy and raised. We read the instructions and used it as directed, but it was so uneven it was frustrating to use. In hindsight it would have been a good idea to iron it, but there are no directions in doing so and I was concerned I would burn it based on the type of material it is made from.

There are a few strips of sticky substance on the back covered by a plastic film, and absolutely no related instructions or directions about what it is supposed to be for or how it is used. Now we have not used a puzzle mat before so we are ignorant in this aspect, but isn't that what the instructions are supposed to be for? We assumed it was to hold the puzzle pieces in place, but I was concerned that if we removed the plastic film, and did not complete the part of the puzzle that would sit on top of the sticky strips before we rolled it up, then surely the lint from the mat rolling onto itself would get all over the sticky strips and render them useless anyway?

Sure enough, when we rolled up the puzzle put it away, the puzzle broke inside the mat. When we unrolled it to work on the puzzle further, we had to spend a large amount of time fixing the puzzle and putting pieces back together.

Not what I expected, and probably not worth using next time.
