We got this slide to go with the swing set we built for the kids.The platform it is attached to is 6 feet high (at the upper end of the advertised range for this slide).With a 6 foot platform the slide is pretty steep!The kids fly down it.At first they were a bit apprehensive but they have gotten a hang of it and it seems to be ok (they are 4 and 6).The kids are having a ball!We put about 6 inches of mulch down at the bottom of the slide to soften their stop if they get a little out of control.Delivery was fast.The product is sturdy.I slid down to make sure it was going to be ok before I sent my kids down. It doesn't seem to flex or move at all.I put four screws in at the top and three at the bottom which I think was a bit more than directed.I also buried a bigger anchor than the stake that they called for at the bottom but that was probably overkill.I looked around a quite a bit when I was shopping.Slides are surprisingly expensive.Probably because they have to cover the shipping in there somewhere.This was delivered by a big truck as opposed to the usual UPS/FEDEX/USPS.I would have liked a tube slide, but those are very expensive.This slide on Amazon seemed to be the best value for a bigger slide.Look out for the length when you are shopping.A lot of slides look they they are tiny little things that are only good for a 4 foot or so platform.What fun is that?!The only question that remains is how well this well hold up to the summer sun.

After much research looking for a durable slide that will last our dauther beyond 10 years old, we decided on this one.Installation was fairly easy on our homemade/designed structure; only required one person.Slide is sturdy with high side rails that make you feel secure.It is one piece construction so no seems to match up or get caught on while sliding.Keeps cool in the summer even in direct sun.Only complaints/concerns 1.Although it says that it can hold up to 270 lbs someone with that weight would never fit down the chute!I am an average proportioned woman of 140 at 5'5" and my hips were squished going down the slide.My husband would never make it!2.You need to make certain the angle of installation is correct or that last wave will bump a toddler in to the air and leave you landing with a big bump.I would definitely recommend this product even with the concerns.We looked at several in our local hardware stores but they seemed flimsy in comparison.I have confidence this slide will last for years to come.
