This isn't a toy, fyi. I mean, it has scissors inside along with instruments that could harm them. I wouldn't give this to my kid. However, if old enough, I'd love for them to have this. I chose as a cupcake theme gift and they will love it. It's adorable and I'm going to get one for myself. The instruments are surprisingly durable. I bought it for the packaging of the instruments but they look like they could hold up great.

I think it makes a cute birthday gift and I like to travel with mine because of it's small size. However, the clippers and finger nail file are not the highest of quality.

Very inexpensive, the design of the case looks good on picture, but the zipper is cheaply sewed, the set is not that well made, will probably last less than a year before it falls apart.
