Starter Fleet Directorate Firestorm Armada

These model miniatures are one of many fleets produced by Spartan Games. Thus far I have been very impressed with the quality of workmanship and fine detail in these spaceship models. No doubt the use of computer modeling results in very symetric and concise lines. They come unassembled (though for this particular fleet that just means they need to be put on their bases/flight stands), and then painted. This is a good starter set with 10 models (4 resin and 6 metal) and enough to play a good game of Firestorm Armada (or other space miniatures game). Only critical comment is on acrylic flight stands. They are a consistent size for all models (except for the new bigger dreadnaughts) and the bases can be a little small. Additionally the acrylic post seems a weak point in the design. For my fleets this was solved by using metal posts and mounting with rare-earth magnetics. Overall, I feel the entire line of Firestorm Armada fleets are a quality product, price point is consistent with quality, and I'm looking forward to getting my fleet on the table and into battle! Overall 4 stars for quality and price, but flight stands are the weak point and would need to be improved to get that 5 star rating!
