Druid's Deliverance is a card that has excellent 'double strike' quality.The first is a near guarantee that regardless of your creatures on the field, you're opponent's creatures will be not only unable to do damage with their attack, but will also be unable to defend had they chosen to attack prior to the play of this card, thus allowing you to strike a little harder on your next turn, provided your opponent declared an attack with a large percentage of their creatures.

Then second strike occurs with the word populate.Not only will you're opponent be down creatures while unable to attack you or force your own creatures to their deaths, it will allow a properly constructed token creation deck to produce a copy of the token.With tokens that vary from 5/5 with trample to 8/8 with vigilance, this can be very helpful.

Throw in the fact that the mana cost is very affordable and that of course it is an instant card, and this card can be very effective.
