my 2.5 year old son and i love cooking together and one of our favorite breakfasts to make is waffles!i don't let him near the waffle iron, though, it gets so hot so the play-do version is perfect.this was a christmas gift this year and almost a month later, it has been used several times.the only downside is that, while getting creative and making realistic play-do foods, we mixed the colors together (like for the fried egg; the yellow and white) and now we have a lot of swirled play-do.i guess that's probably bound to happen, toy or not though...we have a lot of fun together with this toy, which was my original goal.more fun to come, too!

LOVE this set!My two grandchildren (a 4 year old girl and a 2.5 year old boy) would cook ALL day if I let them!Best to use OUTSIDE however because it leaves LOTS of little shreds of playdoh EVERYWHERE with all the pressing and cutting they can do.The pieces have held up well, but just be prepared to go through LOTS of Playdoh!Might even want to dig out the recipe and make some yourself.:^)
