We have always wanted one why did we wait so long?This is a great globe for the price.Good size, and the stand is attractive.If we had the space, a fancier stand might be nice, but this is a great package at this price(you can even remove the spindle for a tabletop display). The colorful look of the globe is very appealing, and I appreciate the raised texture for the mountains.it adds an extra level of appreciation for their size.

Sorry but I'm not getting the good reviews of this globe. Very shoddy construction. Maybe mine was a reject that somehow got sold when it wasn't supposed to. Either way, I'm very disapointed. The latitude lines at the seam don't even line up they are about 1/4" off. Then the seal of whatever it is scotch tape? around the equator is coming up in places to the point where I thought maybe it was just a piece of plastic on there to protect it. But nope. It's meant to be there sort of. Too bad it's not. Where the stand screws in to the globe, mine was crooked or warped. Mine is going back. There has to be something better for this money.

Oh...and I forgot to mention that the parts were lying loose in the bottom of the box with a couple of them missing.

Wow!Just received this globe and what a great globe for the price!It is attractive, sits at a perfect height to look at while sitting at a desk or chair, and easily moved from room to room.My 10-year-old is thrilled, and so am I.It is much better than the smaller 12" globes more exciting, and easier to see for the aging eyes.Most highly recommended.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband. He collects maps and has in the past had to dig out our world Atlas book when he wished to view a particular country. The globe, he says, is his all time favorite gift. The only reason I did not rate as 5 stars is that both the top and the lower half of the globe the longitude lines do not line up properly. Perhaps the person responsible for pasting the map on the sphere was having a bad day. I felt it was a good value for the cost.
