We have enjoyed it so much that I had asked my sister to send me more of these to give to friends but was delighted to find it on Amazon.
The only warning is that the suction cups did no work on our dining table but then my older son had the idea of using two dessert plates to attach the net to and it works just fine.We really enjoy a good, brisk game of ping pong.We haven't had a full sized table for a few years.Just haven't wanted to spend the money on a new full sized table and the storage was an issue.Saw this desk top version at Urban Outfitters, of all places, and thought what have I got to lose? It was only $10. Brought it home and played with it Christmas eve day.Attached it to our outdoor patio glass-top table. We had so much fun with it.When ever someone new came over, their first reaction was-what? How cheezy. But, after they started playing, they were hooked. We laughed for hours! What a great find! Will be picking up more of these to give to friends.See the last review for playing on a table that is not glass. The suction cups will not adhere, so use saucers or dessert sized plates to attach the net to and place on the table.Have fun!I never realized how much fun a $7.99 miniature ping pong set would bring my family. It was a great stocking stuffer and once set up on the kitchen island, it never came down until school began again in January. My only recommendation is to stock up on replacement balls since the one it comes with is rather flimsy and can't withstand the "power" shot. This ping pong set is very compact and easy to install but TINY.I couldn't get over how extremely small the paddles were.In fact, I had a hard time keeping my fingers from being hit by the ball because of it!The net doesn't even go completely across the table it's so short but it still works. The suggestion to place the ends in dinner plates was great since it would not stay adhered to our table either. All in all, it's fun and a good price but I would have bought something more for normal sized people rather than smurfs.:)Got this as a Christmas gift for my little brother. He loves it, and plays with it all the time in his dorm. Last I heard he was reigning champion on his floor, which says quite a bit about how sturdy the paddles are, since he goes to U of A.
