I bought this paddle without know what Penhold meant. Epic fail. It's a really nice paddle, however I didn't know that Penhold means that the paddle handle is very short, because of the way you hold the paddle. Check out the article on Wikipedia.

Bought this racket for my wife who uses the penhold and had been used to playing with a single rubber racket. She thinks this racket is a bit heavy for her; she's 97 lbs. This would be rated higher for most others and is no reflection on its quality. I tried it, even though I use the shakehand method and had no problem with its weight. She also has very small hands making it harder to grip this handle as opposed to her other rackets.
