My 6 year old grandson was thrilled with this globe.He loved seeing where the different animals come from in each country.Then he loved turning on the light and having the different species of fish in each region become visible.THere is also a nice book that explains the animals that comes with the globe.Great Product.

We recently purchased this globe as a Christmas gift for our four and half year old son and I am SO glad we did! It is extremely well constructed and looks lovely when it is lit up at night. It comes with a soft-cover think (but small) encycyclopedia-type reference guide that explains what the animals depicted on the globe are, where they live in the world, and some interesting facts about them. The place names are all clearly marked on the globe but the animal names are not. Instead, there is a number next the picture of each animal that corresponds to the write-up in the guide I just decribed. For our son (who is too little to read that level of text yet) it is great fun to sit with us, choose an animal in the book or on the globe, and then listen as we read to him about it. This globe is perfect for him because (like most children) he loves animals, and is also fascinated with geography and the concept that the planet is vast and full of a variety of climates, wildlife, and terrain. I am confident that this globe will last, hold his interest (and ours), and will grow with him over time. This is the kind of purchase that is so worth the money glad I took the plunge and bought it.

I THOUGHT i was ordering the CRAM Herff Jones globe...what I GOT was some knock off "DINOZ" globe.These two globes are VERY similar, but are quite different in quality.The CRAM Herff globe has realistic animal pictures and the sea creatures appear when the globe is turned on.The DINOZ globe i got in the mail has cartoon animals and sea creatures and nothing appears when the light is turned on.I have always been happy with my purchases with amazon, and this is the first time i feel that i have been MISLED.

It is a very pretty globe that is very appealing to children.Unfortunately it is very poor quality.I gave it to my grandsons for Christmas.They were absolutely enthralled, but were in tears after playing with it for only 5 minutes, as the plastice base fell completely apart.Extremely overpriced for the quality,
