Walkie Talkies

Mattel Monster High 15048 Walkie TalkiesBought this for my 8 year old grandson's birthday to replace the disappointing Lego walkie talkies which did not work. Delighted with this product which works really well and even has a morse code button. Heand his older sister use it a lot around the farm and have even made up a secret code.

My son received this as a gift for his sixth birthday.

The range is fine.We live in an apartment, and we used this as he took the trash out (a few hundred feet from our door).I could hear him well, and we talked back and forth. They seem sufficiently sturdy as well.He has thrown them around a bit, and they haven't broken.

There is a lot of static, however, and that is frustrating. It makes the whole system less fun to use.

Overall, I'm not impressed.I just don't remember the walkie-talkies I had growing up making that much noise.

So far, these were not as much of a hit as I had hoped, but hopefully, he can have more fun with them with other kids-I can't handle the noise!

I got these walkie talkies at a good price and my grandson is enjoying playing with them very much. I would recommend them. They are very durable and I'm sure they will last for a long time. They are easy to operate and come in clearly.

I was expecting something alot nicer from the "Nerf" brand walkie talkies. First, there is alot of static when you use them. The static is so loud, that you can't really hear the person on the other end. Even when these walkie talkies are used within 20 feet of each other, the reception is still horrible. Second, the morse code button is a parent's worst nightmare!! My son will repeatedly push that button, which prevents communication between the devices. It is a horrible, loud noise and I can't stand these devices in the house! One positive is that it is easy to operate the walkie talkie.

I bought this for my 5yr old newphew. He is thrilled with it.It is so much fun to watch him and his cousin ( the 2 superheroes Ironman and Spiderman ) make their plans without being able to see each other. The range on these walkie talkies is quite far, 1000+ feet. The only problem is that the kids have to remember what button to press to talk and what button to not press to listen ( or whatever ).It seems that they both have the need to talk at the same time all the time!Anyway, Nerf makes a great product and I know this toy will be around for a while. They'll probably use them in school( when they start ) to reek havoc on the playground!
