Wooden Sudoku Puzzle Board with Grid

I received this as a Christmas present, and it's a great tool for solving the harder puzzles!! No erasing holes in the paper.I've solved some of the puzzles that came with it, but find it easier to just lay out a puzzle from one of the dozen or so books I have around the house -no hassle with picking up the grid and putting it back!

I find I'll start a puzzle, then quit when I can't seem to figure out any more numbers.Then later that day -or the next, I'll see something I have missed, and I'm off!!I rarely do that with paper puzzles.

As several others have noted, there are not enough "pencil" tiles.It's especially frustrating when you're working on a really tough puzzle.Perhaps I can order some.

The product is a wonderful game that is fun for all ages. The only thing I would like to see is more small squares or sell a package of the small squares.During games that are very difficult you run out of small pieces to use for possible choices.

I received this as a gift for Christmas and spent HOURS and HOURS trying to work the first puzzle in the booklet. When I came home, I entered the puzzle *as printed* into pappocom's sudoku program (where I play most of my puzzles). The program rated it an impossible puzzle: there's no solution. Even as I continued to enter in solutions I'd found, it was still unsolvable. Not only that, the box says there are 100 puzzles in the booklet; mine printed 40 grids, 20 of which had EVERY number plugged in... so of the "100", I'm missing 60, 20 are solved, and at least one is impossible. That leaves me with 19 new puzzles to work.

My only other complaint is that they only give you 9 miniature numbers (to substitute for pencil marks) and I wish I had more... sometimes, there are more than 9 possible locations for a number as I'm working the puzzle!

Aside from those two issues, one of which is easily ignored by supplementing the game with new puzzle books, and the other might be solved by seeing if I can order more of JUST the numbers...

This is neat. It's a new way to work some of the harder puzzles, and it might make this phenomenon available to other people (kinesthetic learners, you can actually physically manipulate things here!).

This board really helps with the hard puzzles and is fun to use.I do more puzzles with it out on the table.A bit dissappointed with the quality of the board.Mine is warped and I hope the others I sent as gifts are not.For $30 I did not expect the board to be warped.
