My husband and I bought this product for our son last Christmas. It has been a hit ever since. When his friends come over they stay at the table. It's compact, which makes for easy, out of the way storage. It's light weight, which makes it easy for my 8 year old to handle. Set up is a snap. Even completely set up it's still not a room hog. It's kept my son competitive and into games, but off the computer/video games as much versus if we didn't have it. We're able to set it up outside as well so the boys can "go to town" with their signature moves and tricks. It's been a great tool to get our family together for some hearty laughter and good times.
Although I didn't like the finish of the surface it was easy to play on and accurate enough.This table is great for tight spots and I have as much fun with it as the larger ones.Very portable and takes up little in the way of storage space.The very few complaints I had with this product are enormously offset by the many satisfactions. Yes, the small size of the table makes playing somewhat difficult, but it's ideal for kids 5 and under. It came on time and was packed extremely well. The shipping carton had obviously taken some severe hits during transit, but the table was packed in styrofoam and was unblemished. It was extremely easy to put together, and all hardware was packaged securely. Highly recommended.The idea of a small ping pong table seemed appealing, but the disappointment here is the flimsy surface, which causes the ball not to bounce well.This is not a smaller version of a big ping pong table table.

For years I've wanted a high quality train around the 'ol Christmas tree.I've had HO sets in the past that my kids loved playing with, complete with a lighted village, tunnels, cars, etc.I decided to step up after reading the reviews on several of the Lionel sets.Today, I joined the few that weren't all that impressed.When I purchased it 2 wks ago, it was $186 thru Amazon.Now, it's $169.Shucks.The description talks of a whistle and puffing smoke.The train is so loud you can't hardly hear the whistle.Believe me, if you don't listen hard, you won't hear the whistle.Maybe mine's faulty.It works, but lousily (if that's a word).The steam generator puts out a whisp that if you get down really close and watch the train go by, you might see it.The transformer is plastic and does not have an On/Off switch.Yep, you need to unplug the set.The transformer has a "bell" button.But, guess what, the train in the set doesn't have a bell.I'll keep the set.I'll build the terrain.The grandkids will have a blast with it.

Growing up in the 50s, every kid had a train set.Most of my friends had Lionel. HO hadn't really become popular yet so the big O gauge trains were pretty much standard. My Dad's family worked for the Pennsylvania RR and trains were a popular post war hobby. Dad and I had animpressive layout, but as a teenager, my interests changed (girls, cars).Years later when my Dad passed away I sold the collection for a handsome price.I was a little skeptical about buying an imported version of an American classic. Although no model trains are suitable for very young children, the bigger, sturdier O gauge are easier to handle and will hold up.I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Lionel Pennsylvania Flyer Freight Train Set.In all honesty, it is a better example of imported merchandise.The Pennsylvania Flyer set is minimal but absolutely perfect for under your Christmas tree. It fits on a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood with room to spare.Set up is so easy you could wait until the children or grandchildren went to bed on Christmas Eve, assemble the track (very easy) and have a working train Christmas morning.There's a lot to be said about a kid's first look at a train under the Christmas tree. Priceless.Lots of grownup grins, too. The promo material isstraightforward. Solidly packaged, everything was there and works. We purchased this train set last year as an "extra" present. Just something fun that we could all enjoy together.I couldn't be more pleased with the investment. 2 adults in our 30's, a 3/4 year old girl, a 5/6 year old girl, and a 8/9 year old boy have enojyed playing with the basic set for a year now. I even brought the set to a cub scout meeting and had the boys design buildings out of boxes, it was one of the best meetings all year.O scale-
We chose not to go with the HO because of the small size. We wanted our entire family to be able to use it, and our youngest was 3 at the time of purchase.In spite of some fine motor difficulties, she was able to put the train back on track more than half the time.Our (then) 8 year old son was able to consistantly put the train back on from the first week. The size is also a little easier to build models for because shoe boxes seem to be just the right size ;)
Track-
I have found the track to be durable, even when the train was attacked by our very confused dog. All 3 children can now assemble the track for playtime, though the younger 2 still need help with disassembly.Additional pieces are easy to find at our local hobby shop.
Controls-
Very basic. The control box is set up to automatically change from forward to neutral to reverse each time you throttle back to "zero".This setting can be changed at the locomotive. My husband and I both would like a more versatile controller, but are satisfied with this one until we are rready to set up a more permenant display.We have had no issue with the operation in spite of being trampled and manhandled by children, and stepped on by a dog.
Smoke-
Production could be better, and is relative to train speed (the faster it goes, the more smoke it has). Unfortunately, when it is going fast enough for more smoke, the speed creates a current that disperses the smoke and makes it hard to see. The liquid smoke bottle that came with it was more than enough for many hours of use (maybe about 20 hours).
Overall, we are glad we own this train. It has been a great family past-time for the amount of money that was spent.

Love this fun rocker/bench. My 4 andold have a blast. You need to have kids with the same weight though for the rocker to be balanced. My 4 yr old and her 4 yr old cousin love it. My kids use the bench for meals, snacks, craft time and for their tea parties. Initially myold fell backwards trying to stand up,(good thing their playroom has foam flooring), but now she understands how to get on and off of the bench and has not had any other occurances.

ECR4Kids Birch Hardwood Natural Book Display
We deliberated a great deal in trying to find a piece of furniture that would accomodate our hundred or so softcover books from our 18-month-old and 3.5 year old daughters' collection. So many of the softcover books just get lost in our hundreds of other books, and thus don't get much exposure.We chose this one after looking over everything from canvas sling-style shelves and multitudes of similar shelving units from companies like Steffy Wood and Guidecraft. We settled on this one because of the size and price and I have to say, I'm glad we did. Though the dimensions seem large enough on paper, this is a surprisingly small piece of furniture once you've gotten it together. This is fine, I suppose, considering the size of the kids, but I can't imagine how tiny some of these book displays are. This seems the perfect size, even for our 18-month-old.
Assembly took about 30 minutes by the way, and was fairly straightforward. Although the shelving unit looks like it's got a lot of wood to it, it's actually rather flimsy plywood pieces that are surprising sturdy once assembled (you almost forget entirely how thin the individual components areit looks quite solid). You do have to be mindful of their flimsiness during the assembly as there is a potential for breaking them if you're not careful.
We are able to store/display about 10 15 softcover books per shelf. Which isn't our entire softcover collection, but at least a significant portion of it. They overlap so that you can see about one third of the cover just enough to identify what book it is. They're actually quite attractive stored this way, and the kids seem to enjoy it. I imagine that with hardcover books this would be a difficult strategy to employ, and you might only be able to display 4 to 5 books per shelf, maximum. The shelves, at 1.5 inches are really quite shallow.
I'd still be curious to read a really good review or recieve comments in regards to other shelving units of this sort and how they compare in terms or storage and display. It's hard to get any idea what these units are like without being able to actually see them in person first. Most of the reviews I've read are lacking in details.
As for this shelf, we are pleased overall, but its one drawback is the price. Considering the cheap materials and the fact that it's made in China, I'm thinking this should cost about half what is being asked. However in comparison to what else is out there, it's probably a bargain.

I bought these nearly 1.5 years ago. Assembly was rather straightforward and I did it on my own. I love having the books where my daughter (now 21 months) can easily see a selection and choose her books. These certainly don't hold nearly all her collection, usually about 20-30 board books, hardcover books, and paperback books combined. We rotate the selection and keep the other books on traditional bookshelves. She can easily take ooks off the shelf and put them back on. After a year and a half, these shelves still look brand new.

I bought this as a "back up" because my 3 year old son LOVES this bear and has had it since he was born. Nice tin & good ideas on the cards.My only problem is that it states up to age 12 for this one, and it was a little boring for my 10 year old.I do think that children under 2nd or 3rd grade will love playing this, so I will keep it in mind for the younger ones, but the age recomendations are not totally accurate.
It does have great ideas you could even use on road trips or just for fun anytime, so it's a keeper.Nice little tin it comes in too, easy to pop in your purse for when the family is eating out and need something to do while you wait for your food with younger kids.

P'kolino Tree Table with Zebra and Giraffe Chairs
Very cute tree table and very easy to put together.Seems very durable and the chairs are great won't easily tip over like many others.I have no problem recommending this to others; I would buy it again.Have fun!
When assembling the chairs I had three of the bolts make it half way in and then the nutsert stripped out of the wood.When the first one stripped out I was a bit bummed out but figured I would glue it in and in the meantime moved onto the second chair.Then one stripped in that chair.I then took the one back that had not stripped yet and the one seat that had not stripped yet and tried to assemble at least one of the chairs for my daughter's birthday.When a third one stripped out of nine bolts I tried to put in I decided that it had to go back.
Secondly, bolt holes were not aligned from one part to the next.I hadn't figured out how to deal with those yet.
Lastly, there was glue dripped on one of the seat backs.
They sure do look cute in the picture though.

*Shipping was super fast again (I also bought the matching bookcase separately)...it arrived one day after it shipped.*The table is beautiful and is a perfect match to the bookcase.I especially like the rounded corners on the table for safety purposes.It is a very modern, fun piece.
*A few minor dull scratches that I will overlook again (like the bookcase).Four missing washers (like the bookcase).A little disappointed about these issues for the price.
*The chair is a little tall for my short one and a half year old, but it's not a big deal knowing that she will grow into it.

I loved the look of this piece and even the heavy duty chairs and table as kids can easily tip over in the plastic or lightweight wooden chairs.The overall quality of the FINISHED product is hands down better than what I've seen out there.However, I feel very competent in assembling products but the made in China hardware is extremely poor quality.Most of the bolts don't align well and easily get stripped, leaving metal bolts/screws not flush with the toy and can create a safety issue for toddlers and young kids. Also, easing in the stripped bolts caused the wood to splinter and crack, again, creating issues for small hands.
If I could speak directly to P'kolino, I would suggest, find MADE IN THE USA hardware and even wood parts.Parents would support this and I know the quality would be superior.If only more toy manufacturers would make more things here in the US!
Amazon was great and is shipping replacement parts to address the wood splitting and the bolts stripping but be very cautious when assembling, again, the poor quality hardware made me second guess this expensive purchase.

i ordered one of these for my oldest child about four years ago.his has held up very well through a great deal of abuse, with the exception of a strip of the faux wood peeling off the back edge of the desktop.it is very stable and sturdy.i liked it well enough that i ordered two more for my younger children a month ago.they really look great, they are a nice good size that children won't outgrow quickly but not massive space-hogs (they would be fine for an adult as well), and they are very easy to clean of marker, glue, spills, etc.
on the downside, they are a bit of a pain to put together, and the bottom of the drawers won't support a ton of weight.this means for a lot of purposes, they will be fine, but if your child tries to step into it or load it up with a stack of books, the bottom will bow or possibly break.
i would definitely recommend them, and i expect mine to last for at least 10 years, possibly until the kids move out and want something that looks more "grown-up" than a locker desk.one final idea i suppose you could have the drawer faces powder-coated in another color, if none of these strike your fancy or you/your kids get sick of the colors that come with the set.
My 9YO son was able to put the entire desk together without any assistance, and he is quite pleased with how it looks in his room.

This is a beautiful set! It was so easy to assemble and well crafted. The table and chairs are very solid and the wood graining is striking. My almost two year old can use the chairs easily with room to grow. Nice enough to keep in the family room. Very impressed. Way better than the cheaper set my parent's have at their house.
