i ordered one of these for my oldest child about four years ago.his has held up very well through a great deal of abuse, with the exception of a strip of the faux wood peeling off the back edge of the desktop.it is very stable and sturdy.

i liked it well enough that i ordered two more for my younger children a month ago.they really look great, they are a nice good size that children won't outgrow quickly but not massive space-hogs (they would be fine for an adult as well), and they are very easy to clean of marker, glue, spills, etc.

on the downside, they are a bit of a pain to put together, and the bottom of the drawers won't support a ton of weight.this means for a lot of purposes, they will be fine, but if your child tries to step into it or load it up with a stack of books, the bottom will bow or possibly break.

i would definitely recommend them, and i expect mine to last for at least 10 years, possibly until the kids move out and want something that looks more "grown-up" than a locker desk.one final idea i suppose you could have the drawer faces powder-coated in another color, if none of these strike your fancy or you/your kids get sick of the colors that come with the set.

Like with other reviews I've read on this product, the desk arrived in two separate packages, and not on the same day.The product description states that eight drawer fronts are included.There are only five -red, white, navy blue, orange, and hot pink.

My 9YO son was able to put the entire desk together without any assistance, and he is quite pleased with how it looks in his room.
