I don't like the magnifying glass at all, it's hard to get it to do what

needs to be done, and it's a little rusty on the medal part, then once you finally get it to stand the way it should now you half to pull until you can get it to lay back down.You really need to be a rocket sciencetist to figure this one out.

I purchased this paddle as a third choice to two lighter composite versions, and this has become my favorite.I've found this paddle offers excellent spin qualities and has an excellent feel and weight about it.I've only been using it a short time so my comparisons are somewhat limited, but if you're an intermediate to good player taking up the sport again while technology has advanced, this model is a good choice.I have been playing some pretty stiff veteran competition and this paddle seems to hold its own.I have opted to upgrade to a professional paddle, twice the price, so I would welcome an opportunity to update this review in the future and compare qualities of the paddles.

Choosing a paddle is a tough decision because, unless you have an opportunity to test a wide assortment of paddle varieties, it is a "trial and error" process of decision-making, based on faith or "word of mouth".Some people buy what the experts use, but unfortunately, each player plays differently at various stages of development, so what's great for one player may not suit another.I don't envy anyone having to make this tough decision, but I can say this paddle seems to be one that my opponents respect.

Very impressed with the way this racket plays. I was using before a Killerspin model that comes in the two pack, and I thought it was good, but the difference between this racket and that is night and day. The sheer amount of spin I can put on the ball was immediately noticed by my partner. Where he would have normally hit my shot back, the spin on the ball with the new racket easily puts another 6" worth of trajectory on it, and the ball will wiz right past where he thought the shot should have gone. Awesome!

Another thing I noticed over the lesser model was that off-center hits seem to be much more forgiving with the new racket. There is a larger "sweetspot" on the this racket with which my poor form isn't exposed as much as usual :-)

The weight and thickness are what attracted me most to this model over the more expensive 600. The feel when the racket hits ball is more of a dead feeling. I've used a friend's Stiga that is pretty light, but every hit on the ball vibrates up your hand. After a while your hand is tired and you don't really know why, but with this racket it feels as smooth as silk and I can play a long time without any discomfort.

The quality is good, and the laminated construction with multi-color inserts looks good. My only gripe is the cheap sticker they put around the edge of the racket. It will probably come off in a few games. I think it will look better without it anyway.

Overall, i'm very impressed and it has definitely changed my game! Worth every penny.

Shady Oasis Sand and Water Play Table

It seems like a great idea to have sand AND water all in one toy, right? Here's the problem. While the water side does have a drain, it only drains the water out of the main basin. There is another basin (where the water wheel is) that remains filled with water. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get all of the water out of this thing without turning it over, and therefore also dumping out all of the sand on the sand side of the table. You can't leave the water in the table because it gets stagnant and gross and is a mosquito breeding ground. The two sides of the table don't separate, so you can't just take the water side off to dump the water at the end of the day. My solution: I filled up both sides of this table with sand, and plan to buy a separate water table that I can dump ALL of the water out of at the end of the day.

My daughter absolutely loves this table! It keeps her busy in the backyard for hours!

It is really simple to assemble and only requires a Phillips screwdriver. Total assembly time was about 30 minutes. It is also really lightweight, so it wasn't any trouble to carry up and down stairs (to hide it before Easter) and then to move it outside. It is a little cumbersome to move because of the shape, but very easy overall.

I purchased this intending to use it only as a water table, and it works very well for that purpose. Put any two-year old near sand and water and they will just make a big muddy mess. I also believe that it would be difficult to clean out without dumping the sand out.

There were a few reviews saying that the water becomes a stagnant mess after sitting for a while. This would be true in any instance, not because of the design of the toy. I've had a very easy time keeping it clean with almost no effort. After she is done playing I simply open the drain and let the water in that side run out, and then tip the unit on it's side to dump out the rest of the water. Either leave it that way until the next play session or turn it back over and let the sun dry it completely (we live in Arizona so it dries really quickly).

I think it would also work really well as a sand-only table, but we haven't ever tried it with sand. I do like that it is elevated on smooth plastic legs so that I wouldn't have to worry about scorpions (fun, right?!) climbing up and making their home in there if we did use it for sand.

The other sand/water tables on the market all seem to be designed in a similar way, so they all have the same pros and cons.

Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase!

We purchased this table for my 11 month old son who LOVES water and splashing.After months of him going after the dog bowl we bought this water table.He LOVES it.I fill both sides up with water as I think the sand would be an issue crossing into the water and he is not yet into sand.The main issue with this table is that the table legs fits so tightly into the sockets that the plastic holdings break.After reading reviews on this table elsewhere it looks to be a universal problem.I hope that the legs hold up.

Three issues need to be addressed by the makers of this table....

1.) the umbrella is too small and due to the material it provides zero shade

2.) there needs to be a plug in both wells for drainage.

3.) the plastic holdings tend to crack when assembling the legs of the table.

While we hope to enjoy this table this summer I am skeptical as to whether it will hold up next year or for another child.

We purchased this table at Walmart where it was $20 cheaper than amazon.

About 6 months ago we picked up a couple back-yard play stations for our boy (21 months). One was the Step 2 Shady Oasis Sand and Water Table. He has always loved splashing in the bath and he enjoys pools of shallow water. He also loves playing in sand when we take him to the beach or playing in the sandboxes when we take him to neighborhood parks. Hence, the backyard sand and water table seemed a natural, albiet the scale is entirely different.

The play station was easy to put together and required a Phillips screwdriver and a long-nosed plier. The latter was not specified and I used it only to retrieve screws when I'd drop them when trying to fit them in small confined places my fingers wouldn't fit. In any case, assembly was a quick, easy and simple task. However, you might consider where you want this thing because it's very difficult to move after the water and sand is added.

We've only had the sand and water table a short time so our testing of the toy is probably inadequate. Such is the case with many of his toys. At the present, our boy likes to splash the water, that's for certain. He seems to like the paddle wheels, but hasn't learned how to operate them as yet. The wheel in the tower works quite well, I might add, but the boy doesn't find it terribly interesting.

One major problem with the water part f the play station is keeping it clean. It's not long before the water is cluttered with leaves and other detritus floating in it. The worst contaminant is dead insects and often the water has live insect larvae in it. Regular cleaning and renewing the water is necessary and time consuming,

The sand part of the table is of questionable. Our boy scoops up cups of sand and scatters it on the nearby ground or tosses them into the water. Also, he tosses the cups on the ground. All in all, the sand is just too limited to be of much use.

The umbrella seems to fascinate him. Maybe it's the colors or the patterns, Who knows? But the umbrella is much too small to act as any kind of sun shade.

All in all, I'd now have to rate this play station as ineffective. It has become a backyard piece of junk that receives little attention and presents major clean-up problems. Given the choice, we would not buy it again.

Can You Imagine Melting Clock

This clock is a good size and really looks awesome. The only thing misleading about it is that there is a large plastic bubble covering it, which looks terrible and is conveniently hidden in all the product pictures because of the clever angles they take the photos from.

Luckily, its very easy to remove this plastic piece from the back, if you use a small screwdriver. The only downside to that is that eventually the clock will get dusty.

This item is smaller than I had thought and made of plastic. I guess I had looked at so many things lately maybe I didn't read the description to well but I thought it would be made of glass and metal, not all around plastic. It does not rest on the area I had wanted it to, above my fireplace on the mantle, as it need the bottom of the clock to rest on a wall. A little disappointed but I still really like the idea and my husband found a new place to put it. So even though it is not as I thought, it is the only one of it's kind right now and I do still like it.

This George Nelson replica design is of less quality than many others on the market and comes with an inferior quartz movement that (in my case) did not keep time. Tried 3 new AA batteries but it ran very slow, losing 15 mins every hour. Love the design but advice would be to pay a bit more for a better product from a different source and manufacturer.

Melissa & Doug Figure 8 Train Set

My husband and I purchased this Figure 8 Train Set as a Christmas gift for our 2 1/2 year old daughter as it appeared to be a great price for the layout we wanted. After she opened it a couple months later at Christmas, however, we realized that there is a bit of false advertising with the product. On the box we have, the front has a picture of the figure 8 layout titled "Featured Components" and shows the track going under the bridge section in the expected figure 8 layout. On the back of the box, it shows the kinds of pieces included in the box and how many. It was not evident until we attempted to put together the layout with the included paper layout instructions inside that there is a short male-to-male piece needed to do the layout (featured on the front of the box but not on the back) that is not included in the box. In other words, you cannot make the featured layout as you are required to purchase this single piece separately.

I contacted Melissa and Doug about this issue and when they returned my phone call after the holidays I was told that yes, it is a piece that must be purchased separately, but they would send me the piece free of charge. It is now January 18, 2013 and we just received the package they mailed to us, but rather than leap for joy at being able to finally recreate the layout for my daughter, I am just as disappointed as before. Instead of the male-to-male piece I spoke to them about, they sent a duplicate bridge ramp piece!

This is our first time purchasing Melissa and Doug products, but after this experience I will definitely be more skeptical before purchasing them again, especially if the item is packaged inside a box. The customer service would have been amazing had they actually sent the correct piece. Instead, I feel they were humoring me by sending me something without really taking customer satisfaction seriously and making sure it was the right piece. As it was a lot of trouble to bring up the issue and receive this piece, it does not seem worth bringing up to them again at this point.

As for the product itself that was in the box, we were able to create a simple loop layout with the bridge but that results in leaving a bunch of pieces out of it, making it a smaller layout altogether. My daughter seems to like the train set enough despite these problems and for that, I am satisfied with the product.

We purchased this air hockey table for our children for hanukkah this year.The order was placed with plenty of time for it to arrive.However, it did not get to us until almost a month late and to top everything off, it did not work!!Once my husband put it together (with directions that did not help at all) there was something wrong with the score board as soon as you would start a game, it would automatically give a goal to one of the players and then not allow any more scoring for the game.According to all of the paper work, we were to contact the maker.We called the 800 number that was provided and never received a return phone call or speak with a human being.

Black And Decker Junior 24 Piece Tool Set (Window Box)

Nice looking tool set, but could have been designed better.

There are nails and a hammer, but nowhere to nail them into.The provided blocks of wood don't work, they only fit the screws.And they're so thin that if you put the wood piece on the ground/table the screw won't really go in very far.

The drill is not battery operated, but it will move when the trigger is pressed.That's nice in a way because you don't have to change the batteries.Unfortunately pressing the trigger rotates the drill right, and releasing it rotates it back to the left.The result is that all rotation is canceled out.My two year old loves to the set, but hasn't yet figured out how to use the drill because you have to pull it out of a screw each time before releasing the trigger.

Overall, the set is ok, I'm not going to bother returning it (well, and I can't because the packaging had to be cut into pieces to open).But if I were to make the purchase again I'd go with a different set.Also, I saw the 42-piece version of this on sale for $16.99 at stores after buying this one here on Amazon.

My two year old son loves tools so this was bought for him as a gift.It is a large set with many cool, fairly durable parts.. overall worth the money.However, because the toys included in the set are not very interactive, meaning they don't make any sound or do much, my son has been a little less interested in them than I would have thought.

My son is just turning two and has had this toolset for about 4 months. He plays with it every single day, and brings the saw, hammer, and pliers with him everywhere he goes. We also got the Black and Decker Junior Build and Play Dump Truck. The toolset works great with the truck, and the truck gives a good purpose for the tools. When my son is done sawing between the books on our bookshelf and hammering the playground equipment, he pulls out the screwdriver and fixes the truck before dinner. Makes for a very satisfying day. :)

The tools are sturdy and they look realistic. I'm generally a fan of wooden toys, but I'm grateful these are plastic he can hammer the table or drop the screwdriver on his toes without doing damage. Glad they are not battery-powered either. He can bring the drill to bed with him and we know it won't wake him up in the night.

The table itself is made of a lot of different pieces in back of the mirror, including lotus blossoms in black and yellow, snakes in Cleo's blue and yellow colors, scarab wings, cat and anubis legs, and a really cool MH logo chandelier light.The same logo, in translucent blue, is on the back of the chair too.

It also comes with more jewelry for Cleo, some make up items, a make up case with ring and more jewelry, and a drawer to put all the loose pieces in.

There are many little items that come with it (I wouldn't suggest for a small child, though at least 7-8 years old! The items are easy to lose with a younger girl...)

The back of the box leads you to believe the house is filled with furniture. NOWHERE on the box is a list of contents or that the furniture is sold separately. My seven-year-old spent her own money on this and was disgusted to find out there was no furniture. The shutters and doors are flimsy and probably will fall off quickly. Definitely not worth the $35 she spent. Before you think this is no big deal, price the furniture. It's outrageous! The empty house is worth about $15 with the doll it comes with. The other two dolls you see in the picture are cardboard.

This was purchased at a retail store. That's why I mention the misleading packaging, although Amazon's description could also be misleading. It states, "The house also comes with bundles of accessories, including: Mini Blossom Flowerpot Lalaloopsy doll and pet Picnic table with umbrella and seating Jug and drinking cups 2 flower pots." The statement "...bundles of accessories, including the following..." suggests to me "...including, but not limited too..." It should simply list the contents. If my daughter hadn't been "wanting this her entire life", I would have taught her about how to return a purchase. Buyer beware.

I picked this up for my Ellaloopsy and her loopsy minis at Walmart for $29.99.I wouldn't have paid more than that for sure.It is super cute though and includes a mini-loopsy with pet, some little accesories and picnic table.All the little furniture sets that are sold for lalaloopsy minis coordinate and match perfectly with this house set.There is a cute little elevator that works pretty easily and Ella had no trouble operating (she is 6), doors and windows throughout, and it is very colorfully decorated; circa Lalaloopsy style.There is the pet attic, with plenty of room for the loopsy pets to circulate and snuggle.And rooms for all of the furniture sets to be set up in should you choose to buy them for your child.Should you choose not to, that is fine too as everything is colorful and fun even without the added furniture.Ella already had the bedroom set from Christmas, before getting this for her Birthday, so she put that inside and played away.There is plenty of room for lots of mini-lalaloopsy friends.Ella has about 10 now and they all congregate throughout the house and even have room to invite a few Polly Pockets and Little Einsteins over for tea!Highly Recommended :)

Strawberry Shortcake - Strawberry Shortcake Deluxe Toddler / Child Costume

Cute costume and will serve its purpose for Halloween, but it has been way more trouble than it's worth. My daughter wears a size 3T, so I originally ordered the toddler size. It wouldn't even go over her torso. I ended up returning it and ordering the child's small which said it would fit size 6-8, and it fit great...except for the elastic in the sleeves which would even be too tight for my one-year-old's arm. My daughter is petite, so this is never an issue. I removed the elastic, turned up the sleeve, restitched, and put in an appropriate sized piece of elastic.

I must agree with others on this. The costume runs very small and the material is cheap. I only bought it because my daughter didn't want to be anything other than strawberry shortcake. It isn't worth the price. I bought two other costumes for my boys and they were great.

We ordered this costume in a size medium.It lists the costume as "Toddler" in the title of the item, but then for sizing it lets you choose from Toddler, Small, or Medium.We chose Medium, and there was even a price increase reflected in the price.When the item showed up, it was NOT a Medium.It was a Toddler size (2-4, for kids ages 1-2).It was teeny tiny.I was totally annoyed that I specifically chose Medium from the menu and was sent a toddler size anyway.Now it is sold out on Amazon in the medium size, so I returned it and ordered from another vendor completely.

There are two different Strawberry Shortcake costumes.There is this one and then there is another version in which the child pictured is different and the dress cut is more straight than A-lined (like in this costume).This costume is made of a NON-STRETCHING material.There is absolutely NO give to it.Not only that, the material is very flimsy and cheap, so even the slightest tug at the seam will cause the seam to start to come undone and it will cause the material to start to fray.There were several spots where this was already happening and my daughter did not even put it on! She would not even be able to try it on due to the small size we got in the mail.If it was already falling apart WITHOUT being tried on, I'd hate to see it after wear.

The other S.S. costume IS made out of a stretch material.It still runs small, so order a size up.My daughter wears a size 5.The size Small (4-6) costume barely fits and the tights are too small.Order a Medium (8-10) for a child wearing a size 5, FYI.But I would not recommend this particular costume.It looks cuter in the picture and the material is shiny and has a different look... but it is a piece of junk compared to the other costume which is much more well made.

Please, parents--listen to me and the other reviewers who rated this costume poorly. It is NOT worth the money! This outfit should be FIVE dollars, maybe! Not $25-$35. I am completely angered that a costume company would try to pass this off as a Halloween "costume." You could go to Walmart and find girls' nightgowns that have better craftsmanship, and are of higher-quality materials, than this flimsy thing. I, like other parents, bought this for my daughter only because she insisted she wanted to be Strawberry Shortcake for Halloween, nothing else. If I had known the very, VERY low quality this costume would be, I would have put my foot down. It is absolutely not worth the money! The dress is the thinnest material ever, and doesn't even have a hem sewn in. Unlike the dress, which runs small in size, the tights are definitely NOT "tight" and will be bunched around the ankles after 2 or 3 steps. The hat is relatively cute, but doesn't stay firmly on my daughter's head. This is a very, very disappointing costume. Please don't buy it--unless you find it at a yard sale for $3. That's about what it's worth.

I ordered the small for my daughter who just turned 4 because all of the reviews said it ran a little small. The dress is way too small, it barely comes down over her butt and is skin tight (she is also very thin for her age)There are strings hanging off of it everywhere and it is very poorly made. The hat is also too small and doesnt fit right on her head and you cant even tell what it is suppose to be, it does not sit on her head the same way it does on the girl in the picture. The tights however are huge and loose and baggy. It looks very cheap and you cant really even tell what she is.

My other complaint is I ordered the costume in the end of September told it wouldnt ship until after Halloween. I changed the shipping to over night shipping and as soon as I did it shipped out.

Teamson Espresso Round Table and Chairs Set -The Windsor Collection

We purchased this for our daughter but were displeased with multiple things once we opened it up:

1. The finish is not a stained espresso like the description says; rather, it is painted with very little sheen as shown in the picture.

2. The wooden screw covers do not stay in place well.

3. Some of the stickers leave residue that is difficult to remove, therefore leaving a mark that diminishes the overall appearance.

4. Some of the stickers peeled the paint off, which then exposed the raw wood of an entirely different color underneath.

This table is sturdy and our daughter loves sitting at it.However, I wish I would have paid for a better quality table.I'd like to send it back, but I'm not sure that the ordeal of taking it apart and shipping it back is worth it.

FinishToy Chest

This was my first experience ordering from Amazon. It was AmazING! We are long

distance grandparents. During our last visit I saw a need for more storage of

all the toys she was accumulating. I sent pictures of toy chests from different

web sites to let the parents choose the one they liked.My daughter-in-law has

purchased many things through Amazon, and sent back the picture of this toy chest.

I ordered it and had it shipped to their home. It arrived sooner than expected.

The next week, we arrived and watched as it was assembled. It was terrific! It

was easy to put together; had all the right parts; nothing missing and nothing

left over :) The top has a wonderful safety feature that keeps it from dropping

on the child's head as she reaches in for toys, and the front of the toy box

is designed so the child can grip it and when the top closes, it does not pinch

their fingers.OK..this is long..let me say that the whole experience was won-

derful. I will order through Amazon again, and it was a pleasure to have everything

go right.

This chest is proof that there is no way to get off cheap, when looking for a place to store your children's toys.While there may be some actual real wood on this thing, most of it is pressboard or other poor product.The hinges are held in by small screws, two of which have already fallen out of their pre-drilled threads.We had to replace them with larger screws.I doubt these will hold, either, as the wood is of poor quality.As for fitting--the cover is askew and impossible to align properly because it is predrilled.My advice is to spend a little more.You'll be happy you did.It would have been nice to keep this for another use, but the minute he outgrows it, we'll use it for firewood.

There are many aspects of this $170 toy box that disappoint.For that kind of money I expected a great deal more that what was delivered.

First of all, right out of the box there were missing screws.I know missing screws don't speak to quality, but I'm not done yet so stay tuned.

I was able to quickly move through the assembly process right up to the last big screw.For whatever reason the pre-drilled hole that was put into the wood was drilled too big and the screw would not screw into it and hold.I attempted to put a couple of tooth picks in the hole and the retry the screw, but I found that this toy box is not made of solid wood, but of pressed sawdust.So no matter what I tried to do, the screw would not hold; the pressboard kept crumbling away.

That leads me to my biggest frustration in paying this much for a toy box; it should be solid wood, not cheap pressboard.Nonetheless I marched ahead and figured I see what I could do with just one screw missing.

I then went ahead and tried to attach the hinges.I was able to find a screw to replace the one that never came and got the hinges attached.They are spring loaded so the lid won't close on anyone's fingers.The problem with these hinges is that they don't allow the lid to close at all.The lid sits about one inch from being fully closed and just bounces on the hinges.It looks very tacky for the lid to sit there ajar like that; especially for what's suppose to be such a high quality piece of furniture.

My overall opinion of this toy box is that it's way over priced, even if everything had worked properly.For that price the wood and materials should be first class, not crumby pressboard that crumbles apart as you try to put screws into it and lousy spring-loaded hinges that don't close all the way.I would expect sold wood and hydraulic hinges.

My advice is to steer clear of this toy box and find something else that isn't so over-priced and falls so short of expectations.

Please do not waste your money on this toy box.Whoever designed this must have gone out of their way to figure out how to use the least amount of material and still be able to call it solid wood.As another reviewer noted, the panels are very thin.Look closely at the picture.The only substantial pieces of wood are at the edges of the box and the back rail.The front, back, sides, and bottom are all made of very thin wood.The lid panel is slightly thicker, but it too only has a thick piece of wood along the front, the sides having smaller pieces for reinforcement.To make matters worse, the front (lip) piece on mine was cracked about half way through, right in the center.I had to glue it and reinforce it with a piece of wood on the underside, thus negating the anti-pinch gap.I doubt that my reinforcing job will stand up to kids sitting, climbing, or jumping off it.Even if yours comes without a crack, I don't think the wood will be strong enough to withstand the weight of kids on it.Also, the screws that hold the lid closers on are very small with fine threads.They stripped very easy during assembly.There is a fine line between being snug and being stripped.Be careful when putting those screws in.I ended up just using a small bolt and nut.Finally, the lid closers do not allow the lid to close completely.Perhaps, after some use, the springs will loosen up and allow the lid to completely close.Until then, it will just have to stick up about an inch, unless something is placed on the lid to weigh it down.Instead of fixing it, I probably should have returned it for a refund.I sure am getting sick of buying items that are broke and/ or cheaply made.Despite all the negatives, it doesn't look too bad.I just don't think it is going to last too long.In my opinion and based on the quality, this should be sold for around $50.Even then, the manufacturer should put a little more material into the product.
