I just got the Killerspin Jet 500 and all I can say is WOW!!!I've played with various paddles over the years, but this took my game to a whole new level.I had been using a cheap paddle that I got 15 years ago and there is no comparison.Its a little pricey, but I play pretty often and was getting beat regularly and decided it was time for an upgrade.The only negative I have is that this thing stinks!I got it out of the packaging and it has a very strong acetone type smell too it.I've only had it a few days, so I'm hoping it will go away.Bottom line, if you think you're a good player and you use a junk paddle, this will take you to the next level.Buy it, you won't be disappointed

I am an intermediate player and is very satisfied with the JET500.

This bat offers tremendous spin with the forehand.

The backhand offers more control and speed.

I purchased this paddle as a third choice to two lighter composite versions, and this has become my favorite.I've found this paddle offers excellent spin qualities and has an excellent feel and weight about it.I've only been using it a short time so my comparisons are somewhat limited, but if you're an intermediate to good player taking up the sport again while technology has advanced, this model is a good choice.I have been playing some pretty stiff veteran competition and this paddle seems to hold its own.I have opted to upgrade to a professional paddle, twice the price, so I would welcome an opportunity to update this review in the future and compare qualities of the paddles.

Choosing a paddle is a tough decision because, unless you have an opportunity to test a wide assortment of paddle varieties, it is a "trial and error" process of decision-making, based on faith or "word of mouth".Some people buy what the experts use, but unfortunately, each player plays differently at various stages of development, so what's great for one player may not suit another.I don't envy anyone having to make this tough decision, but I can say this paddle seems to be one that my opponents respect.

Very impressed with the way this racket plays. I was using before a Killerspin model that comes in the two pack, and I thought it was good, but the difference between this racket and that is night and day. The sheer amount of spin I can put on the ball was immediately noticed by my partner. Where he would have normally hit my shot back, the spin on the ball with the new racket easily puts another 6" worth of trajectory on it, and the ball will wiz right past where he thought the shot should have gone. Awesome!

Another thing I noticed over the lesser model was that off-center hits seem to be much more forgiving with the new racket. There is a larger "sweetspot" on the this racket with which my poor form isn't exposed as much as usual :-)

The weight and thickness are what attracted me most to this model over the more expensive 600. The feel when the racket hits ball is more of a dead feeling. I've used a friend's Stiga that is pretty light, but every hit on the ball vibrates up your hand. After a while your hand is tired and you don't really know why, but with this racket it feels as smooth as silk and I can play a long time without any discomfort.

The quality is good, and the laminated construction with multi-color inserts looks good. My only gripe is the cheap sticker they put around the edge of the racket. It will probably come off in a few games. I think it will look better without it anyway.

Overall, i'm very impressed and it has definitely changed my game! Worth every penny.

The first word I want to say is "Awesome". If you are in between intermediate to good player, this is the best paddle for you. The best thing of this paddle is excellent back spin you can generate during playing. You have to adjust more to play smash but the spin control is really very good. The paddle has improved my skills a lot.
