Levels of Discovery Time To Read Rocker Girls

Very, very nice heirloom quality..... Beautiful attention to details. Great weight and sturdy construction. Perfect gift for any child. Granddaughter Oksana loves it!

This is an amazing product. I bought it for my niece's birthday and she loves every aspect of it...The side stand, the cushion to sit on, and the rocker are all... my niece uses it not only to sit down and enjoy a good book on colours, farm animals or numbers but also uses it to rock her animals to sleep... It is good to see her enjoying itself so much!

LeapFrog Learn-Around Playground with Tube Topper

I got this for my daughter at 8 months and 6 months later she still plays with it everyday. We saw a benefit immediately when she used it for standing. We really feel it helped her with leg coordination and balance.

*** Warning***

This toy is not the most stable when leaned against. We keep it diagnol in a corner so that it can't tip over. This toy has fallen over and backwards on top of our daughter. No harm done, but it does scare her.Even now, if not up against something, she easily pushes it over.

This toy "teaches":

Numbers

Letters

Colors

Opposites

Rhyming

Textures

Cause & Effect

AND MORE.....

My daughter still finds new ways for this toy to entertain her.She loves the music, she loves putting the balls down the slide, she's had phases where she HAS to flip the little "change-mode" book, or she must push down the frog.

I would recommend buying this at 6-10 months and will last a loooong time.I don't see how someone could be disappointed with this toy.It is well worth the money for the hours and hours of "entertainment" (a.k.a. peace and quiet...sort of)!

My son loves this toy, and has since about five months.I agree that it can be a little unstable, but at one now he doesn't have a problem with that and loves it still. You should note that there is a recall on this because several children have gotten a bruise by putting their arm in the ball shoot.I got the shoot topper from LeapFrog offered to correct the problem (no problem when I called; arrived quickly), however, once you put it on the ball shoot doesn't work.We haven't put it on since he loves dropping the ball in the shoot so much; we just keep an eye on him.I've never seen him try to put his hand or arm in there.

Actually, not a choking hazard as someone below stated. There's a slot where a child's arm can get stuck.

We were skeptical of this toy when we first got it; wanted to send it back, in fact. But it grew on us, and our 6-month-old daughter. Now she's 13 months and still spends some time with it every day. Its versatility makes it the anchor of our growing stash of toys.

Part of the reason we were disappointed at first, though, was that it's rather limited unless you attach the four legs. The toy's literature claims it can be fun when the "keyboard" portion is just sitting on the floor, for babies who can't yet sit up on their own, but certain functions (like the small letters of the alphabet) don't operate without the legs. Once our daughter was able to sit up and we put the legs on, we found a huge variety of songs, recorded rhymes, and noises. The computer in this toy is amazing. The other day it said something we hadn't even heard before.

Someone else wrote that the toy didn't announce the color of each of the three balls once they're tossed down the chute. The only problem we've had is that it occasionally gets it wrong, but the kid doesn't notice (I wouldn't be relying on this to teach your child numbers and letters anyway).

The "learning playground" function is definitely quieter. When the "musical playground" bit gets going, there's a constant beat, and that gets old. But this is compensated by the five levers beneath the number keys. Touch them and you get different kinds of harmonicas. This is just an ingenious toy.

A similar toy from Leap Frog is the "Learn & Groove Musical Table," which is square-shaped. A friend has one of these, and it might even be superior to the Playground. It seems less likely to tip over, and unlike the Playground, can be enjoyed equally from all sides.

Want LeapFrog Learn-Around Playground with Tube Topper Discount?

My son loves this toy.We got it for him when he started pulling up on things and he loved all the sounds and the music. He figured out the balls right away and that keeps him busy for a long time.He just discovered the keys underneath play the harmonica music. He will hit them and smile while they make music.I can see that this will grow with him as well.Once he is walking and no longer needs the table for stability, he will still be able to use it for letters and numbers.I found this online at another web-site, and went to several stores to try and see it in person.Couldn't find it, but was pleasantly surprised to find it here for less than the other site and with free shipping. This is a great toy.As other reviews noted, it does tend to slip on hard surfaces, but we just put some "grippy" tape on the bottom and that seemed to fit it.Other than that we are delighted.

Monster High - Paper Tablecover Party Accessory

This is made from a thin crepe paper type of material not plastic/vinyl. The paper may be coated but a spilled drink did soak through. But the paper does feel better than vinyl so I treat it as more of a decoration for a table rather than protection.

It doesn't rip easily when unfolding so it is durable. The print/pattern is bright and nicely detailed. The underside is also patterned. It did fit a rectangle table with 8 kids (2 at each ends) so it is a decent size.

My daughter is in the stage of being in love with monster high so we had it as the theme for her birthday party. The table we used for display and serving was actually smaller than what this would cover so we cut it and covered 2 tables.

12 Tropical leaves -luau party decorations

Arrived within a week. Perfect for my luau. I was hoping they were a little larger. Size is about 10 inches

I don't know why I expected something better, but I realized when I opened them that I could have gone to the dollar store and bought a bunch of fake leaves for a lot less. They were a lot smaller than I imagined (although the size is right there) but they are tough (plastic mesh backed) and a cool shape.I used them for a dinosaur party.I hung paper streamers from the ceiling and taped the leaves every foot or so alternating to simulate vines. They do look pretty cool, but the design is only on one side.

Martin Kilpatrick MK Match Point Set Table Tennis Racket

Just got my new MK racket in and it is perfect for beginners.I have a much more expensive racket that I use but needed another one for my co-workers to use when we play. For the price you can't beat this racket. The rubber is very nice quality and allows for good control. The weight is a little light but I probably wouldn't even notice if it wasn't for my other paddle.I would recommend this paddle to anyone who is starting out and looking for thier first racket upgrade.Don't waste your time and money on any generic off the shelf $5 rackets. You will definitely get more than you pay for with this racket. The case and balls are just added bonuses with this set.I have actually purchased another MK case for my nicer paddle.

I got this one and the single (Blaze) racket to complete a home set. excellent

balls and both rackets are amazing in defense response and attack. very light

and balanced feel all around. the quality of the padding and woodwork is good.

yes, I would recommend buying it.

This product I purchased from amazon is really nice. The bat has a 100% speed rating on the MK website in collaboration with Butterfly for NA. The spin is a bit less but that can be rectified if you are just learning to play. Nice material overall and generally a nice touch! The 3 star balls which come alongwith are also a pleasure to play.

I bought this set to start learning and given that the cover itself costs $8 odd...it seems a perfect bargain for abt $20. Go for it!!!

The best bang for buck on Amazon for a paddle.I own two of these and just ordered two more. When they arrive everyone can play at any table we visit.

If you think that you might want to go cheaper than this, don't. Learn to play on pips in on both sides from the start and start rockin it.Again, the quality of these is high performance!Just keep the plastic sheets that the paddle comes with and replace after play. The rubber will last! The high quality 3 stars are awesome as well.

This racquet has allowed me to switch from penhold to shakehand in a matter of weeks. I now kill all my penhold counterparts. Also, because of my increase in performance with the competition, this paddle has also increased my offhand skills, switching racquet hands. GET IT!

Trademark Poker Shut The Box Game, 10 Numbers

We first played this game at Chownings Tavern in Williamsburg. It was instantly addicting.Found it on Amazon for much less than they were asking. It is essentially a bar-dice type game but with a board (in this case, wooden box).We keep it next to our breakfast table and play a couple rounds at a time.Plan to give these as gifts for Christmas.

Our family loves this game and I was excited to purchase it as a family Christmas gift.I was disappointed that the game did not arrive in the box shown on the picture.Instead it arrived in a plain brown cardboard box and as others have stated, it arrived without directions.(Which wasn't a biggie for us since we already know how to play.)The dice are also not your standard sized dice, but rather baby sized dice.I wish I would have read the other reviews before purchasing this item and I am disappointed that a company can feel good about false advertising their product.

Little Tikes Endless Adventures Easy Store Jr Play Table

We purchased this table when our daughter was 18 months old. It is the best table out there, it is very sturdy and she learned to get in and out of it very easily which was a plus over tables with separate chairs. Our daughter is now 2+ yrs old and we still use it every day. We use it to draw and paint, take it outside to our garden and bring it back in, nothing seems to damage it, my husband and I even sit on it sideways. I love the fact that it folds nicely for storage. This table has been a hit with our daughter's little friends too, when they come over several kids will sit together and eat and I've even taken it to the park for picnics. BEST BUY!!!We expect to be using it for at least another 2 years or more. Even our 5 year old nephews want to eat breakfast in it whenever they stay over!!

Play Table is sturdy and colorful and my grandson (18 months) loves it.It is good for small children better than just table and chairs which tend to tip over. I wish it were a little bigger but it will fit 4 smalls or 2 larger children nicely.

Lipper International Child's Round Table & 2 Chairs, Natural

I ordered the rectangular version of this table and chairs set even after reading the other reviews. This was after my husband said that he could get it together no problem. When the table and chairs arrived my husband was busy, so I tried putting everything together.I had a hard time getting all the screws in and was close to stripping the heads as well.My husband helped me out.He backed out all the screws, applied soap to them as lubrication (i.e., from a bar of bath soap) and screwed them back in.The table and chairs are as sturdy as can be and the quality of wood is wonderful (especially for the price...most sets I looked into were in the $300 to $500 range).I would recommend this product.

For reference, we had considered a $40 set from Ikea and a $250 set from PBKids.I am so glad we went with this! I love that the table and chairs are all solid wood.No cheap veneers to hide MDF or particle board!I also was pleased to find out this wood is not raw, but has a thin clear finish [and not a thick polyurethane coating--different pictures on different sites make it hard to determine].It seems like I could use tung oil in the future or another natural wax if the finish wears away, but it might take years; it looks that durable! The box corner was smashed when we received it, but the contents were unharmed. The box was not that heavy, but I unloaded it at the front door anyway. There was a wood smell, but no chemical varnish/adhesive smell as with other furniture we've purchased. One of the table top slats had some stain that looked like sun-bleaching, but this is for a kid's room and will soon be covered by books or crayon or paint, so I'm not worried, and it's not that noticable. FYI, the "shelf" is not open the entire width of the top. It is mounted to the cross supports, so there are 4 wedge-shaped shelf sections between the legs.As for ease of assenbly, when I tried to attach the second table leg, I couldn't get the screw in and I thought, "Oh no, here we go... just like those other reviews about holes not lining up...", but as it turns out, my 2 year old "helper", shoved some dowels [for the chairs] in there, so the assembly really was a cinch once I distracted him with another project! The table and chairs are slightly too big for the 2 year old, but he can still climb on and off the chairs easily [the table reaches his mid-chest while seated].I know he'll get many years of use. Mommy and daddy can fit on the chairs too!The round shape is great for smaller spaces [compared to a square].I recommend you buy before they discontinue this solid wood set!

I had hoped the opening in the table had gone all the way through. It is quite small and does not hold much. Other than that, I like this table. Very easy to put together.

Two of the 4 chairs we purchased broke within 2 years of purchase. They were only used by children under 8 years old and weren't thrown across the room or jumped on by monkeys. They split apart generally starting by the drill holes.

The table has never been completely stable.Didn't notice this until we installed wood floors. The table rocks back and forth.I trace this problem to the mismatch between screw lengths and screw holes mentioned by others.

Could have been a lot better, they do look great and are perfect size for the under 10 set.But they just don't last.

I ordered this for my son who will be 2 in march. I love this set. It's very sturdy my son likes to stand on the table and jump. The chairs support a full grown adult with no problem. It looks very high quality better than the products you would get at your regular local stores. Also, I painted the top of the table with chalkboard paint and it went on smoothly. I'm planning on buying 2 more chairs. I don't remember having problems with putting this together. The chairs were especially easy to put together.

Little Tikes Thomas and Friends Toy Box

I may have missed it in the product description on-line, but I don't recall seeing the fact mentioned that the two side-walls and the floor of the toy chest are fabric rather than a rigid material. The bottom of the chest does not seal entirely. Those issues may not matter in some instances, but if you intend to put anything heavy in the chest or if you have small items that will gravitate toward the bottom, this may not be what you're looking for.It remains to be seen how the chest will hold up under daily use by active children, or in the event it needs to be moved from place to place.I have my doubts about the product's durability.

Bought this for my 2 kids to put all of their smaller toys in.Very easy to put together, probably took a total of 10 mins.Very sturdy plastic and the railway integrated on top of the lid is also awesome, because they have thomas the train toys that can go with it.It's a decent size not to big and not to small plus the pouches on the side can hold stuffed animals, and smaller toys.My only complaint with it, is that the lid doesn't click into place, it just rests on top. (so you can flip it upside down for the train track) Other than that it's easy for the kids to open and close.Good toy chest for a decent price, would recommend to anyone with kids w/lots of toys!

Buy Little Tikes Thomas and Friends Toy Box Now

As another reviewer complained about, the lid isn't permanently hinged and just sits on top with a couple of round pegs on either side to serve as hinges. However, the problem is that when the lid is opened it doesn't stay open, it will sit precariously in the open position for a few seconds and then fall back down. The lid is actually quite heavy and able to hurt. My son is 2 1/2 and is able to open the lid but EVERY time it falls on his head or hands as soon as he tries to reach in the box. He gets as much frustrated as hurt because he can't understand why this box keeps hurting him. Yes, it's cute and durable, but the thoughtless and dangerous design make it unworthy of the Little Tikes logo.

The box performs the function it was designed to do.Hold toys.

However, the lid is not attached and is heavy. It easily slides off when opened and will scratch up your wall if it's against the wall. It's also quite noisy when that happens.

The lid is the biggest disappointment but as I said, the box serves it's purpose.

Tamiya Work Station with Magnifying Lens

This is an excellent product for the model builder who has to "put it up" every night. It is a good way to have everything set up so you can work at the kitchen table and not get glue or paint on your wife's prize. The light works well but is not as good as a permanently installed, brighter one with a circular magnifier. This one runs on D batteries which give it a long life time before replacement.Overall it works well but a dedicated work bench would be better.

As the other reviewer stated this is certainly no toy; it's very rugged and reliable. The base will not slip due to the rubber attached to each corner. The magnifying glass is more than adequate and the arm is completely adjustable to any angle you might need. I have found there's no slipping or sliding once it's positioned either, which is great! The only drawback might be the light which is good but not great, however considering its size not bad. But that's a minor quibble. I just use my own lamp adjacent to the pad and get all the light I need. The paint holders allow you to place Tamiya paint and liquid glue real well; needless to say that's to be expected. Model Master paints, et al. were not quite as secure.

I would also recommend getting the optional cutting pad which fits perfect and works well. I believe it's the A4 size but check to make sure. Overall a product that does what it claims and Amazon's price was the best I found.

• Contemporary Simple Design

• 6-Foot cord

Overall, the quality is excellent. The only criticism is that more care should be given to both Nova and Amazon in the package it was shipped. Nova uses staple to close the box, almost tearing through and damaging the shade. It was just luck that it was not damaged. I was glad to see the box was not previously opened. However, there was a deep gouge on the base that appears to been there before it was packaged. The Amazon packaging was too big for all the contents I ordered. Despite all the extra movement, no additional damage to this light fixture. Amazon is great. It was replaced quickly and without any hassles...One of the reasons I order throught Amazon...Quality of the lamp was better than I expected, fitting a contemporary living style extremely well...I would order a Nova fixture again, without hesitation.

Clipo Creativity Table 100 Piece Gift Set by Playskool

Fosters creativity, hand-eye coordination and problem solving skills at a basic level. Can be further used to learn or further develop either color matching skills and pattern recognition and formation by building/stacking pieces in a pattern formation. We personally aren't quite there yet but hoping to be with further use of this toy and others. It arrives and is exactly as shown in photo ad, so it is exactly what you can expect it to be when you decide to purchase this toy.If you are considering it for a child I would say go for it, it is a simple toy table that allows children to use their imagination and build creations!FYI our daughter & son like when we take pictures of their cool built structure creations, so it is a way we have been saving their work (and also been doing this with some of their artwork to ensure safekeeping & without the storage hassles we typically face).I do hope this helps and thank you very much for reading ~ Take Care & Have Fun!!!

My daughter got this for Christmas last year. She has played with it about 3 or 4 times in a year. The blocks don't stick together well and fall apart easy. The table takes up too much shelf space to never be played with. It will be this spring's garage sale fodder.

Gund Crawl with Me Turtle Animated Musical 11.5" Plush

()

My daughter is not quite crawling yet, but she likes the Crawl with me Turtle. She dances to the music and gets upset when it stops.

I personally find the voice kind of annoying; the first thing my husband asked when he saw it was if there was a way to turn the voice off. (There is not.) Also, the turtle crawls VERY SLOWLY. It's definitely something your baby will not have trouble catching once they get moving!

()I love the brand Gund.My daughter has a few Gund stuffed animals and I was excited to add this turtle to the collection. Turtles are also my moms favorite animal, so she was super excited too.I have never owned a Gund "animated plush".

First impression:When the toy arrived, the packaging threw me off a little. It came wrapped in a plastic bag and seemingly thrown in box. Um. Okay. No big deal, and may have been just a Vine thing, but it definitely was not "gift worthy" if you're planning on sending it as a gift.

The next thing I noticed was how study the turtle felt cool, that means it can handle my 15 month old. However, the four legs are thinly covered pieces of metal (not a very squishy toy). The rest looked exactly like the picture with accurate colors.

Crawling: This thing moves SLOW or not at all.Sometimes it just makes the motion. My daughter does not mind, and she still thought it was great. She was thoroughly entertained for at least 10 minutes* the first time we used it.My two cats also seemed to think it was pretty interesting as a bonus.

Sounds:The melody is fine, the words of encouragement become a little annoying. ("Crawl with me baby! Touch my shell! Now you got it baby!" etc)The sound is a cute (or creepy) happy little kid voice.I will mimic others and say that if I had to change one thing, I'd really really like an on/off switch for the sounds, because without it being "on" its just a semi-stuffed animal. It is a shame that it can't crawl and be silent. My daughter though does like the voice, and seems to enjoy touching the shell (activating the voice) of the turtle when she walks by.

Overall, I would recommend this toy.It is cute and fun, my daughter really loves it, my mom (nana) adores it, and for what it is a fun interactive toy, I really like it.

(*10 minutes it pretty good in toddler-time)

Buy Gund Crawl with Me Turtle Animated Musical 11.5" Plush Now

()My daughter is close to crawling so I liked the idea of a turtle that would crawl with her when she started to crawl. The turtle says phrases such as "Crawl with me", "You're doing great baby" and "Catch me." These phrases are nice encouragement for the baby but for a parent, they start to grow old fast as does the music that plays as the turtle crawls. It only plays ONE song as it crawls, which I find to be monotonous and more song variety would make the turtle more appealing as would more phrases or just a music only option. She gets bored with him after a few minutes.

Another issue I found with the turtle is that he crawls really well on hard floors, but if you have a thicker carpet or put him on a blanket on the floor with the baby, he gets stuck and doesn't move very well. When he does crawl, he moves pretty slowly it would be nice if it had a mechanism to change the crawl speed as baby gets more proficient with crawling.

Overall, the idea was better than the delivery of this product. While my baby likes it fine, I wouldn't purchase it for the asked price though given all the downsides.

()The new Gund "Crawl with Me Turtle" toy is so awesomely cute I dare anybody to keep from smiling while watching this little fella strut his stuff. This slow-moving animated plush turtle walks and talks and plays music and everybody in the house baby, brother and sister, mom and dad, grandma and grandpa...even the pets will find this toy easy to love. No, it's not educational (unless encouraging an infant to crawl is "teaching"), but that's not the point. The "Crawl with Me Turtle" is just one of those toys that you get for the little one because maybe, someday, they'll have a faint memory of Mr. Turtle lumbering across the floor in front of them while they were giggling their Snuggie off.

The Gund Crawl with Me Turtle is super cute and just the right size.He crawls forward slowly and encourages crawling babies to tap his back. The touch is very responsive, so the baby does not need to be very precise. The video shows how long the turtle takes to start over again after being "caught."

Other than the lack of options (music and voice, crawl speed), this is a charming toy that will likely not annoy parents too much.

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Beginner Band Set

The whole set looks and feels unfinished. The wood is rough and uncured.

Xylophone is totally useless. Keys are made of wood. It hardly makes any sound and when it does it sounds very off-key.

Rattlers and harmonica work fine. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

I don't write reviews very often but had to because Melissa and Doug thoroughly disappoint me with this chinzy band set. Like another reviewer stated, the wood is unfinished and rough. The Kazoo doesn't work at all and the xylophone hardly makes any noise. I could have gotten a much better set at Target. Way disappointing. I am shocked too because normally Melissa and Doug make very good products.

My 18 month old loves this set!He isn't able to use the kazoo or harmonica yet, but he loves play the xylophone and shake the tamborine while I play the harmonica. It's fun for the whole family.

When I first opened the package I thought it was a little strange that the xylophone is all wood(I was expecting metal bars.It took a little while to get used to the sound of the wooden bars compared with metal. My only complaint is that some of the paint has chipped off of the green bar after a couple weeks of use.Otherwise a great way to introduce your child to the world of instrumental music!

I wanted to write an opinion of this because several reviewers say items don't work.My father tried the kazoo and could not get it to make any sound. Then two-year-old Liam put it in his mouth and made sound. It's a kazoo, people. You have to vocalize into it to get sound. You can't just blow.

The xylophone is wood, not metal. But it makes a beautiful sound and is appreciated by little kids, if not adults that have higher expectations. We haven't had it long enough to comment on the paint chipping.

The castanetes do work you can't hold them in your hand or the sound is muffled.Hold them by the ties and rap them against your other hand. They're great!

Contrary to other reviewers, I found the harmonica worked surprisingly well.Once the kid figures out not to bite it, he'll be fine with it.

I like the "unfinished" feel of the overall product. The toys are simple, with a hand-crafted feel.I much prefer the kids play with these than cheap plastic toys, or toys that make all the noise for you.A child that's used to video games andelectronic gadgets is not going to appreciate this toy.

The bottom line is this is a BEGINNER music set an introduction to musical sounds that the child creates himself!I'm happy to let kids be kids with this simple toy.

We bought this for our daughter's birthday and she loves it! We had a little paint come off of one of the clam-like clap things (very little and it was our fault...I dropped it on a hard floor). Other than that, no problems. It was shipped very well and was received with no defects of any kind.
