Delta Airlines Die-Cast Airport Play Set

We are taking a big trip this spring and my 3-year-old son can't wait to "Go on a Delta airplane Mom!"I was originally looking for just a model plane but was thrilled to discover this airport play set. When it arrived I was disappointed that the vehicles that go along with it are a different scale than the plane, you can't exactly roll the stairs up to the door or reload the food (ha!) because they are rather larger. And a couple of the signs are very lightweight and flimsy, just breathing on them wrong can knock them down. Not that my son gives a hoot about any of this, he adores this set and plays with it every chance he gets.

I purchased this as a gift for our 3 year old grandson to be included in a special Disney World Trip gift at Christmas. This was to discuss his first airplane ride. I thought he would play with it a little, but he loved it. I explained what each of the trucks did to service the aircraft so he would understand the trip. The other presents were second to this. He loved it.

Cute toy.My boys love to build airports with their blocks and these plane sets do the trick for making it "real."The toys are sturdy, but not indestructible. If stepped on or left out for the puppy they can lose a tail fin. However, they do stand up to normal play.I would recommend them to any kids who like to play "travel" or to build airports out of blocks or Lincoln Logs.

Not all the items shown loosely in photo are actually in the set. Missing are the small car and the truck with the stairs. There are variations in the accessories as well. See photo of actual box set that I received at:I have not opened the box yet, so I cannot comment on the quality of pieces. Vehicles are 1/64 scale like the Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars. The plane is a smaller scale, as you can see in the picture. The missing 2 vehicles are part of a different larger box set also by Daron Worldwide Trading Inc. Made in China. Says 2012 on box, but one Amazon review from Feb 2010. Makes me wonder if company re-released product after removing 2 vehicles and changing some accessories.

Recommended age 3 and up on packaging. Choking hazards are the included 2 small pieces of luggage, which can fit into a child's mouth.

Gund Feature Plush Recordable 13" Animated Teddy

I love this cute little bear and so does my 1 year old and 4 year old.. BUT the wiring isn't very sturdy. The first time it broke I sent it back and the second time I opened it up and it turned out that the wires had pulled out of the button on the foot. I took some electrical tape and fixed it up. It works now, but I think the the hand button is starting to go.

Other than that the sound quality is loud and clear! It's very fun to play with and it has the cutest face.

So if you buy this for maybe an older kid who won't throw it around and be rough on it.. It should hold up, but if it's for a younger kid be prepared to send it back, or fix it!

it doesnt work , it only works for a few hours, already repalced baterries but nothing works.

i will returned as soon as i find how..??

Tabletop Air Hockey Game

This was the last gift I "made ready" after all the kids openend their Christmas gifts. My wife bought this and I figured it would not be much fun and/or that it would not work very good I was wrong.

This is a great toy puck slides on air just like on the big table.Fun, EASY, portable, great coffee table fun.

Good for adults and kids!!

The quality of this product is quite low to say the least. There are dust all over it when I first opened it and some of the holes (that allow air through) aren't even punctured. The battery slot is highly flawed as you need a screw driver every time (you just DON'T do that on a high consumption product) and the batteries barely fit. They just keep popping out, so in the end I had to quickly force the cap on so they would stay. Lastly, the surface isn't completely flat so puck tends to move toward the center (however, I consider this acceptable since most of these tabletop air hockey sets are like this).

I gave this review a 3 and not any lower because it's really cheap. If you go to any store, the price you will get is $30. Plus it does work and it's still a lot of fun. Performance-wise, it's pretty much the same as the $30 set I had a few years back. I just have no confidence that it will last very long.

Few additional notes of interest:

-you get 4 pucks and 4 'sticks'

-requires 2 D size batteries

This was bought for a 6 year old boy. He liked it and it was popular with 4 and 9 year old cousins. Easy to play, no setup time and fast.

I felt it was not very sturdy and probably won't last, but it was a good gift.

This toy would have been fun if it lasted beyond two weeks. It just stopped working. I took it apart, fixed the loose wire, and the on/off switch broke off.

Disappointed.

Park & Sun Blue Sky Series 5709 57-inch Outdoor Soccer Table

My one compaint is that the white piece that makes the edges and corners doesn't stay flat. The corners raise off of the blue surface.

This was very, very time-consuming to put together. The directions were not great, and it arrived in about 75 pieces.Hopefully it will truly be "outdoor" and will not begin to fall apart in the Miami rain. Now that it's together, it works great and looks good.

We were really disappointed when we received our table. It is fairly cheaply made. The rods stick and there are several dead spots on the field. It is especially disappointing as this was the big gift for Christmas.

Table arrived in 2 boxes and was easy to carry. The directions short, but weak. The assembly is pretty easy ands took me 2 hours maximum. Take your time, use your brains and it will be fine. Take your time inserting the player rods, they can bend easily and will make playing tough. We love the table and aren't using the wheels since it makes the table move as we play.

The company is AWESOME, they are sending me a couple parts that broke during installation, one player rod bent and 1 goalie box arrived cracked.

Again, the table is awesome.

Magic: the Gathering - Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius (183) - Return to Ravnica

Niv-Mizzet, the mighty leader of the Izzet guild, is a ghastly powerhouse of a card that is sadly without a home. Right now, it's easier to cast Thundermaw Hellkite if you want a dragon, and play Sphinx's revelation for the near-equivalent of Niv-MIzzet's ping/draw ability, especially when branching into white gives you the best board wipes (Supreme Verdict, Angel of Serenity, Terminus) in Standard by a mile.

Niv-Mizzet, however, is a very good card, so he will eventually find a loving home. Last week Craterhoof Behemoth was a $1 card and now, thanks to the largess of Reanimator, it's a $13 mythic.

Until then, if you're a generous control player, make sure to toss Niv-Mizzet some spare mana if you see him huddling under a small skyscraper for warmth. Just keep a safe distance in case he decides to spend a blue and a red.

got the card in the mail, came in a standard envelope in a heavy card protector sleeve. card was in great shape.

The art work on this card is awesome and its abilities are much more useful than Niv-Mizzet the firemind card.still Todd Lockwood did a fantastic job.

As long as you have the mana this card is brutal especially if you have enough mana to deal 4 damage then cast a teleportal to hit for 6 swinging for 10 total pretty good hit.

Want Magic: the Gathering - Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius (183) - Return to Ravnica Discount?

As with my review of Isperia, Supreme Judge, I mostly got this card because I'm collecting all the Return to Ravnica guild leaders, and at the price, it was cheaper than trying to find it though a booster. While not as strong as Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, still an interesting iteration of the character.

"Skip-Bo" Classic Strategic Card Game

Played this game since I was a little girl. The order came quickly in the mail and I gave it away as a gift. The game was a newer version of SkipBo and didn't look like what's in the photo (the version I played). But nonetheless, it worked just as well.

Little Tikes Fold Away Climber

1st time reviewer.Wanted to let other moms (and dads) know that:

1) easy to put together just follow directions (20-30 max time needed)

2) no big deal: there are no rails between ladder and slide. i positioned that side against one wall in my house and it serves as my additional wall.

3) slide is great! to me the picture of the slide looks like there is a stopper or lip at the end of the slide to stop a baby from flying off the end. There is no abrupt stop or lip.Smooth, safe and FUN ride all the way down.

4) My son (16mths) is so worn out he PASSED out tonight from playing so much today. All I can say is THANK YOU Little Tikes :-)

5) I live in a townhome so no yard and no storage inside. This toy is big enough to provide hours of entertainment.Versitile you can store it away in an instant. I bought this for inside play but this could easily go outside as well.

You cannot go wrong buying this toy from BabyAge. It's Versitile. Play soccer or basketball or slide. Stores Easily. Great Deal.Excellent Toy.

Only drawback I can find is the only ball it comes with is a basketball. It's as big as a Size 1 soccer ball. perfect size for baby.

We got this for our 20 month old son for Christmas hoping it would provide some energy draining fun during the winter months, and we are so glad we did! He plays on it every day for a fairly good amount of time. He plays basketball, then climbs up and goes down the slide, the sends trucks and balls down the slide too. We were worried about the size of it and him outgrowing it too soon, since he's the size of the average 3 yr old, but it's perfect for him. I don't know about how easy it is to fold up since we've never had to do it, but it doesn't look that complicated. Since there is no railing on the back of the platform, we put a floor pillow on our wood floors behind it just in case he fell off, which he has, and he was fine. Overall, we are extremely happy we purchased this, and have recommended it to quite a few friends of ours.

Play Vet Set

My 3 1/2-year old daughter saw this in the Creative Playthings catalog in October.I searched for a less pricey package, but none seemed to fit the bill.At the last minute, I broke down and ordered it.

Totally worth every penny!First off, the shipment came quickly, packed very well in a 100% recycled content box and "pthalate free" bags. All of the pieces fit into the doctor bag, with the exception of the scale and both animals. My daughter sometimes puts the puppy in the bag with everything, and carries the kitty, so it works well for us.

My daughter has expressed frustration with the scale as it is difficult to place either animal on the tray without it falling off.If the tray were an inch wider it would be better, but if an adult helps her, there is no problem. The plastic bandages took some getting used to as they are not very flexible, but after playing for a few minutes she figured it out.

My daughter is having a blast with this kit.She has asked us about the pieces she didn't initially understand (odd looking thermometer, syringe, pager) and now she's running wild fixing all the (stuffed) animals in the house. She won't use it on people, but I love seeing how tender she is while she's "fixing" her animals.

Although at first I was hesitant to pay almost $50 for this, plus shipping of $11, I am glad I did.It was worth every penny!!

Bought this vet set for my granddaughers for Christmas. It arrived in good shape and was just as advertised. All the items in the set were a good size and the girls are enjoying it.

I had selected another kit, but when I looked at the reviews for this one I changed my mind and got this one.I was disappointed that the kit did not include the doctor's jacket.I was also very disappointed in the quality of the bag. There are many pieces included and for the few kids who are already avid pretend vets, perhaps this would be fine. However, for just a toy I should have gotten the cheaper one.I feel gyped.

Every stuffed animal and the family dog and a couple of the neighbor's cats are healthy and happy now that my 6 year old grandson has checked their health. Several stuffed animals were discovered to have had "broken legs" and those were splinted and wrapped in gauze, but I'm sure Dr. Dean will make sure they recover quickly! I gave him the Vet Set for Christmas and it was a hit from the minute he opened it. Very well designed and fun.

D & D Minis: Heroslayer Hydra # 20 - Lords of Madness

This is one of two hydra miniatures I could find online to use in my Dungeons and Dragons game. Using a miniature to represent what my players are fighting really increases their enjoyment of the game, so I try and have at least one representation of each kind of monster they are fighting.

This hydra in particular has a very high market price online, with an average of $40-$50. If you don't have a lot of money to spend and feel crafty, I have seen people buy a handful of cheap dinosaur toys and epoxy extra heads to one. I am short on prep time for my campaign as-is, so I chose the costly but quicker route and bought this mini for $40. It is huge in both size and base, meaning your characters are in for a real encounter should they face this creature.

Overall, the collector nerd in me is still excited when I take this bad boy out. If I treat it well, maybe my son will one day use it in his own game. Thanks for reading and good luck in your dungeoning!

A+ Childsupply Rectangular Table 18"H No.F802318

VERY deceptive. What is shown in the photograph is NOT included. This is ONLY for the table. Very dissatisfied. Although I like the table I am very upset that the chairs were not included. That was why I bought this table.

I thought I was buying a table and six chairs for my Grandkids Birthday today.Had it delivered directly to their house. I was so disappointed when I walked into my daughters house and knew that was not what was pictured and no chairs came with it.In the description of this set it was stated for ages between 3 and 14, more like 2 and 4.The table and chairs in the picture is not the same set as described. You will never find a chair to go underneath this set unless you buy one without legs.It is a very nice table but not what I bought. It will be going back.

Gund Monkey "Mambo"

At this point, I've bought this monkey five times for friends, the children of friends, extended family members, and charitable donations. This dude is awesome.

The first time, I found him after hunting pretty extensively through the entire FAO Schwarz store in New York. I was looking for a gift for a newborn, and none of the other stuffed animals really lived up to snuff. It's hard to beat this dude for softness, cuteness, and huggyness. He's cute, he's soft, he's squishy, he's got the right heft and the right size. I don't like stuffed animals that have hard bits (other than the eyes); animals with joints tend to be less cuddly and less durable. I also think stuffed animals are more satisfying if they're of a certain size; beanie baby types tend to be too small to get a decent hug out of. "Mambo" is a little small for a full-sized adult hug, but he ought to do fine for any child, and he'd be a perfect companion-sized dude for an infant. The other thing about Mambo is that he's a pretty uniformly cute model; sometimes you'll buy stuffed animals and since each particular stuffed animal differs ever so slightly in the stitching, you'll get one that looks mean or scowly or something. I've bought Mambo five times, and every time he's been a happy, pleasant-faced little dude.

I love this monkey. He's so cute and just the right amount of squishy.I can't say how durable it is, as it isn't played with by a child, but it appears to be sturdy.Besides, it's a Gund, and they have a great reputation. However, I don't feel I can give it five stars without it actually having been kid-tested.

As far as being asked to rate its "educational value," I rate it high precisely because it doesn't have any electronic or even noise-making components.Children learn a lot more from being able to use their imaginations and make up a different story every time they play with something than by being directed how to play with it, much less sit back and watch something move and/or talk and call it playing.

It's exactly what the photo shows.A nice soft silky monkey with banana stitched to its hand.Floppy and huggable, good size for a small kid. It's quality made and has a simple charm.

I bought this stuffed monkey toy in order to increase my purchase to $25 to qualify for free shipping so not much thought went into it. I think I ordered it on Feb 14, and it arrived Feb 18.

He is a cute little guy, soft material and soft to squeeze. Looks good quality. There doesn't seem to be anything that would make him unsuitabe for a newborn to chew on. Unlike many toys he has no blue or pink colouring that makes him unsuitable for an unborn child gift. I can't say anything about durability as I have just put him aside for when my baby arrives.

I definitely recommend him as he is as cute and soft as you want a stuffed toy to be.
