Lord of the Rings Boxed Gift Set - There and Back Again - Set of 5 Figures
After reading these reviews I had mixed thoughts. I am 13 and I display my figures, but also play with them and put them in action setups. But for christmas I got a 30 dollar gift card and decided to spend it on this gift set after much thinking.I opened it to find 5 very nice, detailed, great likeness, and very fun figures!I already had a Frodo with lightup sting, but I did not have any of the other hobbits, which I really needed. Frodo is one of the best versions of Frodo I have seen. Great likeness, very good outfit, and very poseable. Sam is pretty much the same. Again a great outfit, amazing likeness, and poseable. Merry and Pippen are my favorite out of this set. They have very nice likeness and are the most fun to play with, I dont know why, but I just prefer them. Now onto Bilbo. Bilbo was one of my least favorite characters in the trilogy. I really loved him in the hobbit, but didn't care for him in these movies. But this is a very good figure. Like others have said, it's not the same bilbo in ROTK, He looks much younger and happier here. Poseable and good likeness. The journal is pretty useless, but good for display. The outer of it has a nice slick feel, with BB and an evenstar on the front. Inside it has the words from the movie and some maps. Very detailed. Overall very nice figures. I was hesitant, but love it now! Thanks for reading my review!

I purchased this set as a gift for my grandmother. She has been a fan since the mid-60s, and she has a shirt, with the phrase "Frodo Lives", that has been around before the term "Trekkie" ever applied to the fans of Star Trek. My grandmother is a diehard Tolkien fan and loves "The Lord Of The Rings" films by Peter Jackson. I have been looking at this set ever since it was released, a year ago. I finally purchased it and am waiting to give it to my Grandmamma for Christmas. This is an excellent set with an amazing likeness to all of the characters. Although I have not opened this set, I can make out the cover of the "There And Back Again & The Lord Of The Rings" booklet and have seen many pictures. This is my favorite featured piece of the set, for not only does it hold very much sentimental value for me, but it will also be very important to my Grandmamma. The figures are rather fantastic, save for Bilbo (played by verteran actor Ian Holm), which is a much younger version than the 128-year-old Bilbo that appears in the film. That being my only critisism, this is an excellent gift set and would make a terrific addition to any fan's collection. Keep up the good work, Toy Biz.
I hope this review has been helpful to anyone interested in this set.

It depends on what kind of toy-buyer you are to determine whether or not you would enjoy this set. If you are buying it for younger children, to play with, then this might not quite be the set you are looking for, especially since the five hobbits do not come with swords. (A MUST for combat play!)Bilbo is the key factor in this set. He is in his fine, distinguished hobbit clothes, and his aged hair and face, such as he had in Rivendell. It's exclusive, and the big plus in buying this set.
Frodo has a post-RotK hand. Those of you who have seen the movie, or read the books, you know what I mean, but for the rest, I cannot say more lest I spoil it for you. His clothes are fine Shire quality.
Sam is pretty much the same, as are Merry and Pippin. All are dressed as you would find them out for an evening in the Shire.
The set also comes with a diary, a There and Back Again vintage diary. It's not bad...kind of small.
If you like gift sets, or collector's sets, you'll probably like this. But like I said, if play is what you have in mind, you'll probably want to mix-and-match some single hobbit sets.

Christmas came and we set up the train and after connecting the transformer and cars, we started the train. The rear engine coupler disengaged from the cars after traveling less than one revolution of the oval.We tried many times and the failure persisted. We returned the set the Tuesday following Christmas and requested a replacement. When the replacement set arrived we carefully opened the set and removed the locomotive to tried again using the existing track oval and cars.Once again the rear coupler failed to hold the cars connected to the locomotive.
We returned both sets.

We bought just the dockside locomotive (available as Lionel 6-30124-e), not the whole Thunder Valley set. This is one cool little steam locomotive, and it works exceptionally well! The fact that it doesn't have a separate coal tender makes very nimble, and with front and rear operating couplers, it can pull or push in either direction. It's a great looking little steam engine that has lots of great details...brass bell, brass whistle, lighted cabin with engineer & fireman figures, operating smoke stack, operating horn, forward/neutral/reverse, front and rear directional lights, and metal hand rail. It's loaded for such an inexpensive engine. It's also solidly built with die cast metal body, and is powerful enough to pull the loads of a full size locomotive. This is a very capable, very neat little dockside steamer that has a great sounding horn, and is a lot of fun. It's a great way to get started or expand an existing setup with.Highly recommended!Want Lionel Thunder Valley Quarry Mine O-Gauge Electric Train Set Discount?
THIS IS A VERY EXCITING AND INNOVATIVE SET. LIONEL HADSOMENICE IDEASBEHINDSENDING THIS INTOPTRODUCTION. NICEWHISTLE ON LOCO..Save 27% Off
This is a very nice Lionel Ready to Run set.The main advantage is that it comes with the (more powerful) CW-80 transformer that is 80 watts and has 2 outputs: 1 for track, 1 for accessories (versus the PowerMax which is only ~30 watts and no dedicated accessory output).
The engine is pretty heavy for it's size and feels very study (I also have the PA Frieght Flyer set that has a bigger, but not as heavy engine). The cars are nice, the spotlight on the working caboose is a nice feature. It also features a headlight and cabin light on the engine, and lighted caboose cabin.
It also includes the standard 036 (36" oval) Fastrack track pieces (8 x curve, 8 x 10" straight with one being the terminal).
You do need to assemble the shovel on the excavator, which is the only additional step for set up.

Gund Baby Meme Monkey Small 14" Plush - Pink/Blue
I got the pink and the blue ones for my children for Christmas, and the pink one is quite a bit smaller than the blue one.A little disappointing, not to mention since they were for my children I got to hear the legendary "His monkey is bigger than mine" whine.I told her it was just the right size for cuddles and for carrying around. They should not mislead the buyer with the title of the product.
I bought this for a spare for my granddaughter. She loves it! It's very soft and cuddly. She takes it everywhere.

This desk chair has been the PERFECT transition from the highchair. My daughter is 19 months and I wasn't sure what to do about eating, because she was definitely outgrowing her highchair, but is not big enough to sit at our counter-height table. She LOVES sitting at the desk for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, as well as, doing her "homework". She likes to sit there and color, look at her books, and play with some of her other toys. Butterfly BBLA Table Tennis B Case (Black)
This case does a decent job in protecting your TT racket. The zipper is smooth and the cushioning is fairly ok to give adequate protection. However, if you are having a slightly over-sized racket or a thick handle, this case might be a bit too tight. It would have been great if this case had a strap. Overall good value for money and Amazon as ever shipped it super fast!
If you have an expensive racket, I recommend you get a hard case, like Killerspin Optima Racket Case Choose Color or Killerspin Table Tennis Racket Case.

Kids Only Thomas The Tank Activity Table Set
My grandson went crazy when he saw it.Sat at it right away and uses it all the time. Would suggest it to anyone to buy for their child or Grandchild
When I got the table out of the box she was ecstatic when she saw the big picture of Thomas on the table top. She really enjoys using the table and chair as they are perfectly scaled for her.
We'd been initially worried about her getting fingers caught in the workings of the chairs, but they each come with a safety bolt that you screw in and prevents the chairs from folding up. The legs of the table also lock in place. Doesn't mean I still won't keep and eye on her just in case, but it's nice to know she can't randomly shut the chair workings up on her hand.
I might recommend a little caution with the table top though as it's padded. My daughter has some dinosaurs with rather stiff points and from watching her play with them on the table I'm afraid they'll pierce the padded top and wreck it. I try not to let her play with things that are pokey on the table until I can find a mat or covering for the table to help protect it.

My 4 year old loves Thomas and equally loves this table.I got it for Christmas and it's holding up very well. The legs lock on both the table and chairs making it impossible for him to attempt to close them. That was one of my big concerns with getting a folding style table set but it's very safe and no worries about getting fingers caught. The chairs are padded as is the table top. Easy to clean and great for both small and bigger kids. My 4 yr old it's 48 inches tall & 57 lbs; his 3 year old cousin is 36 inches tall & 33lbs. They both fit very comfortably. A great buy especially if you catch a deal (I did) but well worth $40-$50.

Heavy Warjack Plastic 3 Variant Model Cygnar Warmachine Miniatures Combat Game
I was initially skeptical about plastic Warmachine models, but I believe that I'm on board now. So far, this is the only plastic kit that I've purchased. I like the modularity of these kits, since you can assemble one of three standard warjacks. At first glance, I was a little disappointed that the cost for a single warjack jumped up to a $35 MSRP from around $20-25. That aside, with a kit, you could actually make the model modular, using small magnets in the arm sockets. Additionally, Cygnar and Khador players could actually purchase Privateer Press' Grind boardgame to utilize their extra parts to build other standard warjacks from the spare parts; the Grind warjacks are on the same scale (at least, the Cygnar ones are; haven't tested the Khador ones). The new sculpts are nice. I also really like the look of the Cyclone warjack.Save 23% Off
Puzzle Board for sizes up to 35.5 inch x 26 inch
If you like doing 1000 pc puzzles like I do, this is a must.Even tho the description says for 1500 pieces, you'll want this one over the 1000 pc size.
Why?Because many puzzle manufacturers 1000 pc puzzles are bigger than the board allows.....only by 3/4", but thats enough, right?
Big Ben 1000 pc is about the only one that fits, and this one fits all puzzles.
Its easily carried from room to room if needed, and keeps the puzzles out of the way when company comes.
I would seriously suggest the "Jigsafe".Keep your pieces sorted and organized and easily moved about.Great products, great company to buy from.

Wizards Of The Coast Star Wars Miniatures Clone Wars Scenario Map Pack 2 Showdown At Teth Palace
I'm an avid gamer (D&D, Heroscape, and other board games) and I love the Star Wars Miniatures Game it's easy to set up, the rules are easy to learn, its quick to play (you can easily play 3+ games in an hour), and yet deep enough that you don't get bored. However, in the past, I've had a problem: we only had the board that came with the original Starter Set back in the mid-2000s (Revenge of the Sith). It got a little dull having our battles on the same board over and over and over. Then came this product: you get two pre-packed minis and their stat cards, and a big (24x36 in.) double-sided battle map. While it's a bit expensive, it's definitely worth it for those of us who need more battle maps and a couple extra minis (this set comes with Asajj Ventress and a Clone Trooper).
One drawback: the map itself is a big piece of folded glossy paper which 1) is tough to fold back into a square and 2) will be prone to rips, tears, spills, etc. I would recommend getting it laminated so it will be more durable.
About the minis, the clone is just another common clone trooper... But Assaj is totally recommended if you want to be part of the dark side of the force, has great skills and this is an useful way to get it, i particularly use it with Darth Tyranuss and i found out this is a great combination, totally recommendedthis is an amazing game to play, you can get addictive to this too, the two sided maps are nice and crisp, and the figures are well detailed, I highly recommend it, now lets hope disney continue make them.

We were so excited to get this table and it's been nothing but trouble from the get go.The xylophone was broken right out of the box, the cymball broke off almost immediately after installation, and one of the legs is now coming apart. We've had it here just a few hours. Our kiddo is so excited about this and it's such a cheaply made toy, especially for the price.Don't waste your money.
SJ 107 Ergonomic Height Adjustable Desk for Children
Assembly is not very complicated.Function really well! Height could be adjusted easily by little kids. They love to use it to do homework, and put all their stuffs like glue, sharpner, tape,ruler,books....into the storage pan, it is not very small space. The desk is very heavy, legs are made of metal maybe, but looks pretty. We are satisfied with it generally, the only thing I think should be improved is that I can't find any producer's info about this product, like brand name, manufactory's address, telephone,is it necessary?

I bought this desk for my 7-year-old daughter and she absolutely loves it!
I bought the desk, the book-shelf (which clamps on to the back of the desk), and the chair. The materials are very solid (and somewhat heavy). It didn't take long to assemble it but make sure you don't mix up the screw sets (which I did initially and had to disassemble).
The desk really is well-designed and looks great. The whole set wasn't cheap (for me) but it's definitely worth the investment.

Replogle Globes Forester Globe, Antique Ocean, 9-Inch Diameter
Globe size is accurate. Detailing on the globe looks good from far but don't get too close because it looks really cheap. I also thought that the frame would be made of metal but it is plastic. Similarly the base is made of lightweight wood so the globe can tip over when being handled by children and requires two hands to turn it (one to hold the base and one to spin the globe.)
Nice coloring, mimics topography, a legend for population centers, soft felt on the base to prevent scratches, and made very well for that price (aside from the taped line along the hemisphere, which is clearly visible in the photo).
4 stars from me.

Go buy your kids one now!
The quality is great, sturdy construction, hard durible surface, strong mounting hardware.
One interesting side note it was delivered free via semi-truck. It was the only item on the semi from a warehouse 25 miles away. I don't understand how that could possibly been profitable. This item was a great choice for us!! We needed a chalk board for our sons homeschool classroom. We are looking forward to ordering a second board like it to extend across the wall.I would recommend this board also.It has a quality finish and a very nice wood frame!!
This blackboard came very quickly and when opened it was in tac. The board was given to my grandchildren and recommened by my daughter-in-law. The kids loved it when they opened it up. It was bigger then I thought it would be but it enabled more then one child to be at the board at one time. They loved playing on it. The only suggestion I would have is to buy chalk before giving the present. The black board came with erasers but no chalk???? I think they would have been disapointed when they opened it if I had not thought to buy the chalk ahead of time for them. Seems like a very nice product.
