Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song
Most of my daughters toys are played with a few times and then forgotten, minus stuffed animals :DShe mostly just 'reads' books and colors during the day when we aren't outside. When I saw the Color Me A Song, I just knew it would be perfect for her, because she LOVES coloring and music. I'm not sure about the other reviewer getting markers in hers, but the Color Me A Song is supposed to come with several triangular shaped crayons, which are great because they don't roll of the table :D They are easy for her and my 3 year old to hold. I also love the tray that you can keep the crayons in when not in use, so when we take it with us, I don't have to bring the crayon box too. To my surprise, my 3 year old, very active son also loves this toy. It has held up well, esp. since they both use it at the same time and will snatch it from each other, hehe. I couldn't have made a better investment, imo.

kept both twins busy and happy for several days but put aside for now as they need supervision with crayons right now and no time. I bought this toy for my 3 year old for Christmas.She really likes to color on it and likes the music that it plays.The drawer is easy for her to open and the toy is easy to operate.It also cleans up nicely when she doesn't put paper on it and just draws on the toy!I think she may be a little old for it though I think it would be a great toy for a 2 year old who is just starting to get the idea of coloring and drawing.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews about this product. They almost dissuaded me from buying this for my daughter. My husband had picked it out after seeing a commercial and since I usually do the shopping for the kids I bought it rather than shoot down his choice. I'm glad I purchased it. My daughter has gotten so much enjoyment out of this product. It was really the way she learned to color. The technology on it is really neat. The paper sometimes can slide out a little but it's really not a big deal. When you're coloring normally you don't have anything to hold the paper down so the fact that there's anything to hold it in place is an improvement. You can select which instruments you want to play or have all of them. There are several different styles of songs like jazz. It's educational and fun. I would recommend this product.Save 11% Off

The case comes with a timer holder partition that is the perfect size for a chess timer, like the Saitek digital.I love that.I wish that the pocket which holds the pieces was split into two for white/black pieces.At first glance, it doesn't seem to be all that sturdy, but upon further review, everything contained will probably last forever except for the zippers on the case.I've got one that is broken now, and one was broken on arrival.I just use a paper clip to get by.Oh, and the mousepad sucked bigtime, it was in the garbage within a day.If you plan on using this as a traveling chess set, think again. The teeth seperate and the zipper was broken from the 2nd time being used.The vinyl roll up board was stained by the ink transfer process used. The pieces are big with an ok weight. Finding a case is going to be tough because of it's size. It is not a compact case but portable if it were properly made.
I wanted a good quality chess set to teach my kids, so I wanted it to have full size pieces, a numbered/lettered board, and be durable enough to handle the stress put on it by little kids.The carrying case is straightforward--the zipper seems strong enough, and it can hold all of the pieces, the board, and it appears there is space for a clock (although the clock is not included).The pieces are full-size durable Staunton style pieces.They are not heavy, but they are durable enough for my purposes.The one thing that was a real disappointment was the vinyl board.When it arrived, the board had gotten creased while rolled, so it just would not lie flat.I tried everything--rolling it backwards, ironing it, weighting it... nothing got it entirely flat.Little ripples in the vinyl made it impossible for pieces to stand up straight without toppling.I wrote to ChessCentral and they were kind enough to send me a new board immediately (so A+ for customer service).As a result, I find that I can recommend doing business with ChessCentral, but not recommend buying this set.You should get what they call "the mousepad board" which is very durable, rolls easily, and lies flat.
The board and the bag itself are great, but my main problem came with the actual pieces themselves. They are not heavy at all. I play chess in my college's club and we hold all our club meetings outside in the main quad. I'm considering purchasing a heavy set of pieces soon, but in the meantime, I'll have to keep filling the pieces with glue to make them heavier, though the difference isn't that great.

megcos Musical Caterpillar
We got this as a gift when my son was 5 months old. He loves playing with it. There are many ways to play with it, so it keeps my son from being bored. (Musical notes, different sounds and lights, play with wires on top). It is definitely better than other toys we have. Very interactive & educational! Highly recommend. Only thing, gotta be careful to prevent the baby from hitting himself with the toy, since it's fairly heavy. It's good for any baby starting from 5 months to over 1.5 years, because you can learn numbers and colors.
I would recommend this toy for any toddler that is fine walking by himself or herself and that likes music and making things make sounds!

I have contacted the CSPC after our son broke one of the toy "wires" another reviewer mentioned.He had only played with it a handful of times over the 1-2months we had this toy and we did not even notice that he broke the wire until we found one of the small beads on the ground.I am so grateful that he did not swallow/choke on this bead, but clearly this is a hazardous toy that can put children at risk.I hope the government will have this toy recalled or at least better warnings placed on it, as there was no indication when we purchased it that it could be dangerous for a 1 year old.Please do NOT buy this toy for a young child.

Starting around age 2 the "World of Thomas" and his train friends became the biggest part of my son's days of play. If you are as deep into Thomas as my family is then the Sodor Bay Bridge is a must have. Hours and hours are spend pushing the toy trains over and under the bridge. Your first three starter purchases should be the trains, the tracks and then this bridge.Good Luck it is an expensive "world" your getting into!!!
We have tons of Thomas wooden railway pieces.I can tell you that this is the one we use in every layout we build.It adds height ands is easy to fit into your layout.Sturdy and colorful too.I like to use it with the arched viaduct for a sturdy raised track that doesnt fall over.

This bridge is worth every penny.I bought this bridge online (not from amazon.com) and the description said that it didn't come with ascending tracks, so I bought ascending tracks separately.Well, it turns out that the bridge actually *did* come with a pair of ascending tracks!Also, I bought a male-to-male connector separately because I thought that the 2 bridge pieces could not connect directly to one another, to form one long bridge once I got the bridge, though, I found that you *can* actually connect the 2 bridge pieces together without using a separate connector..all you have to do is remove one of the supporting blocks (underneath the track) from one of the bridge ends.Each bridge has removable supporting blocks on both ends, so there's a ton of configurations you can come up with.If you have ascending track risers (which do *not* come with the bridge), you can connect the bridges with regular straight track

A short video review.Definitely read the description and other reviews carefully before buying.Lipper fully discloses the size of the table as well as the seat height to the table height.Some reviewers said their 2-3 year olds like the table, but I see this as more of a child's set than a toddler set.We had to go through two sets as the first set came incomplete and badly packaged, along with damage to the corner of the tabletop.It almost looked like someone returned it, and it was reshipped either by Amazon or Lipper.In this video, you'll see some issues we had with what we thought was pretty poor quality (drilling a hole, then redrilling and covering up the initial mistake), a slight wobble (annoying to the anal like my husband!) and differences in chairs in case you are considering buying additional chairs.I hope this helps!Overall, the product I'd rate 3 stars, but quality control seems poor enough to rate it two stars not fun for your frustration level if you get a bad set and BOTH our sets had issues.
I'm impressed with how strong and sturdy it is. I frequently sit at the table with my son while we work on projects and feel perfectly comfortable putting my full weight (I'm not a small person) onto the chair. As a matter of fact, we routinely use the chair as a "step-stool" to get things off of his high shelves. The chairs set firmly on the floor -I can't remember anyone ever falling over in one. It gets used on a regular basis and I haven't noticed any scratches or scuffs. (We have the Pecan finish.) It is also quite attractive with a classic simple design. My son especially likes the little shelf area under the table-top where he stores his markers and drawing paper. I like that it blends nicely with our other Craftsman style furniture and does not look cheap. I put the table together by myself with no problems and two years later have never had to tighten any of the bolts.
I would agree with some of the reviewers that this table is more to scale for a primary-school age child and not so much for a toddler. But personally I like the size. Although his feet didn't touch the floor while sitting in the chair when he was three, my son was still able to get on and off the chairs by himself and we won't need to replace it later because it is too small. In my opinion, it is the perfect "in between" size to grow with my son.
One suggestion I do have is to purchase some of those felt pads for the bottom of the chair and table legs. We have hardwood floors and the chairs get skidded around quite a bit and scratched the floor before I was able to put pads on them.

Awesome set. Very good quality. Better than Pottery Barn Kids set and less expensive. It looks better than the picture.This is a great table and chairs set.It is solid wood, sturdy, and nice looking.It is also a good height for my 6 year old and will last probably until she is ten or so.It is tall enough that I am comfortable sitting at it with her to play games.Putting it together was fairly easy as long as you have muscles, because you have to screw the bolts in really tight and it is tough!My husband did it.The chairs are really easy to put together.I would have given it 5 stars but for three things:
1.The screws stand out because they are metal and are not hidden at all.
2.The cubbies are a strange size they don't really fit standard paper, we'll use the cubbies for bins of crayons, markers, etc.
3.Mine came with a small scratch on the tabletop not bad enough to send back, but annoying.
We were not planning on ordering the extra chairs, but we've changed our minds they will actually fit side by side on the long side. You could have 6 chairs fit around this table if you needed it.This will also be nice to use during dinners with family and friends for the kids table.The cherry finish is really pretty you won't regret buying it.

Assembling the table requires attaching 4 legs with 2 screws each.Unfortunately, the screw holes are not properly drilled, so the screws get stuck about halfway through.
When I complained, Lipper kindly sent me another table, which had the same issue.
Perhaps the problem can be solved with a drill, which I don't own, but that's more assembly than I expect from premade furniture.
The shelf on the first table was slightly off kilter as well, an issue I probably would live with if I could assemble the table.

Extendable Fork
The fork is a fun party trick and is durable enough for some good laughs.However, don't expect quality flatware here.The metal is pretty thin, and as another reviewer said, you have to fork at an angle to prevent it from collapsing.Also, the extendability makes washing just a little more challenging.
Kind of hard to steal food without it collapsing if done at an improper angle. If you figure that out it works fine. Also makes a wonderful back-scratcher and pointer.When we opened it up and extended it, it broke! This was a great gift idea so we were both dissapointed.

i thought it would make a cute gift, and it did, but the metal isn't the strongest. it's a good stocking stuffer, but i'd warn the gift recipient to not sword fight with it.

We bought this Grover puppet to play with our 5 month old son. He really enjoys the puppet. When you first buy it, the mouth is slightly difficult to move, but after 30 min of play it moves easily. Also the puppet is very soft and has bendable arms.Although large enough for an adult to use, the puppet will still be good for a child size hand.
My only complaint is that the body of the puppet is a little wide (probably to allow for large arms).

The Grover puppet is super soft and cuddly, and good quality. It looks exactly like the real Grover. My 10-month old son giggles when he sees it. Only issue is the 'puppet' mouth is hard to open and close. It's really stiff and my hand gets sore after only a minute or two.

Bought this for my 6 year olds last christmas, I honestly think they have played with it 5 times within almost 1 year. It's a nice, classic idea for a kids toy, and for nostalgia purposes thats why I picked it up. But with all the cool toys kids have nowadays, it must be boring.The toy is cheap quality I think I paid about $14 for it, which is all it is worth. Cheap gadgets with cheap plastic. Has lights and sounds which excited the kids, but like I said, it's cheap. The top clear plastic piece has cracked in several places, and it's not that durable for young ones.
Overall fun toy, but I wouldn't spend more than $15 on it.

University Games Big Brain Academy Game
We have a large family with children of game playing age between 9 and 14, but this game was enjoyable for everyone, including the parents.It's both educational and challenging, while providing enough categories that everyone will have some strong categories and some weak ones.You can do everything from simple math problems, to memory games, to building shapes with tangrams.There is enough variety that even playing the game every night for a week nobody gets bored!We even played one night with the grandparents and they were challenged, too.
We've played the game with six to eight people on two teams and everyone gets plenty of opportunity to play.
I really love that this game has been a confidence builder in our youngest two girls (9 and 10).They would start a category with a lot of "I can't do this" or "I'm not good at this" but each question they got correct bolstered their confidence in their abilities and made them more likely to try without the "can't" the next time.
Overall this is a very inexpensive way to spend enjoyable family time together.Amazingly, we made it through the game every single time without the kids fighting or arguing and they actually cheered each other on and supported their sibling teammates!That alone makes it worth every penny!

This toy is fun for the kids, but they need some grown-up help making the transformation from truck to ring.A couple of pieces from the truck need to come off and get re-positioned on top of the truck, which is kind of a pain.Other than that it seems to work as it was designed.Another nice feature is that when it is time to pick up and turn back to a truck all of the little pieces are held inside the trucks trailer.

The Air hockey table does not come with everything needed as advertised.In addition, you will be charged 15% when you return it because it wasn't as advertised.The key factor that is not advertised is that the unit takes eight batteries which will have a short life.The table itself is JUNK.It looked like it had been used before, chipped up corners etc.I think the 15% charge is B.S. considering the misleading advertising and the fact that I have to pay to ship it back.Their hope is that you'll keep their junk in light of these fees.

My son received this for his 5th birthday and loves it. He plays daily with his father. Perfect for those that don't want a lot of floor space taken up with a full size game table. I can not comment on the durability yet, but it seems like something that should hold up for a while. The motor is near silent and the batteries have lasted about a week so far with daily use and have not needed to be recharged. It comes with two pucks. I consider this to be some what of a portable game as it will easily travel to grandmas, camping, and etc.

Bought this for my daughter. Part of the brown "wood" (actually contact paper) already coming off. I go to put batteries in it. 8 AA batteries. The screw is stripped in the battery compartment. I had to pry the darn thing open. I finally get the batteries in and turn it on. The fan sounds like it is dying. It isn't seated correctly.
