We have tons of Thomas wooden railway pieces.I can tell you that this is the one we use in every layout we build. It adds height ands is easy to fit into your layout.Sturdy and colorful too.I like to use it with the arched viaduct for a sturdy raised track that doesnt fall over.

This bridge is worth every penny.I bought this bridge online (not from amazon.com) and the description said that it didn't come with ascending tracks, so I bought ascending tracks separately.Well, it turns out that the bridge actually *did* come with a pair of ascending tracks! Also, I bought a male-to-male connector separately because I thought that the 2 bridge pieces could not connect directly to one another, to form one long bridge once I got the bridge, though, I found that you *can* actually connect the 2 bridge pieces together without using a separate connector..all you have to do is remove one of the supporting blocks (underneath the track) from one of the bridge ends. Each bridge has removable supporting blocks on both ends, so there's a ton of configurations you can come up with.If you have ascending track risers (which do *not* come with the bridge), you can connect the bridges with regular straight track
