The faces are pretty cute, not weird-looking like some miniature dolls. Three stars because Laverna's head snapped off the first day, but with gentler play they will be fine. The size is so cute and fits well in my 3-yr olds hands and she now realizes that to keep Elina's head on she will need to be a little more gentle. **Toys-R-Us has these for $9.99. These are products currently F(2/2007 pre-Rainbow movie release) available at a wide variety of brick and mortars; there is no need to pay $20 or more.

The first set we got lasted 1 day before a leg fell off Elina.The the Enchantress's head snapped off without anyforce from my daughters.The second set, Elinas head snapped off after 10 days and Sunburst head snapped after 12 days.My girls are not very tough on toys.These are cute and they have enjoyed them, but I will not be purchasing a third set. Kidkraft Heart Table and Chair Set

I bought this for my 18 month old daughter. She is able to get in and out of the chairs all by herself and loves sitting at the table and coloring. The chairs are very sturdy enough for an adult to sit on and the table cleans really easily. A Mr. Clean magic eraser wipes crayons off the table top without much effort. This was well worth the money and I think we will have it for years to come.

My wife and I ordered this table and chairs after searching far and wide for something durable, cute, and the right height for our 2-year-old daughter. So far, we are happy with the selection. The set was fairly straightforward to assemble, all the parts were enclosed, and the tools required weren't exotic (just a screwdriver and the included wrench).

My only quibble is the size of the plastic bins. They are big enough to accomdate coloring books, crayons, flash cards, and SMALL toys like a ViewMaster. But we couldn't put her puzzles in the bins because their weight made the bins tip over. So, if you are intending to store large, heavy items under this table, you'll be disappointed. But if you're storing just arts/crafts-type stuff, you'll be okay.

There is ample space to do projects....for my 6 year old daughter and myself. I can sit easily on one of the chairs...at an average size of 5'6" 160 lbs.(and no, I don't mind listing that info!)

We purchased this for our 2 year old granddaughter.She loves it.It took my son and husband about 30-45 minutes to put together.They needed an additional allen wrench so they could work together. There are lots of screws, but well worth the effort.It is very sturdy, and my granddaughter likes to stand up on the chairs, so I was glad it was well constructed.It will last for many years, it has a washable surface, and she uses it for her play-doh and stamping and coloring.I can see her being able to do some homework on it as she get older.However, it is the perfect height for her at this age also.

Sesame Street Table & Chairs

We bought this set for our 21 month old daughter this Christmas, and it is her favorite gift.

Pros:

* easy to assemble

* heavy enough to prevent tipping while toddler moves around in the seat

* light enough for her to move chairs in and out by herself

* lower seat back reinforced where it meets the chair seat

* great sizeshe can have a snack and still have a puzzle or two or her Little People Farm on

the table top at the same time

* adorable design features a variety of Sesame St. characters and the alphabet

* easy to wipe clean

Cons:

* noticed a scratch on the surface within a day or two of use; you can feel it more than see it

but nevertheless, thought it would be longer before that occurred

Recommendations:

* chairs slide on hard wood floors as she gets in and out of seat, so I bought no-slip mats for

under the chair or rubber grips for under the chair legs

Overall, this is excellent for a toddler, and as the child grows to pre-school/kindergarten age, it could be easily repainted if he/she outgrows the Sesame theme.

We love this table and chairs set.Very sturdy.Really easy to assemble. Our son loves sitting at it and will work on projects for a long time if he's seated at the table.My only complaint would be that the chairs are slick and he would easily slide off them.I got some non-slip adhesive strips (like $4 on Amazon), applied them to the seats of the chairs and it's perfect.I would not let the slick seats stop me from buying this set.The advantages far outweigh the one very easy to fix disadvantage.

I purchased this set hoping the construction would hold up against the daredevils I have for grands.

Putting it together is rather simple, although I did have some problems tightening two of the screws in the back of the chairs. The holes were slightly off center, so I had to get a friend of mine to assist. I don't have the strength in my hands anymore to battle tools.

My little maniacs have done everything but throw the chairs out a window and the chairs have withstood the onslaught!Do note that you must screw the legs on tightly. A strong kid will unscrew them, especially if they watch you put it together!

The table has been tipped over and used as a car and even jumped up and down on. If you have very active children this is the set for you.

I never thought of these items as possibly educational, but in fact sitting together with toys at the table insures sharing and courtesy will be learned. The table top is not so wide that the kids won't have contact or their toys may not touch each other during play.

Safari Table and Animal Chairs by Anatex

This set is very cute but you should know it is WAY smaller than expected. (I will try to add a picture so you can see.) It is so small that I think it makes more of a decoration that a usable table set for children. Also mine came damaged but I couldn't return it because I didn't realize it until I assembled one chair and the screws stripped really easily so I couldn't disassemble it (Incidentally it didn't fully screw in either because it stripped before it was in). Also assembly is difficult because it requires allen wrench instead of screwdrivers. If I had to do it again I wouldn't buy this.

Our two oldest girls (3.5 y/o and 2 y/o) loves this table/chair set!The chairs are fun to sit on and carry around the house to use for numerous purposes.This table is very cute and so far seems quite sturdy!

Disney Fairies Art Table with Paper Roll, Wipe Board and Storage

Got this for our 5 yr old who was begging for a purple desk, I thought it was pink and purple, but to my surprise it is mostly just all a pretty lavendar color purple! She will love it.I started to put it together, but changed my mind since Christmas is a few weeks away, I had no where to hide it.Seems sturdy, made from what appears to be MDF, 4 storage bins are a nice size, 2 small ones for pencils are tiny and will most likely get lost over time.I would advise buying extra rolls of paper before giving this gift, the roll that comes with is tiny/thin!

Looks to be of good quality, all pieces were neatly packed in a thin box; instructions are really easy, all you need is a screwdriver to assemble. All parts were there, nothing missing or damaged.Very happy with it and anxious to give it to our daughter this Christmas. She will prob outgrow it in a year or so, but we have another little girl who will be excited to take it over as her own one day when big sis is done.

**UPDATE**Just gave this as an early christmas gift this afternoon, as I suspected, daughter loved it!She was so excited to have the wipe board, I bought brand new washable Expo dry erase markers, and she drew all over the top...when she went to wipe it off, the blue marker will not come off all the way, only fade, I tried everything and it wouldn't come off and finally this morning, I found some alcohol and a cotton ball, scrubbed really hard and it finally came off.So I guess before you let your child use this w/dry erase markers, test an area first or only use light colors.

It took me about an hour to put together (but mostly it took that long b/c I forgot to add a piece in the first step and when finished, I had to go back and unscrew everything to add part Q in the directions); very attractive and perfect size for our little girl.She loves the paper roll; its a great touch for a little artist; and the 2 small baskets at the top of the desk do attach to the paper roll so they won't get lost.

We got this for my 3-year old's birthday and she absolutely loves it. The pieces are all very thick and printed with beautiful, vibrantly colored and shiny pictures. After putting it together it feels super sturdy. I was having a hard time getting her to go to bed that night so she sat down with me and I took out all the parts and she got really excited to get it all put together. But I told her I couldn't do it myself and that if she was a really good girl and went to bed, Tinkerbell would come and put it together for her. After that she ran to her bed and I didn't hear from her again until the next day. I, of course, got up a little before her and put it together and it made her birthday a little more magical in her eyes.

When it comes to putting the desk together, here's my notes. First off, if you are like me and miss putting the little wooden pieces in before attaching a side to the back, don't fret over going back and putting them in. I put them on for the second side and realized they're mostly there to help you with alignment and holding the slanted desk in place while you put in the screws. If you did it without them, you just did it the hard way. Also, I was doing this solo so the wooden dowels were a bit of a challenge to hold in place, while exerting the necessary force to get the screws in while also not letting the whole thing get pushed away from me. I gave up and put it on its side and loosely attached the other side to the top. After that I got all the dowels in place and tightened the top (start with the ones near the top of the desk and work down). then it was a relatively simple matter of screwing the dowels in place. SO much easier when I could push against the floor and just had to worry about keeping it from twisting.

My only normal complaint is the paper. There's not a lot and was is there is super low quality. We ended up getting an extra roll of Melissa and Doug easel paper and it's great. This roll is wider than the last but not too wide. We reattached the little crayon baskets to the sides with stick on velcro and it works really well.

Our only other issue isn't a normal one. The holes in the sides where the rod that holds the roll of paper goes through weren't both drilled properly. When you look through one of them you can easily see where the drill went off course and they never caught it. As a result the hole was too small. We fixed this with a drill bit, but if you don't have that you may have to send it back. All I can say is check this first before you put it together just in case you do need to exchange it.

All in all, I highly recommend this desk. The price is better than most other art desks like it, great themes, and the storage is really nice.

This desk is great for my 2 1/2 year old girl. She loves Tinkerbell, so this desk is perfect. Its pretty easy to put together, and it seems pretty sturdy for its purposes.

My only comment would be you need to understand that this is not a full sized desk. Its a small desk, about 2-3 feet high, intended for a small child.

Little Tikes Fold Away Climber

1st time reviewer.Wanted to let other moms (and dads) know that:

1) easy to put together just follow directions (20-30 max time needed)

2) no big deal: there are no rails between ladder and slide. i positioned that side against one wall in my house and it serves as my additional wall.

3) slide is great! to me the picture of the slide looks like there is a stopper or lip at the end of the slide to stop a baby from flying off the end.There is no abrupt stop or lip.Smooth, safe and FUN ride all the way down.

4) My son (16mths) is so worn out he PASSED out tonight from playing so much today.All I can say is THANK YOU Little Tikes :-)

5) I live in a townhome so no yard and no storage inside. This toy is big enough to provide hours of entertainment.Versitile you can store it away in an instant. I bought this for inside play but this could easily go outside as well.

We got this for our 20 month old son for Christmas hoping it would provide some energy draining fun during the winter months, and we are so glad we did! He plays on it every day for a fairly good amount of time. He plays basketball, then climbs up and goes down the slide, the sends trucks and balls down the slide too. We were worried about the size of it and him outgrowing it too soon, since he's the size of the average 3 yr old, but it's perfect for him. I don't know about how easy it is to fold up since we've never had to do it, but it doesn't look that complicated. Since there is no railing on the back of the platform, we put a floor pillow on our wood floors behind it just in case he fell off, which he has, and he was fine. Overall, we are extremely happy we purchased this, and have recommended it to quite a few friends of ours.

Trademark Poker Gemaco Sextant 100% Plastic Playing Cards - 2 Decks (Multi)

I tried to like these cards, but the feels is different from the Gemaco Star cards.I didn't like the feel of these cards and then noticed that they were not even Made in USA!I know many companies have moved their plants to China to save money, but come on!One of the main reasons why I love KEM and Gemaco cards are their quality workmanship and the fact that they are Made in USA.I had to send these back and order some more KEMs and will probably get some Gemaco Stars, since they are Made in USA!

These are good solid cards that have so far stood up to the rigor of two poker nights, with players that can be pretty rough on the cards. Before this I've used mostly paper cards that barely lasted through a night and these cards basically look brand new with no bowing, bending or chipping after two uses. The white background is very bright and the ink can be a bit thick splotchy in spots, but generally the aesthetics look really nice, if a little blinding. The eyes on the face cards are a bit spooky as they're big black and round and seem to follow you around the room. The plastic case they come in is incredibly sturdy. It can kind of slip a bit, but nothing a rubber band can't fix. All in all, pretty decent cards and if you've been just using paper cards you owe it to yourself to get a deck of plastic cards and these are by no means a bad option.

I was looking for an inexpensive, functional, good looking storage unit for my daughter's room and found this on amazon.I was hesitant to purchase without viewing it in person but this unit good very good ratings and the price can't be beat.I compared to pottery barn pricing and other similar units on amazon.I'm so glad I bought this unit.It looks perfect in my daughter's room and all her toys are organized in the bins below. The only issue we had was one of the legs broke off (screws were stripped out of the bottom of the case) when we were putting it together, but I suppose that's to be expected from particle board. Thankfully, we were able to use longer screws to fix the leg. The overall quality is good and it is a beauty.

I am a mother of one son and a stepmother of 2 sons.I was given 2 boxes of this glow sand and waited until my stepsons were with us to use it.We waited until after dinner, everyone was cleaned up and it was dark out.Once we started mixing the sand, it was obvious how much fun this was going to be.The sand instantly started glowing brightly even with the lights on.Once all 4 colors were mixed, the boys started filling their little plastic sculpture makers.They were having so much fun and my husband and I were helping our youngest son fill his and we were having a blast too.Then the real fun started....Once the plastic things were filled, we had sand left over and there was some that didn't make it into the plastic parts and ended up on the table and floor (this is normal with any art project and children).We started doing our own thing with the sand, we dumped the remaining sand on the table, drew things with our fingers, then we started drawing on each other.The floor looked like an incredible star filled sky, the boys had it all over their hands and socks, they were running around and all you could see was this glowing sand (which is brighter than you would ever think it would be).We had so much fun!!!The dog even ended up with glowing feet and hand prints all over her.We were chasing each other around putting our glowing handprints on each other and laughing hysterically!Let me tell you honestly that my husband hates messes like that and he was having just as good as a time as the boys were.It was by far the most fun we have all had with an art type kit in a long time!!!!Now, back to the mess...it was messy (but in defense, we didn't use it for the intended purpose for very long).Once you turn the lights on, you can't see ANY of the sand, so you have to clean up with the lights off to make sure you get it all.Also, the entire downstairs of our house is laminate, so the clean up was quick and easy.He took the boys upstairs to bathe them and I cleaned the sand downstairs.I was done first.He had no issues getting the sand off the boys and one washing took everything off their clothes.This is an awesome product!!!Thank you Crayola!!!I would only like it better if the glow lasted longer than a few hours or if it was rechargable with light like other glowing things.

Crayola Glow Explosion Sand Art Sculptures This product resulted in tons of giggly, exciting fun for our six-year old granddaughter!She and her aunt had a ball doing the sculpture and revealing the results to other family members!

Cons:One of the "mix and pour trays" did not seal properly, which led to some awkward maneuvers in completing a sand sculpture.It was not easily understood that the wonderful glow that was so much fun, was only going to last until bedtime. The glow colors are definitely not as pretty when the glow goes away.Our product was actually the deluxe sand art, which came with seven colors and only four mix and pour trays.Three more of these trays would have made a lot more sense.

Pros:Wonderful, magical fun doing this project in a dim room.As for any mess on the floor, our child rolled in it and called it "fairy dust!"Absolute fun for her!Cleaning up was easy since they worked over trays for most of the project.Any leftovers on the floor were easily seen and swept up in the dark.Even tho the glow was gone, our granddaughter was anxious to do another project on her next visit.It's still art to her!

I would recommend this product for a family get-together; lots of fun to share!!Make sure you explain to the child that the glow is just like their Halloween glow sticks; the magic only lasts for a few hours.At least with the sand art, you still have a pretty piece of art!The fun is worth the money!Hope this helps!

We took the glow sand out on the beach, clearly it is not meant for the indoors, and had an absolute blast! My girls, 9 and 10 and their friend 9 sprinkled each other until they all three glowed. Then the two mommies got in on the fun! We made glow angels, played tagged and just in general enjoyed each others company because we were glowing on the beach in the dark WITH the sand. Something fun AND different. Not EVERYTHING needs to be educational, sometimes it can just be different and fun!

After reading some of the other reviews, I feel like it needs to be said that common sense needs to prevail. GO OUTSIDE!! ENJOY things like this item OUTSIDE. Not on your nice wood tables.

I would highly recommend this product for families and friends.

I don't usually write reviews, but this product has such mixed reviews I thought my experience might be helpful.My kids ages 4.5 and 6.5 had an absolute blast the night we did the glow sand.First of all, I would never do a project like this inside the house so clean up was not an issue.We went outside and mixed each sand color with the glowing agent in the sand trays.Right away they started to glow and we could tell this was going to be fun.Forget the plastic sculpture forms.We had so much more fun without them!We went out on the driveway with all the house lights off and made pictures and artwork.The boys sprinkled a trail and wrote their names.It was an absolute blast!The glowing sand was magically beautiful.It got on everyone's hands and clothes so that the kids were glowing too.They thought that was hilarious!I could imagine doing this on a warm summer night with a bunch of kids for a slumber party or block party and having a fantastic time.Afterwards the kids stripped down and the clothes went in the washer and the boys in the bath.That was it for cleanup and there were no adverse affects from having the sand on their skin.I'm going to get a set each for the kids and their cousins for the 4th of July now.And maybe myself too!

The sand sculptures worked pretty bad. The sand was not smooth enough to be poured in correctly, And the plastic edges did not completely prevent the sand from leaking out. I did manage to make a sculpture, but the colors were all mixed, unlike the advertisements. It looked messy overall. If you are not fond of any kind of messes, this product wouldn't be it's most best for you... The mess could get even several feet away from where you are working. I was working in a small area of my living room flooring, And it ended up all over it. Since I was running around with some, it dropped across the hallway and smeared on a door. But since when is an art project not messy?

And to end on a nice note, Pros:

My brother(18), Mother(37), And myself(14) found the glow powder to be very fun and exciting. It makes a mess, But after you turn off the lights, It is surprisingly beautiful... like another reviewer said; 'The floor looked like an incredible star filled sky'. It can be easily swept away, when the lights are off and the sand is visible. The mess of the hallway and door were easily removed too. For me, the majority of the glow stayed on for sometime longer than 4 hours. We bought this product as a discounted Target item, As it had been ripped in a medium area of the box. We got it for about 2 dollars, It still worked perfectly. I am even willing to buy it once again at 9 dollars. My brother and I had a great time as well; We were running around trying to smear glow powder on each other's clothes and faces. We both did not get any signs of chemical rashes. I cannot say if it stains or not, Because after the glow wears off, the powder is not visible at all. So, I guess it would not be any harm if it does stain. It's obviously not right to eat, But my two dogs licked some bits off the floor. Both did not get sick. The four colors of the glow were nice and bright; Distinguishable between each other. Good quality of glow for casual use.

I am planning to use glow for Halloween purposes this year, So I am thinking of just ordering glow powder from independent brands..

Tabletop Air Hockey Game

Well I got this product the other day and noticed that it was to heavy so i replaced the 1.5 AAA batteries with1.5 watch batteries and it works pretty well. Though if the plastic rim gets on little ding in it all the air escapes and its no good.

I love air hockey.Got this excited to set it up on a ping pong table.Worked great for 2 minutes!Very happy.Then it fell off the table and hit the floor.Still ok.But leery.Fell off again and hit the floor.That's it.Killed it.So IF you get it 1. Use only where if it falls off it is cushioned by nice ,thick carpet.2. Figure out a way to tape sides to a table so it doesn't fly off the side.

Dynamo/Tornado Sport Foosball Table

Great product. This is a pub-quality foosball table that is affordable for a household. The seller was great. All parts were present and assembly wasn't too bad. The hardest part is getting the rods thru the players on the poles.

I used to play foosball back in the 70's on Tornado tables. I am now 52 and thought what a way to enjoy activities with the family now that the kids are older. This table is exactly like the ones I used to play on. the vendor gave me a heads up on the ETA, and had me check out everything before I excepted from the currier. Everything was perfect and installation was a breeze. Advise, when putting the men on the bars they give you a block to help old the man in place while hammering a pin through the man and bar. Get another 2X4 block and put the legs on that block, then take the block they give you and force under the head. This will assure the hole in the man and the bar stay aligned while you hammer the pin. Fantastic table and for the price an unbelievable deal.
