Fisher-Price TRIO Hot Wheels Stunt Ramp Builder

Fisher-Price TRIO Hot Wheels Stunt Ramp Builder ()After receiving this toy, the Fisher-Price TRIO Hot Wheels Stunt Ramp Builder, I once again assembled my crack team of testers ... a six year old boy, a four year old girl, and a nearly three year old boy.But before getting into the actual testing, let me describe what you get:

The set includes over 90 pieces including a car, a "driver", a sawhorse, three barrels, and a booklet that gives you step-by-step diagrams on how to build four different ramps. The kit is made of a sturdy plastic, albeit some of the pieces, like the ramps, are intentionally a little flexible. The building pieces vary from sectioned plastic rectanglar bricks (similar to legos), some straight and curved-lengthed connectors, and some miscellaneous pieces like flags and a roof. The pieces snap together firmly, and it takes a little force to get them together or take them apart.

The testers were all excited to see the toy, especially my six-year old.He was able to look at the booklet, and after I explained how to use the diagrams, do very well on constructing a ramp.I still had to help him a little, particularly with the curvy lengths used to connect other pieces ... the connecting ends of the curves bend sharply on one side of the length and not so sharply on the other (as a spacing mechanism), but it was hard for my son to be able to tell which end to use where. He had enough strength to get all the parts to snap together relatively easily. My near-three year old could get some, but not all, of the pieces together, but he isn't anywhere ready to be able to build a ramp by himself, of course. My girl was interested in watching the construction, but not enough to want to build it herself.

Once the ramp and car was built, all three enjoyed sending the car down the ramp and into the sawhorse/barrels.The youngest enjoyed it the most ... he's always liked crashing things into other things.: Both boys have subsequently enjoyed snapping pieces together and free-form building things, although the oldest still likes trying to build ramps from the diagrams. While I don't think the set will end up being one of my children's favorite toys in the long run, they're enjoying it now.I'm considering buying one or two different stunt builder sets, both give them something else to build and to provide more pieces for their free-form construction efforts.

As an aside, it would be nice if Fisher Price could come up with some bigger, multi-set diagrams (and perhaps post them on their web site for downloading/printing) similar to how some of the marble run sets can be combined into mega marble runs.

But this is a decent toy with some learning aspects, mainly in how to construct things from diagrams/building plans.Four stars.

()I broke this out for my two boys (3 and 5) and it was well received. The younger one really liked the big Hot Wheel car that comes with the set.The car isn't much of a build but it is kind of nice in that you can put pieces on the car itself to make a some "modifications".The older is a die hard Lego fan to it was nice that this provides a new outlet for building. He enjoys putting the track together. However, some of insertions are a bit tough (connector poles) and I can foresee them breaking if not careful. The pieces are big chunky blocks and rods for the most part.Almost Duplo like in size. Here is sort of the problem for us.To be able to follow the instructions and make the connections (remember some are hard to make) you have to be on the 5ish side. However, due to the large blocks, limited build options (unlike Legos where a few pieces can make just about anything), limited pieces, and aesthetics it appeals more to the 3ish or even younger age.Plus, it only comes with one car and even if you got another car separately you can't really race them since the track can only accommodate one car.My boys did quickly figure out you could use regular Hot Wheels and race two cars. So, it holds the attention of my boys for only a little while. It is looking like this may get pushed towards the bottom of the toy heap in short time.

()I tend to buy my son building toys, because he loves building more than playing. At times, I am fortunate if he lasts playing with his creations, such as when he plays with his Legos. I am not about to compare Fisher Price's TRIO Hot Wheels collection to any Lego set, but I will say that building and playing with this toy held the same interest to my 4.5 year old as when he builds and plays with Legos. So far, he has been very pleased with this toy.

To begin with, this set includes 93 pieces, which I think is plenty to keep a 3-8 year old preoccupied for some time. Constructing the toy probably requires (limited) guidance from an adult if the child is about 5 or younger. The pieces are large and the plastic is quite durable; this toy is certainly not cheaply made. The blocks snap into place easily but at the same time, taking apart comes too easy. Depending on the child's age, the toy can take about 1hour or so to build. My son, with SOME help, built this toy in about 45 minutes. Once he built it, he could not be drawn away from the toy. He loves anything with wheels, and this set was not only ideal for including a neat car, but also perfect because the child has a choice of building the given design or building his own, which he loved! My son also has a vivid imagination; therefore, creating his own race track and grand prix was not too difficult.

Although the box claims that the toy is for 3-8 year olds, I am not so sure this toy would hold too much interest for a child over 6. Perhaps the child (over 6) would enjoy building the set and playing with it for a pair of hours; I only assume this because I find the toy ideal for children between the ages of 3-6 based on my observations with my own son and his older playmates. However, others might disagree with me.

For the price, $40 is not a bad buy for all it includes. If you are a parent who is unsure if your child will find interest in building blocks, give this collection a try. In all honesty, MegaBlocks and Lego Duplex blocks are not too different, but on the other hand, this trio set is certainly not a replica of either. I recommend this toy for parents who want to add variety to their child/children's toy collection. For a boy it cannot get any better than cars, ramps, and races! I give this toy a 5 because my child loved it since he received it, but also taking into consideration that a child's interest in a toy does not last forever, I give my son a few more weeks before he moves on to the next Hot Wheels set. He has hinted that he wants the "Lift'n Go Garage" but I will have to wait if a months before buying it.

When I first saw Trio blocks, I thought they were just another Lego wannabe. But this is something new.It has blocks, sticks, and panels. The blocks have holes in them that fit pegs on the sticks and panels. That allows the child to rapidly build up high or build airplane wings, etc.--anything that needs distance but not thickness. The blocks are also able to connect to other blocks like traditional building toys where the top of one fits into the bottom of the next row. We've had Trio blocks (this and another set) in the house for 3 months now and in regular use, and no parts have broken yet.

The Hot Wheels Super Stunt Builder set combines a car track with a building toy and you can use it for either one or both at any time. The set contains a building base, racing car, launcher ramp for the car, and blocks to build a structure to support the ramp.It has some specialized pieces but it's mostly versatile pieces and it was clearly meant for plenty of creative experimentation. That is, it doesn't follow the trend in "building" toys to be just snap-together play sets, it really is intended to be taken apart and turned into other things on a regular basis.

There are directions for some basic ramp possibilities with it and I'd call them about medium in clarity--sometimes it wasn't clear when an action was to be repeated and I sometimes had to think (not that there's anything wrong with that) about how a section I was building would connect to the rest of it.On the positive side, the pictures in the directions look like what you're supposed to actually build and they include two major layouts and one variation layout.

The main layout is a high slide that the car rolls down when you lift the launcher by one of its handles.Cleverly, it has no springs or mechanism to cock first, so it's not easily broken and it is easy to understand. On flat surfaces the launcher returns to the start position on its own by gravity. The car hits a flipping "gong" sort of thing as it goes by and you can set up the included barrels past that for added mayhem. The launcher and track work just fine with other wheeled toys, and it can be fun to line them up and see who can go furthest.

A tip:It's very likely that at some point your child will first destroy the elaborate version of the track and then ask you to make it work for cars again right away.No need to refuse. The panels make it easy to build high in a hurry if you need to.Just build a tower with four panels and layers of bricks between them and put the launcher on top and hook the track to it--time permitting, maybe build a 1-panel high support about halfway down the track. No flags, no shed on top, no elaborate railing, no walls, no gong--but the cars will still go down the track just fine.

Pro: 1) More blocks for the money than an average Trio set. 2) High repeat-play value. 3) You can play too, an adult won't get bored easily 4) Works with other Trio sets 5) No broken parts in 3 months.

Con: 1) Trio racing car driver doesn't fit anything else in the Trio world that I can find--neither the sticks nor the bricks connect to his feet, only a socket inside the car. 2) I'm still not sure whether or not the sticks part could be dangerous though they aren't sharp and nothing has happened so far. 3) The car is heavy--that's good because it really launches, but keep bare feet out of the way.

Bottom line:I plan to buy more Trio sets in the future.

()Let's be honest, the best thing about toy cars is making them crash into things, that's true for me as a 36 year old and it's certainly true for my boys 8 and 2 1/2 (x2), so anything that facilitates that process is going to be a win in my house. That said, this is actually a very clever toy as it combines building (sort of Lego/Tinkertoy hybrid blocks) with a ramp for cars. The result is automotive aerial mayhem of the highest order in a toy that also encourages creativity and planning. My only guidance with this toy would be that the suggested age range of 3+ seems a little low to me; this toy has worked well in our house because my eight year old can snap the pieces together in his sleep, but there is no way his brothers could do so, and I suspect that a three year old would struggle mightily as the toy just requires too much manual dexterity and planning for that age group.

That concern aside, this is a really fun toy that has the benefit of being modifiable. While it may be a little sophisticated for a three year old, the flip side is that it encourages, parent/child or sibling/child interaction much more than a pre-cast toy.Highly recommended for all toy car lovers.

Good starter set. The engine runs well. However the cars come off the track because they are so light. The stockade is a nice accessory.

I put this together and the the back of the train wouldn't stay on the track. It broke in several places and when I put it back in the box it broke in some more. It should of been on the market to buy. Very cheap. Im going to return it.

Compared to the HO trains my kids enjoyed in the late 70's, this train is very fragile. When it arrived, the electric mechanism fell out from under the engine and I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to secure it.Once I had this resolved, it does look good when it runs around the tracks. It is a great replica of a diesel train.Adults would need to supervise children who want to play with it.

I ordered this train for myself to put around the Christmas tree, and thought I might start creating a model train layout. But it is so cheaply made, the cars are such cheap plastic and the track broke the first time I tried to pull two pieces apart (the way the instructions told me to)!I am very disappointed!I expected it to be like my brother's old Tyco, but the quality is definitely not there! The engine is okay, and runs nice, but I really expected more from something that was originally priced at $150.00.I paid too much at 1/3 the cost!Next time I will pay a lot more and get the real deal!Life Like HO Scale Homestead Express Train Set

Melissa & Doug Pets Jumbo

Melissa & Doug Pets JumboWe got several Melissa & Doug Jumbo Knob puzzles for our 13 month old daughter and she loves them! It is easy for her to pick up and she puts the pieces where they belong not necessarily fitting the shape in but on the same spot as the picture :-).

I had looked at other brands of puzzles but found the knobs too small and worried that they might be swallowed if it came off. The Jumbo Knobs in M&D puzzles are screwed on and very secure.

I have other Melissa and Doug puzzles, and expected this one to be just as good. Mistake. The older ones had pictures painted on the wood board, this one has a paper picture glued on. The safety of your baby eating that paper and glue is unclear...

On top of this, the board is not solid wood, but looks like a few thin boards pressed together (sorry, don't know what it's called!) the edges are very sharp, I tried to file the rough sides down and cut my hand!

Of course, no way my son is playing with this puzzle, so all its cuteness and pretty sound education value along with my money, are going to waste. Think twice before buying.

This puzzle is very durable-my daughter is in a throwing phase, so these pieces have been thrown around repeatedly and still look like new.She has learned the animal sounds for all the animals. The big knobs are great for her little hands and improving her fine motor skills.Melissa & Doug puzzles were recommended to us by my daughter's speech therapist and we love them in our house!

The puzzle is super cute and colorful. The large knobs make it easy for a one year old to handle the pieces. The only downside is that the wood is pretty soft so if your little one is into banging things around, the puzzle can look worn pretty quickly.

I have a 2 year old son with Down syndrome. This puzzle is fantastic for him.The knobs are easy for him to grasp. The puzzle is very durable. He bangs the pieces together and bangs them on the puzzle board. The knobs are still secure and the pieces are not broken or chipped. This puzzle is a great learning tool for him.It teaches him not only where the piece fits in but we also say the name of the animal and make the corresponding sound.I highly recommend this puzzle for toddlers and developmentally delayed children.

Pool Sharks

Pool SharksThis toy came highly recommended on a popular family magazine's holiday gift guide, so I ignored the fact that there were no reviews from customers here on Amazon yet, which I usually depend on to findout what to expect from a toy. We've just finished playing it for the first time though, and I have to say, I'm really disappointed in this toy, and probably won't be going on the word of that magazine's recommendations in the future.

The main complaint I have about this product is the design and function of the fish-shaped pockets that must be attached to the sides and corners of the table. Each pocket collects and holds the balls shot into them, where they are held in a deep well at the base of each pocket and can only be retrieved by removing the entire fish-pocket from the game table and tilting the pocket until the ball(s) roll out into your hand. The directions that come with the game actually advise that this is the best way to retrieve balls from a fish pocket. However, when this needs to happen during regular game play when the cue-ball is accidentally knocked into one of the pockets, for instance it simply can't be done without disrupting the positions of every other ball on the table. Not a great way to play a game of pool. Further, the pockets are also difficult to remove, prompting my 7 year old to reach a finger in to lift the ball out instead, where her finger got solidly caught in the trap-door mechanism that causes the fish to appear to have eaten the ball, indicating a potential danger to small children.

The shark shooters are actually very fun to use. They have three levels of power to choose from when you are shooting with them, though there is truly not much difference from one setting to the next, and you'll find that the strength with which you strike the ball depends more on the distance you hold the shooter away from the cue ball than which setting you put the shooter on.

The pool balls are small, and of a decent weight for their size. Though heavier balls would mean an increased rate of sinking your shot, and lessen the likelihood that the balls would simply bounce off of the edge of the table and fly across the room, which happened several times during our game play.

The game surface itself was not at all satisfactory when we opened the box it is covered with a flocked fabric that, out of the box, had several small air bubbles underneath, which, anyone knows, will alter the direction of the balls when game is in play. We were able to press these out by running a finger over the bubbles a couple of times until they became flat, but in doing so, rubbed some of the flocking off of the surface, which is also not good for game play.

This was not an expensive toy, so all considered, the quality is about what I expected for the price. If that were all there was to consider, I'd be satisfied with the purchase and we'd enjoy it while it lasts. But the design flaws in the ball retrieval system which don't allow for a complete game to be played without interruption make this game not worth the few dollars it cost to purchase it.

Lipper International 513GR Child's Table and 2-Chair Set, Green and White

Lipper International 513GR Child's Table and 2-Chair Set, Green and WhiteI bought this set for my daughter who is 23 months old.We have a small kitchen and this set fit perfectly into the corner.(BTW, Fred Meyer had this exact same set in their 2008 Christmas toy catalogue for $50 but only available in blue or pink.)Shortly after I'd assembled it, my daughter hit her head against the edge of the table.Don't know how it happened but she hit her temple and the cut was so deep my doctor recommended stitches. She did not hit the corner of the table, just one of its edges. The edge of this table and the chairs are *very square*.It's still a great table -very solid.I'm now very careful when my daughter is around it.I'm sure as she gets older I won't need to worry as much but I thought others contemplating this purchase should be aware of any potential hazards.

In the first shipping order I recieved of this table I found that one of the chair pieces was damaged.I returned the set and was quickly refunded by Amazon. At the same time I also ordered another as I was impressed with the quality of the product. The next table and chair set came in perfect condition.I ordered the green and white set for my 16mo old daughter. This set is solid and made of wood! Yes, wood not particle board. It was very easy to put together. Each chair had four pieces and six heavy duty hex screws, and the tabletop required four screws for each leg. All of the screws and adjacent holes lined up perfectly.I am 170lbs and I do not worry about sitting on these chairs with my daughter (with care of course). I am very happy with this purchase and so was my daughter!

I ordered this item for my 18 month old daughter. When it arrived, one of the slats had come off the chair seat, exposing dried glue and sharp staples.I figured I would reglue the slat and keep the table. As I continued with assembly, I discovered that a piece of wood under the tabletop joining two legs together had been completely destroyed due to screws being inserted too tightly (during factory assembly). There were also multiple cracks around the corners of the table.I requested a replacement and sent back the set.I just received my replacement today and I didn't even have to take one piece out of the box to see that the corner of the table is badly cracked; it appears to have been dropped during shipment and there was not enough packaging material inside to cushion the wood. This time I am requesting a refund and looking for a different table and chairs set.

Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - Roundhouse

Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - RoundhouseThe Thomas train and train collections are durable toys. Their real value, though, is that playing with the toys allows children to act out the great Thomas and Friends children's stories they read and watch.

Kids' imaginations can remarkably supply buildings and water towers and cranes, etc., so that they won't even miss what might be lacking from less expensive sets. And families can build some of these items themselves out of old boxes, etc.BUT I HAVE YET TO MEET KIDS THAT LOVE THOMAS THAT DIDN'T WANT A ROUNDHOUSE.

This is the 'official' Thomas roundhouse, but it is very expensive. YOU PROBABLY CAN FIND A GENERIC ROUNDHOUSE FOR A LOT LESS (MAYBE EVEN 2/3 LESS!) WITH A LITTLE LOOKING.

Purchasing recommendation:

* Choose which type of Thomas trains you will 'standardize' on. There are three kinds: This size of wooden trains from Learning Curve; larger, plastic, battery-operated trains from Tomy; and smaller, die-cast metal trains from Ertl. The wooden trains have the most products and accessories available.

* The clickety-clack (grooved to look like real railroad) track in the Thomas series is great, but it's expensive; I recommend buying generic track. ... You can literally save hundreds of dollars by buying these kinds of sets.

* Buy the Thomas and friends engines separately--and wait for sales. The kids care about the characters, so no short-cutting (ie., Brio or generic trains) here.

* Look for trains bundled with VHS videos. You can get a video and a train (on sale) for about the same price as a train alone.

* Only buy the official accessories (buildings, tables, etc.) if you cannot find generic substitutes for less or cannot make them yourself.

The Thomas train sets are great modern versions of the classic indestructible wooden train sets.Simple enough to avoid the toddler age frustrations of getting the cars to run on the track yet complex enough to engage a wide range of ages (up to and including Grandpas). All the stories help with the imagination part....the books & videos provide an endless source of adventures that can be acted out, although most kids are perfectly capable of inventing their own episodes.

Here is my advice, if you are trying to work your way through the maze of start-up options:

First of all, you can spend a fortune on a huge set....even if you can afford it, I would start with something small and give the child the joy of receiving a chain of small but intriguing presents over a long period of time.It fosters the joy of giving/receiving and helps teach them to come back again and again to the same toy...watching it grow, asking for specific items from the stories they hear, etc.Several reviewers suggest painting an old coffee table and this is a great idea.

I suggest the Figure 8 set (the most popular one) or if you want to spend a little bit more, the Conductors Figure 8 set. Both are complex enough to be interesting, but simple enough to give lots of room for growth.Almost immediately I would add a new present of one of the inexpensive engines (you can ask the child which story they like best and get that engine for them....or buy the engine to go with the video or book in the same gift)....these would be Percy The Small Engine, Bill The Yellow Engine, Treavor, (or a bit more $ for:) The Lady Engine, James The Red Engine, Gordon The Express Engine (he's one of the best stories, I think), or Henry The Green Engine.

Now for the good stuff!Give it a month or so, and then reward the child with something really cool like the Barrel Loader or Rusty the Construction 3 Car Set.

I honestly can't see the point in the huge multi hundred dollar system sets.If you want to impress the neighbors or something, go for it, but I'm telling you.....most kids will enjoy a large number of small thoughtful gifts, not a "keep-up-with-the-Jones" effort on your part.

Good behavior can be rewarded with a pick-your-own trip to the store (there are sometimes when a real time shopping trip can't be beat)

By the way, the Thomas stories are based on real restored engines that run in England on the Mid-Hants Railway Watercress line near Winchester (you can read about them an even plan a trip to ride on the real Thomas trains by checking outwatercressline.co.uk).They are a day trip from the London rail stations, although I recommend using a B&B in the Winchester area and staying overnight if you decide to go.Winchester was the center of the old Saxon kingdom of Wessex of King Alfred as well as a major early medieval site (the Cathedral has the tombs of many of the Saxon Kings as well as Jayne Austen and Izaac Walton and it was where Richard the Lionhearted was crowned.)

My three-year-old son loves Thomas & has many of the wooden railway sets & pieces. We thought he would love the Roundhouse, but this is the least played with item in his collection. In fact, I can't say that I've seen him play with it more than a couple of times and never for long. He'd much rather spend his time moving his trains around the tracks and over mountains and bridges (a much better way to spend your Thomas money, if you ask me). This piece is overpriced for what it is and you really need the round-about turntable to go with it (so, add an additional thirty to the cost). It is well constructed like all of the other Thomas & Friends wooden pieces by Learning Curve, which is why I gave it 2 stars.

So...gauge your child's interest before purchase by watching how he or she plays.Your little conductor might have you spend the money on other items (mountains, extra tracks, a water tower, etc.) than on this piece.I know the Roundhouse is one we could live without, though maybe my son will develop an interest in it later.Go to your local toy store where a configuration is on display & see if your child uses the roundhouse much before making this purchase.

As an avid Thomas fan, my son (4) loves this roundhouse. For the unenlightened, this is the house where the trains "sleep." It is durable and easy to put together and immediately adds to the complexity and fun of any track combination. It allows my son to engage more easily into pretend play, as he can put differnt trains back to the roundhouse to take a rest while he plays with others. The only minus of this building is its size--it is quite big and cannot be put apart. But again, as all the Learning Curve Thomas series toys, it is durable (wood), fun, easy to put together and a long term favorite.

When I ordered the roundhouse I believed that the red 5-way switch track was also included, especially when it is pictured on the box, but was disappointed to find that it wasn't. As my 4 year old son believes, as I am sure most do, that this is a very necessary piece of the building he will have to wait until his birthday to receive it (...). A little upsetting.

Apart from this one thing the Roundhouse is a fantastic piece to have on any Thomas layout, my son loves it and plays with it for hours.

My 5 year old son received this game as a gift. When I looked at the rules of the game, it seemed a lot more complicated than he could handle, but after a few run throughs, he really caught on.He is even picking up the idea of strategy by picking up other players' tiles.Overall, I think this is a decent educational game.It teaches abstract thinking (trying to put the right tiles down) and strategy.Try it!

The goal is to help Nemo find a path through the sewer pipes to the ocean. You have a bank of pipe pieces and are trying to create a path to the "ocean".You roll dice to determine 1) if you get to lay or remove any pipe(path) pieces and 2) how many spaces you are allowed to move.It is a strategy game that is fun for many ages (if you can overlook the Nemo characters.)

My daughter loved this when she was 4.We played a very friendly everyone-tries-to-get-to-the-ocean-and-doesn't-worry-about-anyone-else type game where it focused on planning ahead for multiple possible paths. As she mastered that, we started playing increasingly cutthroat games where we planned ahead not only for our own possible paths, but also visualizing the possible paths of other players requiring the use of defensive and offensive strategies. Now she is 8, still loves this game, and relishes the strategy challenge it presents.

Very cool!! Even though I hardly ever play it, stragety is the name of this game. Try and be the first player to get Nemo back home to his anemone. This kinda reminds me of an old Pocahontas game I have. Overall, it's very cute, fun, and educational.

18 Slot 31" Black Floor Stand Prize Wheel

18 Slot 31' Black Floor Stand Prize WheelI bought this wheel for my company's use at tradeshow booths.People LOVE to spin the wheel. It's a great conversation starter, and gets people actively engaged in your booth. It's also a great way to get people to opt in to your email marketing list just make it clear that by spinning the wheel, they are agreeing to receive your email newsletters.

this prize wheel was not purchased as a toy. It was purchased to use in educational programs. Although we use it to play games, the games are all a part of a Cooperative Extension Service educational program. From diabetes education to environmental issues, this wheel makes learning fun. We have used them in several venues all with positive feedback. When we're in a room without a table, it is tall enough to set on the floor. when in a classroom setting, the legs can be shortened and it set on a desk or table. Its fantastic to get points across to audiences of all ages.

Giant Cool Wave Slide - Green

Giant Cool Wave Slide - GreenThe slide is really fun for my young children.Even our dog slides on it!Our children slide very fast and they love it.It is tall though and I will caution when using it with small children.

The slide is flimsy... similiar material they use when buying those metal swings and have the small 3.5 foot slide; it wabbles... super light weight...The screws are a joke... they are tiny (about an inch), but thick... one screw came off on the first day of use...I used 2.5 inch screws with washers. On the reinforcement, I put in a whole wooden brace across, not just two sticks on the sides... I live in the desert, and the dry hot weather may cause the plastic to harden and brake...

Now, I write two years later and must say it is still as I got it, durable and undamaged by the sun or use... I am surprised and humbled by this product.

We bought this online after searching far and wide for a longer than average slide. When it arrived, we were very disappointed to find out that it really is almost indistinguishable from the regular version.I understand that in an age of overly litigious parents and safety regulations "Giant" isn't what it used to be, but this things is just a wee bit longer than the standard version. It's also very lightweight and would have taken a great deal of bracing to use.

We're returning ours, which is of course a hassle, because even though it's not Giant, it certainly doesn't fit in the mailbox.

I installed this slide on an existing playhouse. Before you order this slide, be aware that the instructions are pathetic. The diagrams are tiny and vague. The slide itself is pretty thick plasic but it needs to be propery supported to be stable. Their method of stabilizing the slide is a joke. I anchored the center section 2x4 supports into concrete. I also raised the lower end 4 inches and anchored it into concrete. If the lower end is not raised up a little, the child will end up on his rear end every time he hits the bottom. The concrete anchors make the slide pretty stable. I can't imagine anchoring this slide per the manufacturer's directions. I can see from the reviews that others have had stability problems also. I would say that, if you don't want to anchor the supports in concrete, then don't order it. Otherwise, it's a good backyard slide.

Unique Art 21-Inch Tall Turquoise Blue Ocean Table Top Gemstone World Globe with Gold Tripod

Unique Art 21-Inch Tall Turquoise Blue Ocean Table Top Gemstone World Globe with Gold TripodI received my Unique Art Gemstone globe via Amazon's 2-day shipping program. The box was actually larger than I expected and did arrive a little worse for wear, but the globe is quite well packaged inside the box.The globe is padded with a custom styrofoam encasement and the gold frame is hand-wrapped in thick tissue paper to protect the delicate finish.Once unpacked, it was in perfect condition and quite impressive.

The gemstones were fit together perfectly and I spent some time reviewing the fine craftsmanship. The brilliant shine to both the gold frame and the globe itself are far more striking in person than on the stock photos. The pictures on Amazon's site do not quite do this item justice. As with most items, I found Amazon's pricing competitive with their online competition.I would recommend this line of gemstone globes to anyone looking to make a purchase.

Wilton Photo Clip Favor Kit

Wilton Photo Clip Favor KitMy son is getting married. He refused to show a video montage because he wants people to enjoy the evening together instead of watching a video. These are perfect for displaying pictures on the tables at the rehearsal dinner. The heart shape is perfect for the event.

I purchased these to use them as photo holders to put pictures up of the birthday boy from his birth to his adulthood over the years, all over the house! They were a huge hit! The only drawback was the normal 4x6 photos kept falling over and I had to use double sided tape to tape them to the tables so that they would not topple over. I recommend using smaller photos(2x3)or the place cards that come with them for cute notes and memos all around the house.

I purchased these photo clips for my September wedding.I used them to hold the names of the tables, as we went with names of places we have traveled, rather than table numbers. They worked perfectly, and I have used them again since so mark food for our Christmas party. They work great, are sturdy, and stand up without trouble.I would recommend these for photos, name tags, table numbers, or any situation where you may need to label something.

As advertized but a bit flimsy. The wiring doesn't suport too much and I ended up just using these for my welcome table as opposed to using them for every table.
