Ping Pong 6 Paddle & 6 Ball Rack Solid Oak (Unfinished)

Item is attractive and works perfectly.Well-made.Awesome that it comes from Colorado, too! Thanks a whole bunch. This completes our ping pong playing area in the garage.

Simple, but functional. It came unfinished. Took two evenings to stain and clear coat. Very pleased with it. The area looks much better than paddles and balls scattered on the floor.

Only one of the 2 screws that hold the 2 "holder" (paddle & balls) pieces came with the unit. Also the holes that hold the balls are too close together to allow all 6 balls "seat" into the holes.Otherwise okay ...... still made it work basicly.

VTech - Grow And Discover Music Studio

There are a few reasons why I didn't give this 5 stars:

The voice that speaks/sings sounds like someone recorded it on a home-video. It doesn't sound like a "toy voice". Some phrases are hard to make out.

The main reason I got this was for the microphone, since our 9-month old LOVES to babble into it and hear her voice. The volume is very low on it.

I feel like the 2 volume levels to choose from are "loud" and "extra loud".

I was under the impression that she could use this while standing, but it's so short, she can only sit down and use it.

What I like about this is:

It doesn't play the same songs over and over.

My daughter loves turning the page of the book and moving the pick on the guitar.

The guitar and other piece (is it a tambourine?Become detached so she can play with them separately.

I feel like it is sturdy. She has leaned on it multiple times and it didn't fall or seem like it was going to tip over.

It keeps her interested for the most part. When she crawls away from it, it says "Come and play with me".Which keeps her busy for longer, but if she doesn't go back, it keeps repeating.

I do not find this device cheaply made. Yes if my baby stands up and pushes on guitar or drums it will fall off.The point is the they are supposed to be removed and used as an instrument.

Bottom line my baby goes to this musical device quite often. At 9 months it is one of his favorite toys.We buy nothing that will not last him from 9 months to 2-3 years.I think this toy will be used quite often for months ( years) to come.Good value.

Buy VTech - Grow And Discover Music Studio Now

As a bit of background, I've been singing my entire life, I can play multiple musical instruments, and I love all kinds of music--well almost all kinds!

I was so excited for my son to get this to help get him started with music. He likes that he can push buttons and it makes noises in response, and he likes flipping the plastic pages of the book, but that's about it.The microphone does mildly work, but you have to put your mouth right on it to, and the toy itself will play music and sounds right over you as you speak or sing into the microphone, so you really can't hear yourself--taking away all the fun of the microphone.

The piano keys are nice, but the removable instruments aren't that fun when removed from the keyboard. They offer very little when attached to the keyboard as well.

Now the worst part about this: The voice and the lyricsAWFUL.The voice is a lady's voice and it just isn't good.I can't imagine they had people audition for this vocal part--it's a bit flat in parts, and it's hard to describe just why the tone of the singing is unappealing, but it really is unpleasant.Definitely not geared toward kids. The lyrics are pretty bad too--they rhyme the word "piano" with "so simple"in the lyric "Play guitar and piano, make music--so simple."

The sound quality is bad too.I don't expect it to sound like Bose speakers, but I have several toys by other brands, and it seems to me that the two 3 Vtech toys we have (all were gifts) all have the same poor sound quality--almost like crackly speakers. It's a deficiency that is hard to describe in words, but it makes the toys quite grating on the nerves after a while.

Overall, there has to be a better way to introduce a child to music and various musical instruments. We have an actual piano in our home, so our son gets exposed to that, but I am going to go on the hunt for a toy with a working microphone and decent sound quality because this toy is a flop.

WB Looney Tunes Kid's Inflatable Table & Chair Set - Tweety

I bought these for my boy/girl twins' 1st birthday. I wanted them to have their own little chairs but didn't want to spend a ton of money like the nicer regular chairs cost. I'm so glad I bought these, they love them. We've had them a year now and the pink chair just now deflated. I definitely got my money's worth, my daughter put a small hole in it recently so it has a slow leak, her fault not the chairs. The blue is still going strong. I might actually buy another set to replace hers.

We have used these chairs indoors and take them outside in the summer (on grass & concrete) and honestly they just love them. They can pick them up and drag them where ever they want, they'll sit together and eat their snacks in them, they're great. They did have a little trouble getting in them when I first bought them they would slide & I'd have to hold the chair sturdy so they could sit down, but hey they were only ONE at the time. I ended up deflating the seats just a bit so it was easier to get in & it worked, now they are fully inflated and have no trouble. The top blows up separately from the bottom, so that is nice. The table is sturdier than you would think for a blow up table, it does have a hard top. The chairs are also a good size, they are 2 now and could easily use them through 4 or 5 I imagine.

I wish they came in other characters, my kids don't know Tweety (they don't care either) BUT if they came in Mickey or Elmo (whom they love) that would be FANTASTIC!

Definitely recommend these chairs & this set, WELL worth the money.

Inflatable and colorful.Requires some adjusting to get the seats just right so child does not fall forward. My grandson loved the colors and loves having his own little table.Good deal for the price.

Abc Stickers For The Tub

We purchased a set of these for my son to use in the bath, so that he could learn his ABC's.Once he accomplished that, we quickly found out that one set was not enough. We have three sets, and we use these to teach spelling and reading.

When these arrived I was a little disappointed to find out how small each letter was (about 1 1/2 inches each).I was hoping they looked more like the picture, but some of the letters are actually hard to tell apart....they just aren't printed very clearly.I wanted to use these to help my son recognize letters as he was playing in the tub....but they will most likely just be play toys.Oh well, my son still loves them.

My daughters love playing with all of these different bath sticker/foamies.The only issue I have with this set is there is only one of each letter and it would have been great if they did 2 of some of the more common ones...we can't spell much with them, which was one of the reasons I bought them.Overall, they still have fun.

I bought these for my baby at 4 months and now at a year old, she still loves them. She will hold one in each hand and walk around the house. They are fun in the tub because they stick to the side, she loves to pull them off. They also are good teethers most now have little tooth indentions on the back, but the foam isn't breaking or anything like that, they seem perfectly safe. And for some reason, our cat likes them too ?????

9" Dr. Julian Bashir Action Figure - Warp Factor Series 2 - Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

This figure is well done w/ real clothing fabric. It's nicely articulated with accessories and a base stand for displaying purposes. The box itself sure is collector friendly. It has a large window that provides good viewing of the product and basic character information. This was made by Playmates Inc. back in the 90's. Would be ideal for display in/out of box and a good conversational piece.

Stomple Board Game

I purchased this game this weekend while attending the Chicago Toy and Game Fair. We were able to speak to the inventor as well as play the game right on the spot. The minute we played we were instantly hooked. This game is simple to learn as well as play. The inventor was friendly and told us the different ways we can play the game and make it interesting even for younger kids. The game is definitely a must have for anyone who likes a good strategy game! Take my word for it... once you stomp your first marble... you won't be able to stop playing.

As both a teacher and a parent, I can't rave enough about this game!My kids can't resist the colorful marbles and especially the thrill of STOMPING out the other players.I love the critical thinking and strategizing that they have to unknowingly use to play (and win) the game. The design is simple and easy to use.My kids played this for the first time weeks ago and even surrounded by new holiday gifts couldn't stop talking about their new favorite game.Stomple is ridiculously addictive and fun!

A friend just introduced me to this game and I loved it so much I had to run out and get it.Unlike most games, it's so easy to learn and fun to play.Even my little brother and his friends have been able to pick up the game and enjoy it. I plan to buy a couple for friends for the holiday.

Bought this game brand new from Amazon.com and right after opening discovered a few issues:

1) Horrible chemical smell. I had to take it outside right away to air out, since no one in the room could stand the smell. By the way, the sticker on the game says something about formaldehydrate levels that were checked. Hmmm... why do we need any amount of a cancer-causing chemical in the children's game?

2) Missing and broken items. Some beads are missing and one stompler is broken.

3) The manufacturing company does not stand behind their product and the customer service representatives are not professional. I emailed the company's website to ask if they would be able to replace the items or should I return the whole game. The customer service representative told me to call them. I called them and for some reason they wanted to know bunch of my personal information before even talking to me. Then the customer service representative was trying to tell me that I got counterfit game from a third-party seller. What? This game's web site states that the Amazon is one of the authorized sellers and I got it brand new from the Amazon. Then this clerk put me on hold twice and finally told me that they would not be able to replace the items since it was a limited-release game. Why could not they explain it in their first email?

Want Stomple Board Game Discount?

We have had this game for nine months now and it is still a family favorite.Whenever we bring it out somewhere and start playing it, kids we don't know come over and join in the fun.I get requests to bring in along on our outings.Kids as young as 4 have learned to play the game well, yet it still holds the attention of adults.

It only takes a couple of minutes to learn the basics, but there is a strategy to it. Seven sets of colored marbles are placed randomly on a raised board. Each player pulls a Stomple out of a pouch and their color is the one on the top of the Stomple.Starting from the outside of the board you proceed to stomp out other players' marbles so that your color marble is the last one left. Each turn you can choose a different color to stomp on (as long as it is next to your Stomple), but you must continue stomping as long as that color is adjacent to the space you are on.You can jump to another part of the board if you get stuck, but only to your own color which reduces the amount of your marbles.

The board is made up of two pieces. The wooden bottom tray can hold all the marbles and the Stomples when the game isn't in use and catches the marbles as you stomp them. The top wooden piece has holes in it and is backed in foam so that the marbles can be held in place but still be easily pushed through by the Stomple.I was afraid that the foam would no longer hold the marbles up over time, but I have not found that to be the case. The game has taken a lot of abuse in the hands of my three sons and their friends, and it is still in one piece.BTW, the game uses standard sized marbles so you could replace them easily if any were to get lost.

As for the smell that others mentioned, the only odor I noticed was that of the stain that was used on the wooden board. The odor was gone after a few days and I did not find it to be an issue (and I am the type that can't enter a house with new carpeting for at least a week because of the outgassing).

Melantha Greenhand, Female Halfling

Been searching for a decent Halfling Bard mini for my wife for a long time, but they were all terribly looking. Found this one and felt it represents her character a lot better than any of the specific models. Looks better in person than in the image. Nice and tiny, we'll have to find a base to put it on. Looking forward to painting it. Very happy with this, everyone was impressed when she showed up with her own mini, and it wasn't even plastic. Good times.

I was very happy to find this mini. It's the first mini I've purchased, and I am looking forward to getting more. :) This works for me now, as I have more than one female halfling characters. Now I just have to work up the nerve to paint it!

Toysmith Deluxe Zen Garden

I loved the box and tools, they look very nice, cute cranes and all, but the rocks are the plain , dull sort, not the glowing jade advertised. just to let you know....

I do not believe this is a toy... It is very calming to use, and therefore, it is a form of meditation. The Book of Meditations that it comes with are enlightening quotes, ones that will help you reach peace of mind.

The box is well built, and sturdy. It comes with two bags of sand, but one is enough to fill the box. The rocks are not jade as advertised, but they are polished, shiny, and smooth. One of my cranes fell over at first, but I just had to pull one of the legs back and it stands just fine=]. The broom that you use to smooth out the sand when first beginning, and after each use doesn't really work how it is supposed to, but I use the back side, without the bristles and it works out well. The sand is really, really soft, and white, and the box is gorgeous.

This is an excellent product. I was so excited to receive it, and now I am so glad to have it.... FOREVER!! I love my new garden. It's fun, and you feel like you have an actual garden to tend to. It's FANTABULOUS... Mine is anyway... Other customers said their box was wobbly due to uneven legs, but mine isn't. If you do not purchase this Zen Garden, I still highly recommend getting one, although, this one seems to be the best one out there.

11" Standard Chinese Natural Wood Checkers Game

The set purchased from Dazzling Gifts through Amazon was not the set pictured. I wanted an 11" set with marbles (so they could be easily replaced if lost) and paid more to get one -but got the kind with wood pegs sold for $5 less in other listings. So keep that in mind.

The pegs are wood and fit nicely into the board. It looks like the replacement pegs sold on Amazon will fit into this board. They are listed as .31" in diameter and I measured the holes in this board to be a little over 1/4 inch.

Fun game, it's a classic.

GOOBER BEAR 11"

I'm a 55 year old child at heart and during the time I was ill Goober sat on my bed and kept me company. I hugged him, talked to him about anything that wasn't considered sense in the human world. I needed that very much.

I was in a hobby store and sitting on the shelf in the front was Goober begging for a hug. I picked him up and knew he was going home with me. No matter what is going on in the world and in my life, one look at this bear always makes me smile. You don't have to be a stuffed animal person to really enjoy him. The way he looks just provides a presence and gives a feeling of companionship where ever he is. There's no way to go wrong with purchasing this bear, whether for a gift or for yourself. I normally don't write reviews for products, but this is one product I feel deserves to be praised.

Gund 11-Inch Goober BearI ordered this bear for my son who is 9 years old. He does not like "girlish" stuff, but this one is so cute and soft that he could not resist. Actually I ordered Goober Sr firstly for our friends' 1-year-old daughter. She is now 1 and a half. She drags Mr Goober by the ear all over the house. It is a little too heavy for her but she cannot part with it. The ear by the way is still on the place. My son loved his smaller version of Goober the bear. He sleeps with it. I gave the toy 5 stars for educational value because my son is going to take it to his school for B.E.A.R. days (do not know exactly what it means, something like Be Ready to Read :)The cutest and softest bear I ever touched!

Bello Games New York, Deluxe Pool Table EXTRA LARGE 44"

My wife and I love pool but being a military family and having to move every few years makes having a full-size table pretty much an impossibility. I took a bit of a gamble on this one hoping it would bring some of the fun of pool into our home and it exceeded my hopes.

I was worried something bulky like this would be damaged in shipping but it was well packaged and arrived nearly perfect, with only one small cosmetic ding that I didn't even spot on first inspection. There's really no setup or assembly required; just unpack it, unfold the legs and you're good to go. The table feels fairly heavy for its size (certainly much heavier than a card table) and feels reasonably solid when we were playing.

The game play was better than expected. The felt seems to have the appropriate amount of resistance for the scale of things. Everything is miniature as compared to a real table of course, but it was still just as much fun for casual players like us.

The small amount of enjoyment lost by the fact that this table is smaller than a real table is more than made up for by the fact that we have it in our home and can play any time the mood strikes. Add to that the fact that the legs fold up and we can easily store the table out of the way when not in use and we are a very happy pool-playing family.

My Grand children love it!!! It is sturdy and stores easily, when they are not here. Their parents enjoyed teaching them the game of pool.

To begin with, I am quite satisfied with this locomotive. However, I did find that the wheels needed to be cleaned before it would operate smoothly. When the locomotive was not operating smoothly, it did jump the track a couple of times. After getting it to operate smoothly, I did not have it jump off the track again. As a side note, I have found that this locomotive can easily be converted to DCC. I was able to find room within the locomotive cover to house a small Digitrax DZ123 decoder.

2-Sided State Quarter Jigsaw Puzzle 500pc

I'm a puzzle lover and a state quarters enthusiast so I couldn't help but buy this puzzle when I saw it.My anticipation level was high when I received it and quickly began piecing it together. It took me about four hours to finish and it was overall a satisfying and fun experience.

So, the good bits:The detail on each quarter is fun to piece together.Often you'll find yourself looking at just a few letters and deciphering which quarter "SACH" belongs to, for example. The word puzzles inside the jigsaw puzzle were fun to complete. As the puzzle comes together you enjoy that sense of satisfaction that good puzzles give you.

Now for the disappointing items:

1.The jigsaw piece design is not good.Far too many pieces simply butt up against their neighbors, with no interlocking action at all.Often times you'll find yourself with 7 or even 10 pieces all carefully placed in the proper spot with not a one of them actually connected. An errant bump then ruins the group.I think this problem is due to the round shape of the puzzle but that makes it no less annoying.

2.The double-sided thing is a novelty and nothing more.Initially I was going to solve the puzzle twice, one for each side, but because of the issue above, I decided putting together the less detailed side with no help from the shapes of the pieces would be way more frustrating than fun.The colors wouldn't really help either-just a bunch of different shades of grey.I ended up solving only the detailed side.

3.The manufacturer committed a serious mistake. They chose to use the "good" side of the puzzle for the bad design (the single quarter). If you look at a normal puzzle piece up close, you'll see there is a glossy side with the image on it and a plain cardboard side. The glossy side's edges are rounded down as a result of the cutting process (the entire puzzle is "punched" in one blow) which makes the pieces easy to handle and nicely fit together. The cardboard side is completely flat. With this puzzle, they applied a glossy backing to the bottom of the puzzle and put the detailed design on the bottom! So the fun side to solve is actually on the bottom of the puzzle as it relates to how the puzzle was punched and as a result it's simply not as fun to put together as it could have been had they switched the two sides and put the good design on the top.Or even better, dispense with the gimmicky double sided feature and just give us a high quality one-sided state quarters puzzle.

4.The price dropped by $7 (almost 50% off) a week after I ordered it.

The pieces don't interlock.

The pieces.They don't interlock.

It's no trouble at all to determine which pieces belong on which side of the reversible puzzle.

But.

Once you assemble a state's quarter, you can not move it, except piece by painstaking piece.Because... the pieces don't interlock.

Maybe it's more of an issue around here, where my family of boys likes to tackle puzzles together.Let me tell you, if one child has gone to the trouble to assemble Delaware and another child picks Delaware up to fit it in the larger puzzle, and Delaware crumbles... this is not a peaceful puzzle.

Disney Cars Activity Desk and Chair Set

I'm not sure why this is in the "toy" section, as it is really furniture. I found this in my local Walmart store and it was almost exactly what I was looking for. My toddler needed a "table" for snacks and meals that was portable and sturdy. Not only is this a folding set, making it easy to transport or put away in a closet, but is made out of heavy/sturdy materials and "locks" into position. My toddler has only managed to tip the chair over once, when he wasn't using it properly. Overall, a great solution that fit our needs and wants.

BTW: I bought this for $15 at Walmart.

I bought this table for my six year old grandson. He does everything on this nice sturdy table.I love that he can not unfold either piece by himself, hence there are no pinched fingers.
