18 Key Mini Grand

Schoenhut 18-Key Mini Baby GrandThis is one toy that remains out all of the time, gets used every day, and is enjoyed by our entire family. Baby's First Piano is a big hit! The sound is terrific, it looks great, and the bigger girls play songs on it all the time.

We bought this for our nine month old, and she took to it instantly. She bangs on it, uses it to stand, licks it, and generally does everything you'd expect a baby to do with a toy piano. The lacquer is quite nice, and it looks awfully cute on the floor with her toys.

I was a little disappointed with the sound, which the box describes as "chimes," but a more hostile voice might call "tinny." But really, for the price, it's well within range of acceptable. The colored notes system for playing pieces is easy enough to follow (for me, not my too young daughter); I managed to play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" credibly after ten minutes of practice. The baby was very happy to share her toy with me.

All in all, we're delighted with this toy.

This piano is very cute and sounds much better than the electronic keyboards. It does need 4 legs though! My little one climbs on top of everything and so I had to remove the legs because it tips but it has withstood her abuse nicely since Christmas so I would say that it is quite sturdy.

Purchased this for a 2yr old girl for Christmas who seems to have rythm. Not only was it very cute, it seems very well made not cheap looking at all, and it's a great way to inspire kids to learn to play the piano.

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas in two days.I just opened it and put it together and it sounds horrible.I looked at the other toddler pianos and some of the reviews said they did not sound good. Then I saw this one, which had no reviews, and I took a chance.A little bit more money than the others I looked at but definitely not worth it.The notes sound horrible. As much as I like traditional toys, maybe an electronic piano is a better bet as far as sound goes.
