We bought this for our 3 years old son because he showed interest in hitting ball with tennis style. Thought this game is still too complicated for him (the paddle is too heavy and the ball is too small), the whole family enjoyed it. And it's so easy to pack and bring it on a vacation, all you need is a flat surface. As for educational value, since my son hasn't played it that much, I cannot say anything about it. I expect as he's getting more coordinated, he'll enjoy this game.
