Butterfly ITTF Aproved 3-Star 40mm Table Tennis Balls (12-Pack)

Butterfly ITTF Aproved 3-Star 40mm Table Tennis BallsI love these table tennis balls. We play quite a bit at work and these have just enough texture that they spin really well.

I bought 2 packs of these balls. They are high quality and seem to have a good weight and consistency to them. When playing ping-pong with my friend we notice we can get better spin out of these balls compared to another 3 star brand we have been using. It is also easier to read the spin on the balls due to the black and red logo on them contrasting with the white ball.

We also play scar ball with these balls (eg. best of 3 points, loser has to turn around expose back, winner smashes ball as hard as he can at his back). We are in our 20's and smash these balls as hard as we can. The balls can take a real beating and none of them have ever cracked like another brand we used to play with.

I recommend these balls to someone who wants high quality consistent balls that aren't going to give you any trouble at all.

I can really tell a difference in these balls compared to the ones I bought at Dicks Sports. This has more bounce and grips better to the paddle for those special spin moves. The lifespan per ball seems to last a good while. I am a hobby player and probably play couple of times a week with family and friends. I would get these for any hobby player.

I've played lots of table tennis over many years in the basement at work during lunch hour. We've tried many different table tennis balls. We like the Butterfly 40 3-Star, but we unnamously keep coming back to the orange Nittaku 40 3-Star as our favorite. The Nittaku is very tough and durable, even when the balls hit the concrete walls. It seems to wear better, it "flies" good, is very consistent, and seems to have a better "feel" than the Butterfly. The Nittaku 40 Super Training Balls (often bought in bulk, lower price) are also excellent for both play and practice. And for any of the different balls that we've used, our color preference is orange, since it shows up better than white against most backgrounds. Nevertheless, both Butterfly and Nittaku are so much better balls than you can find at any sporting goods stores. If you want to get serious about playing table tennis, it is worth it to purchase these more expensive balls than the cheap sporting goods brands, which tend to crack easily and bounce inconsistently.
