Gund Baby Winky Huggy buddy, White

Gund Baby Winky Huggy buddy, WhiteMy girl is 17 mo and has loved "lamby" since she was 6 mo. It stays in her bed but still seems to get dirty. It has always washed up well and has stayed soft and white. I wash it inside a pollow case and air dry it. I am buying two more so I have back ups. It would be a tragedy if we lost him!

Our daughter became attached to her "Lambie" pretty early on.She loves to use his cute little head as a pillow, and loves to rub his little satin hand to fall asleep. We now own three "lambies" in case of emergencies! She hasn't slept or napped without him ever. His fur has become a little less soft after many washings, but so far he has held up pretty well.I suggest any of the Gund Huggybuddies for you little ones they make great loveys!!

We bought a second one because this lovey became our son's "blankie"It has held up well through many washes, and dries quickly.Soft and cuddly.

This order arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. The quality of the stuffed animal is very impressive. It is extremely soft and beautiful. My daughter loves the smaller ones so we decided to give her a larger one to drag around. She loves it!! I will definitely have to buy more as this one has already gotten a lot of use and abuse :-) Love this product and would definitely recommend it!!

Arts and Crafts Activity Table (Unfinished)

Arts and Crafts Activity TableOverall this is very nice, good looking, sturdy kids table.

The color (honey) is not stain and transparent finish, but some finish like paint in almost orange, warm tone...we like it a lot, but it was not what I expected from description. Also, one can see the wood pieces through this paint (semi-transparent paint?)...this is also ok with us, it still looks nice. Despite these notes, this is cute looking table and chairs. The chairs are sturdy so that adult can sit on them as well.

The wood is prone to denting...my toddler banged on it with a wooden tool and left some dents behind...some paint is chipping at one place where there is knot in the tree.

I bought this on Amazon at extremely low price (for table + 2 chairs) which may explain why I received product of possibly not the highest quality. At the time of purchase there were the same (or maybe better quality?) products on external websites for double the price. Currently, Amazon also sells for higher price.

Overall, I am happy that I could get this product at the low price...for that price this was a good deal...for double price, I would expect higher quality.

B. Toys Kids Flip Down Wood Easel/art Desk Combo In Espresso

B. Toys Kids Flip Down Wood Easel/art Desk Combo In EspressoI bought this for my son two years ago.The easel has a dry-erase side and a chalk-board side. The chalk-board side isn't done properly and is too smooth--chalk doesn't write on it.Also, it doesn't function well as a desk. When folded down to a desk it's too high for any child under 5 to sit and reach (the desk area is 24" high when folded down)--and any children's chair is too low for it.I tried stacking pillows for a few months, but it was difficult.Even as an art easel I had to set up a step-stool for my son--then 3--to reach it to paint. Also, the bins underneath make it uncomfortable to sit at as the child's feet hit the bins. And, there is a section of wood on the top of the easel that sticks up making it hard for kids to reach/put their arms down to color, etc. when it's folded down as a desk.

The dry-erase works great, my kids have had fun using that and the paper that rolls up over the top for painting.I primarily wanted to use this as a desk, with the added feature of the art easel and have been disappointed that I couldn't do that.I'm thinking about cutting a few inches off the bottom of the legs-removing the bins and the wood pieces that hold then, removing the extra wood piece on the top of the easel to make it more usable as a desk. It's annoying that I have to make so many modifications though.

  • Steel Alloy rail
  • Black roadbed
  • E-Z Track System --Snaps Together, Stays Together on Floors, Tables and Carpets
  • No nails, screws, or special tools needed
  • Modeled from AAR track engineering dimensions

the ez track style gives the look of orginal track layout like the real trains. The 9 is only the inches long.To me, its the best way to go unless you build and design your own track.

Right price and on time delivery. The train tracks are a perfect match for the train set and snap together easily. Alignment of the track height at the joints needs to be carefully done to avoid derailing the very light weight rail cars, but once set up properly, they are great.

I purchased the Thomas and Friends HO starter kit that uses the E Z track system after spending some time trying to get my old atlas style HO tracks together with little luck / much frustration.I purchased this kit to expand upon the oval that came with that kit.I was very impressed how easy this track goes together and stays together with no nailing.I was able to set up a train on our kitchen table for my daughter's birthday and then simply pull it apart and re-assemble on a much larger table in my basement. To me its well worth the price. The only downside is I was told there aren't as many options for the E Z tracks yet, but I've seen all of the basics (straight, curve, Y split, crossing, bridges, etc) so there is more than enough to have a good setup.

Want Bachmann Trains Snap - Fit E - Z Track 9" Straight Track (4/Card) Discount?

I am a retired man recently widowed. While going thru my wife's belongings I came across my HO steam engine and my Bachman Spectrum passenger cars.I got excited and decided to put it under the Christmas tree this year.I tested it to see if it still runsand found that the only track I had was 2 9" straight tracks which was enough to move the engine back and forth. So now I needed track.. I never thought Amazon would sell track and sure enough they do. I liked what I saw in the picture and the reviews were good.I liked the idea about then snapping together and can be used on carpet without the track moving.I took a chance and ordered several packs of the 22" radius curved, some 9" straight and the terminal rerailer.First good part is it was on PRIME and I did receive my order in 2 days.I put them together and was amazed how easily the snapped together and just as easy to take them apart.

I wanted to run my train around the Christmas tree on the carpet.(Every Christmas tree should have a train either under it or beside it.)I ran the train at full speed and so happy to see the track did not move on the carpet, it lays flat on the carpet and the train runs evenly on the track (no wavy up and down ride where the tracks connect together. It is a tight solid fit.The result is the tracks lay on the carpet like they were nailed down onto a platform. Then I was really excited and got the Christmas tree and set it up inside the circle. Then I went and bought more straight trackso more or less eliminate a circle.Well, to make a long story short,My tree is up, the train running, and all the holiday decorations are on displayeven though Thanksgiving Day 2012 was still 4 days in the future.

If you older and old kids (my age) are going to get your train out and running again and you find that your track is no longer usable, the Bachmann Snap-Fit track is the only way to go.One final plus that I must mention:Amazon, thank you very much for paying for my track with the points on my Amazon credit cardand having it here in two days with Prime. You just have to love when Amazon buys nice things for you.To all of you that are reading my review Have a very Merry and Safe Christmas and remember WHOSE birthday is celebrated on December 25.(( It's ok to sing Happy Birthday, too.You sing it to your kids so why not to the Lord?))

I have the e-z track already and these extensions worked great. You don't have to deal with bedrolls and uneven floors as much, the only downside is that the plastic track bed transfers more track noise to the material below, so I still put track roll under the plastic.

Monster High - Paper Tablecover Party Accessory

Monster High - Paper Tablecover Party AccessoryThis is made from a thin crepe paper type of material not plastic/vinyl. The paper may be coated but a spilled drink did soak through. But the paper does feel better than vinyl so I treat it as more of a decoration for a table rather than protection.

It doesn't rip easily when unfolding so it is durable. The print/pattern is bright and nicely detailed. The underside is also patterned. It did fit a rectangle table with 8 kids (2 at each ends) so it is a decent size.

My daughter is in the stage of being in love with monster high so we had it as the theme for her birthday party. The table we used for display and serving was actually smaller than what this would cover so we cut it and covered 2 tables.

She actually didn't have any candles at all on her cake this year cause I thought I had just forgotten to get any & all the others we have left over from other parties were packed up in a box. The look so very cute though!!!

Big Top Circus Tent- Indoor/Outdoor Collapsible Play Tent

Big Top Circus Tent- Indoor/Outdoor Collapsible Play TentDo not purchase this tent. It came with only three (not four) loops for the tent sticks, so I had to sew on a fourth one. One of the tent sticks cracked and I had to put black duct tape around it to protect my kids from splinters. Then, all four of the sticks went through the bottom fabric. This was ALL BEFORE my three year old got in it. It's worthless. Don't waste your money.

I bought this tent to replace another round circus tent that we have had for the last 6 years. The first week that we had this new tent, the place where the poles go into the slots on the bottom ripped at the end of every pole!So now the tent is ripped in several places where the poles end. What a piece of junk.It didn't even last a few days.My kids were not even rough with it or anything; it is simply made of defective materials.DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.You will certainly be disappointed.

This is the same tent that is sold at Ikea for 19.99. The one I own is sturdy and my kids have a blast playing in it. So far they've been pretty gentle with it so no rips, tears or breaks to speak of. We have it set up in a corner with some pillows insideits their reading space and a place to hang out either together or alone. It's a nice tent IMO and am suprised to see so many had problems with it :/

He loves the pictures on the tent, they make him giggle each time I put him in there. Easy to assemble and super fast delivery!!

Fisher-Price Potty time Elmo

Fisher-Price Potty time ElmoI bought this toy for my "almost-ready-to-potty-train" daughter hoping it would give her a gentle nudge. She loves Elmo and I thought it would keep her interest. The doll itself is cute and the sounds and comments he makes are cute but whatever sensor is in him to let him know he's on the potty are waaaaaay too exact for a potty-training toddler. My daughter has been saddened several times when she takes Elmo to the potty and sits him down only to be told that its too late. The doll itself doesn't sit well enough on the potty to have a sensor that exact. Perhaps the MOST disappointing factor of this toy is that it said it came with the Potty Elmo DVD when, in fact, it only comes with a "highlights" DVD. I bought this for the DVD and the doll and potty were bonus. Instead, I ended up with a doll that frustrates my toddler and a 15 minute sampler of the DVD I actually wanted.

We bought this for our daughter for Easter she played with it alot she enjoys giving Elmo his milk and taking the underwear on and off. However the potty that he comes with is very small and very heard even for me to keep him balanced on it, they need to make the potty bigger for him to sit on. I like how if Elmo doesnt get to the potty he will comment that accidents happen. The DVD only has clips of the Elmo goes potty movie. But is short enough my two year old will watch parts of it. Overall she likes the toy.

My son loves Elmo. My mom bought him this to help him with his potty training however Elmo doesn't sit well on the potty. It's too small. Plus even when you put him on the potty he sometimes says "oops elmo didn't get to the potty". My son still likes it because he loves elmo but he can't use it for it's intended purpose.

Want Fisher-Price Potty time Elmo Discount?

I thought this toy sounded so great, but reality is it isn't so great. Hard for Elmo to sit on the toilet. Hard for my daughter to give Elmo his drink she tries putting it to his mouth and he keeps complaining about being thirsty so she ends up losing interest. I'd say it's a fine toy if I had paid $20, but given I didn't I wouldn't purchase it again.

Chuggington Interactive All Around Railway Set

Chuggington Interactive All Around Railway SetMy son got this train set for his 3rd Birthday. He is a HUGE Chuggington fan. There are some very nice things about this set, and some not so nice things.

On the plus side, the trains and the larger elements (train shed, crane, gate) are all battery operated, and have some sort of proximity sensor. When they get near each other, interesting things happen. Each item has a few different pre-recorded sounds and phrases. When Wilson gets near Action Chugger, for example, they might say hi to each other.

The recognition of the toys for each other is a cool feature, and my son absolutely LOVES it!

On the other hand, the track is a bit of a pain. The snap connection for the tracks is a little hard to figure out, though shockingly my 3 year old son is able to put them together (though not take them apart). There's an elevated corkscrew which is a great idea, but the supports aren't solid enough (in terms of their connections to other pieces) to hold up to play, the pieces kept coming apart for us and having to be put back together.

The plastic train cars have some nice detail to them. However they have a ball-and-socket style joiner which you snap together, which I really don't like. There are other age-appropriate trains which have magnetic couplings which I think are much friendlier.

All in all, if you have sixty dollars you want to spend on train toys, I might encourage you to take a closer look at other options.

Pro:

Neat sensors in major pieces detect other pieces / trains and say appropriate phrases

Nice details on the trains and some of the other pieces

Individual pieces seem sturdy enough

Con:

Track is a bit hard to assemble / disassemble sections

The elevated section doesn't seem to stay assembled well during play

I personaly don't like the ball-and-socket style couplings used on the trains.

This was the first Chuggington set we purchased when it first came out in the US earlier this year.My son LOVES his Chuggington set and owns all of the trains and a few more of the packs so when connected it takes up most of our living room floor. He plays with it 3 4 times a week, which is pretty good for him.At first (around 2.5 years old) he had a hard time connected the track pieces and we contemplated buying some wooden track.Just as I did, I noticed he was able to put the flat peices together on his own so I returned the wooden tracks which are WAY more expensive. Now at 3 years old he is able to lay the track as he wants, but does need help with the elevated portions. The braces for the corkscrew portion could be better, but it does work.I would highly reccomend this set even with its drawbacks. My son loves to play with his trains and thinks it is so cool that they talk to each other and the interact with the train stops.

Do not buy this toy. It's frustrating to put together. It is so poorly made, the tracks don't stay connected very well. They run on Thomas tracks so buy the trains individually. Otherwise it's not worth the money. I found the same starter set at Target for 39.99.

PROS: Totally interactive. My son *is* a fan of moving the train by himself, so this isn't an issue. He gets excited when he hears the phrases and music. It promotes his imagination in that regard and he develops story lines with the trains. I haven't seen him do that with his other sets.

CONS: The trains snap onto the carts and eachother with a plastic ball (not the magnet) this is actually kind of tough to snap and unsnap and frustrates my son.

The plastic track pieces are on the flimsy side and are not easy to snap into place. It took me a while (reading the directions and looking at the box) to figure how to rig up the twisty ramp, which isn't all that stable especially when you have a kid pushing a train along...But when you move away from wood to plastic all of them seem cheaper by comparison.

Recommendation: On clearance, this set is a steal. I would definitely consider giving this one as a gift to a child aged 2-3 in the "pre-motorized" age group as the trains must be moved manually.

This set has three "stops" (most seem to have one or none) and my son stops his train to play at all three. He likes to put the trains to bed and wake them up at the roundhouse. He loads the carts at the loading dock trying to use the pincher and get them to drop into place really allow him to practice dexterity. And he even likes the station at the top of the ramp because he can close the gate on them and not let the train pass. I like that he is engaged and that the phrases encourage him to stop and "do something" at the different zones. It is also nice because he doesn't miss out on having someone else play with him or help direct his play because of the interactive nature of the toy.

We have the famous blue train and my son has fun with that because he can make his own tracks the wooden pieces are easy for him to place, but he loses interest after the set is up on his table for a few days. We have the "cars" track which my son loves because he can race all his favorite characters from the movie along the track by remote control but this requires help from mommy or daddy and isn't something he can do by himself at 2 and a half years old. I think this Chuggington set supplements what we already have and is really in its own class.

I will caution like all other train sets to enhance play (ie. keep it interesting) you will likely have to shell out more money to buy the other trains and to add "stations" (like the rock quarry, etc.) However, that said, all sets seem to grow and the components for interactive Chuggington can be bought at discount stores for a lot less than the "blue" wooden one.

UPDATE: I have found lots of other engines and the quarry and chug wash at Marshalls, so keep an eye out in discount stores for reduced price add-ons. Also, we've had the set up and down at least three times since we purchased it in April and thus far it has held up really well. Usually after a few weeks when the interest has sort of slumped, we switch out the track on the train table but I noticed my son keeps pulling the engines out to make a long train stretch across his room, so I definitely feel the other trains are a good investment.

This set consists of 4 major components: The roundhouse with interactive Vee, interactive Wilson which adds some value to an expensive set, a bi-level loop with elevated pickup point, and a crane station. While overall the set is enjoyable, there are some major flaws: Interactive Vee, while impressive in many ways such as the lighted voice loop, has a somewhat limited vocabulary for the center piece unit of the set.The US voice of Vee pails by comparison to her UK counterpart, and the overall voice acting is poor. The major loop feature, while interesting, is very unstable and requires constant repair by an adult in order for play to continue unabated. It would have been a simple fix to make a stable single base for all the elements of the loop.Home hobbyists can correct this oversight with sheet of hard plastic and some epoxy resin. The pickup station at the top of the loop, while appreciated, is simple and unexciting. The crane lacks a joint to make it mobile enough for enjoyable use and Vee interacts with the crane poorly. The tracks themselves are not pretty, but have some give which makes them forgiving for toddler use.The roundhouse, other than the Vee voice, is inferior to the die-cast set in that it lacks bay doors and only has 3 bays. The Vee figure does not "snap tight" to the roundhouse and is constantly falling over.

Fortunately, it is still possible to have a 5-star experience with this set by also buying the interactive Chug wash set. That adds a washer that interacts beautifully with Vee, and a fill up station that also interacts very well with Vee.It also doesn't hurt to buy lots of box cars to go along with your favorite engines. The sum of the Train depot and Chugwash sets are greater than their individual parts, and this is definitely by design.Be prepared to fork out the big bucks for some grade A fun.My 3-year-old played with the set all day long and I could overlook the short cominings of the set because of that.

Update: The interactive feature is nice but the track mostly sits there after about a week. For longer interest consider whether you would be more happy with a wooden train set and table.I upgraded to wooden and sorta wish I had this money to use to buy all the cool wood sets out there, but on the other hand I would have never known until I owned. We did get thier interest back by making the set into a simple loop on tiny coffee table, and getting rid of all the elevated parts.Simple is better!

The train table braced the old Chuggington set nicely, and it no longer collapses during play.My 3-year old spotted a brio starter forest set at TOyz R Us and I picked it up for 14 dollars. He played with it by flashlight. It was Christmas all over again.

Suprise discovery: The interactive trains ride on the starter Brewster/Wilson wooden railway.Traintastic!

Problems with line from speed control to track, Bachmann sent replacement in time for Christmas. They need to beef up line from speed control to track and the connecter to the track. This train is big and colorful. It is based on the Bachmann Big Hauler series of trains, whose slogan used to be "Any bigger and you'd have to buy a ticket." In spite of the Christmas lettering, the locomotive pulling this train is an accurate model of a Baldwin locomotive that ran on many American railroads between 70 and 140 years ago.

The Bachmann company provides excellent service and a wide range of accessories. This train is also made to run outside if you want, but the track isn't.

We bought this train as an upgrade for around the tree.Wire connector to track to power train defective. After 17 phone calls, two separate faxing of recent receipt, once sending the same defective part, and getting interrogated as if I was guilty of something, we finally received the correct 50 cent piece a few days before Christmas. He said "we have to interrogate you like that" and he did it on two separate days.Took four weeks of negativism from Billy and Cynthia to finally get train going only to find that it has trouble staying on the track. This is the first time I have ever reviewed a product despite years of buying items online.

This train is great, works great and the track is easy to work with and the set is large enough for old eyes to see. Would have been great if it had a whistle...but it looks neat coming out from under the tree.

Martin Kilpatrick Standard Net Set

Martin Kilpatrick Standard Net SetThis is a very good, inexpensive net that works well. Be aware that the net overhangs the table, and the brackets connect to the table several inches inside the end of the net. That means that the length of the net does not tell you how far apart the brackets connect to the table. Subtract several inches from the length of the net to get the length of how far apart the brackets connect to the table. If you have an older massive table, like I do, you may have to cut a notch in the table to get the brackets to connect. It was worth the small hassle for the price of this net. For most folks, this net is proabably a perfect size. There is also a string that you tighten to add tension to the top of the net.

VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet- Pink

VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet- PinkHOW ARE INNOTAB 2 AND INNOTAB 2S THE SAME?

If you're already familiar with InnoTab 2 you're basically looking at the same tablet. The design stays the same, with all of the keys in the same place. The only addition is the WiFi key, which tells you if the tablet is connected to the internet, and how strong your connection is (a four bar display).

Included Apps are the same.

VTech still decided not to include the rope for the stylus. In the manual they call it a "Wrist Strap Fastener" (Note: not included). But it's clearly not a wrist strap fastener, because the stylus has a rope loop hole in it, and the tablet has a hole in it right beside the stylus. The website even states it has a "stylus with hole for string." My husband thinks VTech doesn't want the liability of a child wrapping their neck in the rope, and put the responsibility on the parent to get the strap themselves; it certainly seems that way.

HOW ARE INNOTAB 2 AND INNOTAB 2S DIFFERENT?

Some people like to creatively take the tablets out of the box for setup before handing to a child as a gift. InnoTab 2 is a bit of a challenge; just use sharp scissors to break the tape and foldout the box carefully. InnoTab 2S, I am happy to report, is the easiest of them all! The tablet just slides out the top in a plastic covering; no tape, or attachments cut into the box. You simply pop the tablet out of the molded plastic, and there you have it! I feel like someone at VTech heard parent's frustration and decided to fix this... thank you!

The big difference with InnoTab 2S is the new wireless capability; but don't imagine browser capability. The WiFi is simply used for downloading apps from VTech's website. Your child can make wish lists with the Wish List app on their tablet; my son is only 3, so he's not using that feature... yet. Downloading apps is easy, but you don't purchase them off the tablet itself (that's good new, otherwise imagine all the apps your child might "accidently" buy). You purchase them off your computer, tablet, or phone (I haven't used that feature yet).

The look of InnoTab 2S is basically the same, but I enjoy the bold black inlay over the previous grey and pink choices. I think this way it looks more like quality hardware and less of a toy (that's just my preference, my son doesn't care). Oddly, the one I have is considered blue because of the color of the back, not the front, which is white. Even the rubber sides are grey, unlike the pink one which actually has more pink on it. I think the "blue" is less gender specific because the back looks more dark purple; something to think about for parents who need to share this tablet between genders.

Finger swiping on the InnoTab 2, my son was having problems with the tablet thinking he was selecting an app, which would cause it to load. With InnoTab 2S the opposite has occurred; now the tablet wants to swipe to the next page and not open the app. At 3, my son prefers using his finger, but the InnoTab 2S works best with a stylus and opens apps perfectly that way. This is a bit of a downer, but workable.

OVERALL REVIEW?

It pains me, because I really want to like the InnoTab 2S, but it has one big flaw that hasn't been fixed it's *still* s-l-o-w. InnoTab 2S takes 43 seconds to reach the app home screen. The InnoTab 2 took 37 seconds; we shouldn't be regressing here (I should mention, the LeapPad2 takes 21 seconds!). It takes InnoTab 2S a solid 8 seconds to open an app. I said it before, and I'll say it again, there's a lot of "loading" (read: waiting) going on with the InnoTab 2S, and it makes a difference to me.

Another thing I had a bit of an issue with is videos. The InnoTab 2S comes with the same memory as the InnoTab 2 (2GB). You can add an SD card to expand up to 32GB; that's a big plus, but I've never needed it with my son. This time I wanted to upload videos for him to watch. So I put a 16MB SD Card, that came with an old camera we purchased, into the tablet. Putting the SD Card in was easy. The slot is in the battery compartment; you'll need to remove the batteries. This is a nice touch, in a way, because my son can't get to it and loose it. But can I just say that getting the SD Card out is a pain!!!! Horrible design. My son can probably get it out easier than I can. My husband? No chance. It doesn't have the push-eject feature, so you have to extract it out with small fingers, or tweezers! VTech if you're reading this, please fix this.

Afterwards I plugged in the InnoTab using the USB cord to my PC, and pulled up an LLL file on the card. In that file you transfer your converted video, photos, music (supports JPEG formatted photos, and MJPEG/H.264 videos (avi)). Sadly, there wasn't much I could put on a 16 MB disk. BUT, it was really easy to transfer everything and find them on the tablet. The video was of decent quality with playback options. Unfortunately, I'm not willing (read: lack the time) to convert movies for use on the InnoTab when I already have them converted for the iPad. But, if this is a feature you like and want to use, you'll enjoy it! Also, as an MP3 player the sound quality is decent, not a lot of distortion.

So which do I recommend?

Either. The WiFi is a nice touch, but not necessary. And there are no big changes between the two, except the InnoTab 2S appears slower, and the color change.

In case you don't want to go looking for the reviews on the VTech InnoTab 2 Learning App Tablet White, which is the same, here are some things you might find helpful:

Screen size (2 ½" x 4 ½"), or 5" if you're measuring diagonally.

Require 4 AA batteries (not included).

Uses a stylus (comes with two).

Has a cartridge port for additional games and uses purchased apps.

3-9 year age requirement.

Swivel camera.

Can buy additional accessories like screen guard, cases, rechargeable batteries, ac adapters, and headphones.

Personalize for up to 4 players, plus 1 guest.

Has an eReader, MP3 Players, art studio, calculator, calendar, notes, clock, and most of your basic themed books and games.

Has a mic and volume control.

Parent tracker that allows parents to track their child's progress and success playing a game.

Rubber corners to help protect it from a fall.

Battery compartment is easily accessible, just slide a switch and it opens the compartment. This is where the SD Card slot is found.

2GB of memory, but can add an additional 32GB of memory with SD Card (not included). I've found 2GB is more than enough for our needs.

Can be played right away (just add batteries, not included). Need to spend less than 5 minutes setting up the tablet date, time, and personalization.

InnoTab has a tilt sensor like an iPad or iPhone and will tilt the screen if held horizontal or vertical.

Has buttons for brightening or dimming the screen, but don't expect much, there's only four bars and it doesn't make a lot of difference.

Has a "?" button that allows you to hear instructions again, or find out more information about an app (nice touch!). The InnoTab itself tends to repeat things all the time (it's a bit annoying). The tablet doesn't ever sit quietly when turned on and not touched, it constantly wants to talk to you; you'll need to turn the volume off.

Comes with manual.

Internal "kickstand" for standing the tablet up vertically or horizontal.

Plays converted videos. Quality isn't like an iPad or iPhone, but little kids won't mind.

()I love this. It helps the little ones to learn and play so easily with the big buttons to decide what they want to do and the touchscreen is fantastic. the stylus is not attached so it will probably get lost but otherwise the touch screen works very good. My grandaughter played with this and I believe she would have played thru the night if I had let her.One thing about this is you can put learning games on it and they think they are just playing games while they are really learning :)

()This kids tablet is a low cost tablet choice for the youngins, and while not bad, you get what you pay for.

The resistive 5-inch screen is of decent quality. The menus are colorful and fun looking. It takes a little more pressing down than a capacitive touch screen, like our phones, so the kids took a bit to get used to that. They included stylus helps with that. It is not very accurate for small movement (like drawing a small circle) with my finger. This also shows up also on the menu when tapping an app with my finger, sometimes it'll slide the menu instead of starting the app. Using the stylus helps with this.

While testing the screen, I opened up the art studio app, which had automatically saved what my daughter had been working on previously, so it saves progress pretty good, at least in this case.

The apps in the store are, as I write this, are on sale for $2.99, but the regular price is $4.99. It's a little high when I compare that most apps in the Android store (I'm an Android user) are free, or one or two bucks. You do get 2 free apps for signing into the PC software. There are also eBooks for $3-$5 dollars and videos, that are around 20 minutes, for $3.

The PC software is required for navigating the app store and also for tracking your kid's progress in apps and learning. I haven't had the chance to test all the tracking features yet.

On the tablet is a wish list creator where you child can browse apps and let you know which they want.

The tablet itself hives off the setup features decently, but if your kid can read and/or is clever, they can get into them.

One of the features is a content lock which isn't a restriction system to prevent content (which shouldn't be needed) but instead it prevents deleting content.

One thing I could not discover is how to delete a profile. There is also no way I can see to disable making new profiles. This could mess with all the tracking, if they are making new profiles and playing on them instead of the one they are supposed to.

Any big issue with a tablet is battery life. In a nutshell, it's really great for battery makers. Batteries die daily. But, you can use a 7.5v adapter (not a charger) to keep the tablet powered (needs batteries installed to work), but you will have to be next to an outlet to use the device. Great for knowing where your kid is, bad for taking it on a trip. VTech sells an adapter for a fair price. I'd rather they sell a battery pack that can be charged, but at this time, they don't.

Overall, for a hundred bucks, I'm not sure this is worth it. You could save up for a $200 Nexus 7 or a $159 Kindle Fire and have a lot more options, and a better experience (I don't have either, but I know you could easily set up an Android device to be kid friendly.

I'm a bit of a tech geek and sci-fi visionary, so I see things sometimes for what they could be, and the InnoTab 2s could be a lot better, but probably at a higher price.

It's not bad, and there's a good chance you kid wont mind a lot of the things that bother me. If money is the issue, it's a low price tablet designed for kids. If you have money to spare (or enjoy having credit card debt) I suggest you do a little more research at other options before buying this one for your child(ren).

I never write reviews but this warrants one. I researched this to death and was so sure I had gotten the right thing for my daughters 5th birthday. I chose it over the leapfrog tablet because of the wifi. The wifi doesn't work when downloading ebooks. You still have to use the cable. The wifi sucks up a lot of the battery power and is painfully slow. You have to install software to download anything and you have to use a computer to download to the innotab. This makes having wifi pointless. The software is soooooooo slow to connect. I just spent 30 minutes just trying to download some new games to the innotab but it didn't work at all. My daughter was drain.

()My nine year old and I have been exploring what we can do with the VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet.First, the product is easy to set up but a little time consuming.Don't wait until Christmas morning. You need to load the learning lodge navigator on your PC.That seemed to take a lot longer than installing things usually does. The front of the box boasts 17 apps with the purchase of the Innotab. You have to log on to get them.I wasn't very excited about many of them.I can't figure out what the point of WiFi is on this. You need either the cartridges or you can try to load apps on but we used a cable because the wifi was too slow. The wish list feature is really annoying.I don't really want to get lists of things to buy.And speaking of buying things, the cartridges are $12-$17.That is a lot more than a book or a movie. The one thing that I was interested in was the Vtech University. However when I went into the Learning Lodge it says Vtech University is coming soon for the VTech InnoTab 2S Wi-Fi Learning App Tablet. That was a little frustrating.

So really for an older kid, this isn't a very exciting product.I wouldn't recommend it beyond age 7.I think she will enjoy the mp3 player and the ability to take video.I don't see us using it much beyond that.I do wish that the reader let me add books from public domain or the other ebooks I have already purchased.

Place Setting Placemat

Place Setting PlacematVery sturdy and doesn't curl. My almost three year old pays better attention because we talk to him about where things go on his placemat.

This is a good placemat to help younger children learn to set the table.

I took off one star for durability. If bent, these mats will crease. I can't see it lasting years (or through a destructive child), but it's well worth the price for us!

Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway - Sodor Bay Bridge Learning Curve

Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway - Sodor Bay Bridge Learning CurveStarting around age 2 the "World of Thomas" and his train friends became the biggest part of my son's days of play. If you are as deep into Thomas as my family is then the Sodor Bay Bridge is a must have. Hours and hours are spend pushing the toy trains over and under the bridge. Your first three starter purchases should be the trains, the tracks and then this bridge.Good Luck it is an expensive "world" your getting into!!!

We have tons of Thomas wooden railway pieces.I can tell you that this is the one we use in every layout we build. It adds height ands is easy to fit into your layout.Sturdy and colorful too.I like to use it with the arched viaduct for a sturdy raised track that doesnt fall over.

This bridge is worth every penny.I bought this bridge online (not from amazon.com) and the description said that it didn't come with ascending tracks, so I bought ascending tracks separately.Well, it turns out that the bridge actually *did* come with a pair of ascending tracks! Also, I bought a male-to-male connector separately because I thought that the 2 bridge pieces could not connect directly to one another, to form one long bridge once I got the bridge, though, I found that you *can* actually connect the 2 bridge pieces together without using a separate connector..all you have to do is remove one of the supporting blocks (underneath the track) from one of the bridge ends. Each bridge has removable supporting blocks on both ends, so there's a ton of configurations you can come up with.If you have ascending track risers (which do *not* come with the bridge), you can connect the bridges with regular straight track

This set is such a nice idea in theory, and boy was my kid excited to get it.And then the disappointments began, once broken toy after the other. Some of the parts weren't even glued together, I could just pull them apart, with no real effort.Little lenses went flying, eye pieces fell to the floor, the door to the film compartment of the camera won't close. So far the only part that hasn't broken 4 days after Christmas is the compass. My kids have lots of toys, and they have lasted them years. This one didn't make it one week.

Northwest Enterprises Hard Plastic Table Cover Clips, Clear, 100 Count

Northwest Enterprises Hard Plastic Table Cover Clips, Clear, 100 CountI purchased these for a local Children's Fair my office ran.We covered the tables with colored plastic sheeting held on by four of these little clips per table. Not one clip broke. I live in one of the windiest areas of the country and every clip held throughout the entire day!! We gathered them all up and packed them away for next year!! Wonderful bargain!

Even though the description says will work on any table, make sure when you buy these that the table you want to use it on is 1 inch thick or less. These did not work on the tables I needed it for.But if your table is thinner then what I needed it for, these would work great for you.

Disney 12' Dumbo Plush DollIt was what I wanted and it got there on time, very happy with the product and the service. Would use them again

This doll looks great and is built well. It came Dec 23, in a soft durable plain brown bag that fit in my large mail box. My only issue is that I paid for expedited delivery, as per their menu choice, but it took 12 or 13 days to come. (What a rip off) If you are buying it for a b-day etc, order really early.
