This light is blue!Definate Blue color to the light this produces.The light does not cover any but a small portion of my desk.I put it on a tilting drawing table and it will not stay in place, it swings down, because there is no way to secure it at its base swivel.It also comes crashing down unexpectedly at a light bump.This is when the table is angled.The little tightening knobs are too hard to turn with my fingers. Plastic construction around the light and magnifier but the magnifier itself is not bad.The blue light is definately very bad for doing artwork at my table.

I bought this because I was intrigued by the use of LEDs instead of Flourescent light.You can get a flourescent one for half what I paid for this which will be better constructed and produce more light.

it's so awkward, the clamp sucks.the whole contraption just goes into a thin hole in the clamp.the cover on the lens is floppy.it isn't even bright!save your money.this thing sucks!

Verry unhappy with this light the 90 LED light is a joke very dim, the cover won't stay open when you want to use the magnifier lense, and the lens is junk too. You can only focus in the very center of the lens.

This lamp is exactly as described. The light is white/blue that is the nature of the cool led light (there are warm led lights you have to aelect a lower lumen number if you want warm golden light similar to a regular light bulb. I use both types, bright white is preferred for some hobbie applications)Strong construction, adjustable and easily lockable and hold position. The LED lights give an even bright white illumination. Not as bright as a Halogen light, but LED lights do not get hot, so advantage to not get burned adjusting lamp, but a little less brightness than halogen.

The magnifier is excellent 5x and its a Large size lens. (i found the 5x lens was too strong for me to work with a sewing machine, the placement made images too large to work with for long periods....but 5x would obviously be desiredl for other application that require high magnification. I just had no reference to what 5x "looked like" and found after getting another magnifier that 3x works best for me at the sewing machine for long times without making my eyes tired) that doesn't reflect badly on the lamp.....I would definitely recommend it for other uses. If you want 5x and bright/blue'ish/cool colored light is what you need for your use.

Looks exactly like picture. May not blend in with elegant room decor but is not ugly. The design is efficient and practical, not Philippe Stark stylish. I did take off the plastic cover over the lens, it didn't stay open at an angle and kept closing. Not smart design. But it easily pops out and I kept it off when testing it out.

Do you research and learn the differences in the new LED lights and the quality and "color" of light they emit. I use bright LED dimmable strip lights in under kitchen areas and use the "warm" LED's in rooms of my house for a more flattering light, easier on the skin and eye.
