To get a PURRING sound, you must push the tummy like that of a Dog Toy.The little blanket that comes with this item is so soft and I feel baby will like it, but WWWWAAAYYYYY overpriced!!!I ONLY purchsed this b/c it was exactly what the mother to be wanted.Otherwise, I would have found it elsewhere. Amazon usually has the best price, but not in this case.Overall, I would MAYBE buy it again, but that decision is solely based on the price paid. Seems to be a nice product overall.
My grandson loves this lion.The purring mechanism is a little difficult for little hands.But a good sleepy-time friend for a new big brother, learning to help care for a baby!
