I was originally dismayed that this was in 4 pieces but with minimal triming and effort it went together very nicely !!!
This is a 3 part model consisting of a metal hull sandwiched between 2 resin superstructures. The resin parts are very crisp and cleanly modeled, while the metal has its innate limitations. Overall the quality of the model is okay, but not as crisp or clean in detail as the other ship models in this particular line. It comes unassembled and unpainted (which is what you should expect), so I guess you can consider the ship to have suffered some horrendous battle damage in the metal sections! Its also a relatively heavy model so recommend using a metal flight post instead of the included acrylic. Overall 4 stars for price and general quality. Would have liked to have seen an all resin model that is crisp in detail throughout.
