Made in China (where else!) but physically attractive magnetic chess set with board and pieces. Durability is always a question. Chess pieces come in small plastic boxes that will not stay closed, so you may want to find an alternative for holding and carrying them. The board is a good size but small enough to slip into a backpack.
I'd looked at several of these, bought a couple inexpensive ones, and been frustrated at the cheap plastic, the general lack of quality.This set is and looks just as the picture shows.Rich wood colors, quality throughout, and they even include two plastic boxes, one to hold each color of pieces.I couldn't be more pleased.
