Desktop Chip Shotz Golf
We keep this on a desk in one of our empty cubes. We set up different course configurations each day and keep track of our scores. Our team of about 10 people loves the competition and the break from the daily grind for five minutes to play golf. Love this!

Bought this for my 8 year old to play with his grandpa while they were visiting.Very, very cute.Even my 2 year old plays with it and can somewhat attempt to get a shot in the hole (which is not really a hole, but a black magnet)Unsure the durability, but it seems rather durable, great price i got it for, i can't complain!I bought this for some co-workers as gifts and they love this! Every item, including trees, sandtrap, and water hazard is made of metal, so the ball sticks to them very well. The build of the golfer guy is high quality, and the winging motion is very easy and smooth. The possibilities are endless as you can set up the hole any way you choose. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!Great.Kids enjoyed the product.Quick shipping.Smooth transaction.I would do business with this vendor again. However I am not thrilled about the way the reviews are set up since my time is valuable and that is why I use the convenience of shopping on line.Dinosaur Train - Underwater Sea Adventure
In addition to the cheap quality of the materials, the set has some noteworthy design flaws. The first car (locomotive) has four axles, making it too long to negotiate the curves on the track without rubbing on the sides. This causes the train to derail pretty frequently. After removing the rear wheels, it worked fine.
Another design flaw: each train car has little pegs on the floor to secure the dinosaurs, who each have one foot with a hole in the bottom. However, because Laura Giganotosaurus is so long, all three dinosaurs cannot ride the train at the same time (not on the pegs, anyway). And, because the footholes are smaller than the pegs, It can be a little frustrating trying to get the dinosaurs on the pegs.
The best parts about this set is the characters themselves. They appear to be unbreakable, and my daughter likes them much more than the train. In hindsight, we should have bought a couple of the three-packs of the characters and let them ride on our Fisher Price Geotrax set, which is more durable and better designed.
If you find this at a rummage sale for $5, I say go for it -although I'd be surprised if you found a used set that wasn't broken or missing parts. However, I do not at all recommend this for any price over $5, certainly not the $30 or so that we paid for it.My son loves this toy. The characters are cute we bought him the whole set. They look just like they are supposed to. They are made of a sold plastic. I cannot imagine them breaking. Like the other reviewers, the hole on the bottom of the feet of the dinosaurs is hard to use. I assume as they use the toy the holes will get bigger and easier to use, but eventually will get to big to work. The largest flaw is that the motor on the train is not strong enough to pull the additional trains, and the train often derails when going around the track. I am sure this will be improved in time. The set is cute. If your child is willing to look past the motor, and push the train around, then I would recommend buying it. My son loves dinosaur train, and is loving having the characters at home with him.

The train is exactly described, but it will not pull extra cars and barely pulls the ones that come in the package around curves. Plus you are not getting a great deal on a great product; you are getting a cheap product for a cheap price. It is cute and the characters look like themselves, but I just would have bought the extra cars and figures and not wasted money on the train.

I would like everyone to consider this is a first generation of this toy. If it is around as long as the Thomas and friends motorized sets I am sure it could get better. The main design flaws are the foot pegs to hold the dinosaurs and the train itself. In regards to the pegs, they are hard to use. Each Dino needed a hole on each foot also the pegs needed to be a little farther away from the train car sides. It is hard to get certain characters on to the foot pegs which makes the car fairly unusable. As for the train itself, it does not negotiate the track well. As another reviewersaid the train has a tendency to derail on curves. If the drive wheels had been more the rear of the engine car that most likely would have solved the issue. There is a reason why on real trains the main drive wheels are the back wheels. My son does enjoy this toy despite its flaws.

I actually was searching for more track for this train so that should tell you my opinion right off the bat. Please note: as others have mentioned, there are TWO versions of this train set. One set is orange in color (orange track, engine, car trim etc) while the other is purple/green (green track, purple engine, car trim etc).My wife bought the orange and as I browsed Target one afternoon, I happened across the purple version. My kid loves this so I purchased the purple as well.
The two Engines are worlds a part. I call one speedy and the other Hercules; the two Engines are almost identical save for a few key points.Speedy, the orange colored Engine is front wheel drive and is very fast around the track on fresh batteries and withonly 0 2 cars. Hercules, purple in color, is a 4 wheel drive work horse.Speedy with fresh batteries can slowly pull about 4 5 cars but the wheels spin and the Engine struggles to making it around. Hercules on the other hand can easily pull 5 cars but at a slow pace. Curious just how much power this little Engine that could had, not only did I attached 5 cars to Hercules but I began lining up hot wheels in front. The purple Engine not only pulled the 5 cars but it was also able to push about 7 or 8 hot wheel cars in front. This Engine must be a newer model and is clearly better engineered but it sacrifices speed for horse power.Hercules also sports some sort of hard rubber on the wheels which allow it to better grip the track. Speedy only wheels are just plastic as far as I can tell. For these reasons, If I was going to buy again, I would purchase the purple engine and I recommend you do the same.
Let's face it, the train is cheap but what are you expecting for $30.00?The track is going to be put together and ripped apart numerous times so wear and tear on the track is going to cause it to come apart easier with use.My kid loves it and I love to be able to pass my love of trains to him even at a small age. Every time I take it out he smiles and we play with it for a couple hours and that's worth $30.00 to me. Sure there are issues but you get that with just about every toy.
Crayola Tabletop Portfolio Style Easel
Now, the easel itself ia very basic and while it is constructed to be easily adapted into a standing Easel, it's best functionailty is as a desk-top or even a lap-top center of creativity for young artists. The flaps each have detachable pockets. On the left are the Dry Erase "crayons"which mimic the look of a crayon but are just dry erase markers. These are for use on either the White Dry Erase Surface or the Black Dry Erase surface which are both included with the Easel. The Black & White surfaces for the dry Earase "Crayons" are opposite sides of the same Dry Erase boards. You just flip it over and Voila! That's a nice, space-saving feature. The right Flap of the Easel contains Ten Crayola Super Tip Markers but these are intended ONLYfor use on paper that you might clip to the Easel and NOT for use on either Dry Erase Surface included. Keep that in mind!it's an important detail to convey to your child. You don't want those Dry Erase 'Crayons" getting ruined too quickly and having a sad-faced youngster asking "what happened?", do ya?One real postive feature I like is the sturdy handle at the top of the Easel that's good for young hands to grasp.I can see thisEeaslel quickly becoming a must-have item for doodling in the car whilst stuck in traffic or on long rides.
The Crayola Tabletop Portfolio Style Easel is a clever little item that provides a sturdy work surface.Your own little Artist can use the tools already in the kit or provide their own.Whatever floats their boat! The single most useful aspect is it's adaptible nature and portability. So long as your kid is not the Samsonite Luggage Gorilla, tossing this thing at trees & crocodiles, I'd bet that this will be a welcome addition to their blossoming Crayola universe of tools and other art toys!
New info: We've been using this mostly in the car and keeping it in the backseet organizer. It often gets ported inside to another kids' house and even with all that use, I haven't seen any major damage but I am worried about the flap hinges staying intact long-term.However, considering the price, even if I had not been given this for free to test, I'd be satisfied if this Art Toy (which runs in the $23 range ) provided good, continuous use and interest for 6 months of heavy usage in the car and outside the home. For our Playroom, we have a much sturdier set-up that we expect to last well into the teen-years!This is a nifty "keep 'em busy" art toy that every parent and granbdparent ought to have in the backseat of their cars.
()There are some good things about this product and some things that really need improvement.
Pros:
* The novelty of having the art on an easel was pretty exciting for my 3 year old. She has used this a lot more than she would if the paper were just flat on the table.
* It's nice to have a portable dry erase board.
* It comes with dry erase crayons, eraser, markers and paper
* It folds up nicely and is quite portable
Cons:
* The markers are not washable. Why oh why would they put regular markers in the same package as a dry erase board. My 3 year old REALLY wanted to use those markers on the dry erase side. I finally just took them away. The Crayola washable markers do actually come off the dry erase okay. We're doing a little better with the markers on the paper, crayons on the board idea, but it's hard.
* The thing itself can be a little flimsy and topple over.
* The clips that hold the paper in are impossible for a small child to use. When my daughter needs a fresh sheet of paper, I need to help her.
* There is a black side to the dry erase board, which is cool, but the crayons (except yellow) don't show up on the black side.
* I think the price is a little steep for what you get, I think. I'd prefer an under 20 pricepoint.
Overall, it does keep my daughter busy and we can take it with if need be, but it does need a little more rethinking on Crayola's part.

()This went to my five year old daughter who likes to draw. The material is vinyl wrapped around cardboard, similar to what most school folders or "trapper keeper" style folders are made from. It does fold up nicely and set up and take down is something she can handle. If she takes care of it, it should last quite a while, but it isn't a bullet proof build by any means and I would say is just average for build quaility. It is a nice set up though and not much bigger then a standard binder type folder.
It includes a small dry board, several sheets of paper, dry board crayons, dry board erase mit, and fine tip (NON dry board markers). The easel has pockets to store the crayons, eraser, and markers. The idea is you use the crayons with the dry board (white side and black sided) and the markers with the paper. You cannot use the markers with the dry board. She is five, we talked about it several times, and she understands for now. That being said I am fully prepared for the day she forgets the talk we had and becomes distraught after ruining the dry erase board. Such is life with a kindergartner, but maybe making them dry erase markers might have been a better way to go. The only other thing is the erase mit works OK, but like most dry erase boards you can never seems to get it all off, and despite the fact that 99% of it came off very easily, that last 1% resists all efforts to scrub, scrape, and remove it.
She does like it, uses it, and it is a good fit for our needs and her age. She was very excited when she received it and I know it will be something she uses going forward.

()The Crayola Portfolio Style Easel is a portable, all-in-one drawing kit. When opened, the center sections props up into a double sided easel, for coloring with erasable crayons on the dry erase board, and opposite, for using markers on paper. When your little artists have finished their works of art, the tools slide into their own plastic sleeves, the easel folds in on itself and snaps, and the slotted handle on top makes it easy for kids to tote and stow. Our preschool grandchildren love using this kit, and also enjoy pretending it's a suitcase or briefcase. My sole concern with this product is that, being made of relatively light-weight vinyl, it remains to be seen how durable it will be. But, so far, so good, and it encourages the kids to put things away when they're through.Cool because it's portable however my three year old gets frustrated that he can't erase the dry erase board easily. You really have to put some elbow grease into it and then it still leaves behind a bit of color. All in all it's good for your lil' artist but I don't see it lasting that long because it's not very durable and is a bit chinsy .
VTech Winnie The Pooh Play 'n Learn Spinning Top
We received this item as a gift for our daughter and she enjoys it. However, one of the problems I have with this toy is that it's not the best for 6 month olds. The package says ages 6-24 months and I think an older child would enjoy it more. My daughter isn't quite sitting up yet so instead she just kind of pushes it around the room on it's side inadvertadly pushing buttons as she goes. It keeps her entertained for short periods of time. Another issue with it is that I wish it would stand upright better. It is pretty durable from my experience so far though. It took a fall from my daughter's high chair onto our carpet and still works fine.
The automatic shut off feature is nice too, no wasted batteries. The volume adjustment is a good touch as well since my daughter doesn't need to have her toys heard on the other side of the house when she's only inches away.
I'd reccomend this product to children who are closer to 12 months old.Lots of learning and fun time with this toy. Who doesn't like spinning tops and music. Is a learning tool too!!

We received this as a gift a couple years ago when our son was under 1 year I believe. He has enjoyed the music and pushing the buttons and when he got older he was able to push the top to make it spin. It's too hard to push for a baby, but maybe a 18mo+ could do it. I would usually do it for him to entertain him. I am just now getting rid of this toy at a consigment sale and it's in very good condition. Durable and holds batteries. Not sure if I ever even changed them! Son is almost 3 now.Want VTech Winnie The Pooh Play 'n Learn Spinning Top Discount?

I ordered this toy as a small decoration for my son's "Mario" themed birthday party to place on the table next to his cake.I was happy to find that it was metal and not plastic. It was well made and nice size. All the kids wanted to have one. Since I only orderd 2, they shared the candy inside. If you like Mario, and you keep Altoids tins when all the mints are gone, you should get this. This is a pretty accurate "?" block. A nice paint job with embossed question marks on the sides ensure this is a perfect knicknackfor a desk or entertainment center.
You get about as many pieces of candy as a fun size pack of Skittles or M&Ms, and personally, I think they taste great sort of like a Smartie and a SweeTart mixed together (MUCH better than the "cherry sours" that come in the Mario mushroom tins).
For a 2"x2"x2", six dollars is a little pricey, but I've seen this in stores for the exact same price. Here it has the bonus of Super Saver Shipping, though, which really made the decision easy for me, as it put me right over the amazon.com minimum eligibility price.
All-in-all, I am extremely satisfied with the product itself, but for the price, you probably want a couple extra items in your cart.

When you knock this particular block open you get many coins, these coins have a good flavor that I cannot quite figure out what it is. Also if you eat 100 of them you get a extra guy.its noteworthy that for whatever reason when I pounced the bottom of the block the coins did not come out, I had pull off the top of it and take them out manually, perhaps I did not hit it hard enough.

There's not too much you can say about a marker and this one is no exception.So...
Fiber tip.You depress it to initially start the flow of ink. After that it stays full.
The "oil-base" that is mentioned isn't oil. It's a solvent that quickly evaporates, leaving the pigment behind.I'm not sure that I'd want to spend all day in a closed room using these!
The marker housing is an aluminum tube.
Lastly, the black marker is nice and opaque.
Printed Zebra Print Table Runner Party Accessory (1 count) (1/Pkg)
Bad points The description doesn't tell what type of material the runner is made of (fabric or paper) so I was unpleasantly surprised that they were made of paper. If I had known that before ordering I would have picked something a bit more substantial. The ad didn't misrepresent the product but just omitted a bit of critical information that would have helped me greatly in making my choice.I'm still pleased with Amazon.com and will continue to order from them, but suggest that the product descriptions contain a bit more detail.I was so excited to order this table runner for my daughter's birthday party AND only 2 days shipping.BUT ... when I received the package and opened it, it was PAPER!Really disappointed! It was rolled up like a scroll!! I liked these a lot. They won't hang over your long rectangler table in your dinning room like in the picture.. bring it back a foot or so...but will still look nice. I used a white table cloth underneath and used the runner to accent the top of the table. I also sprinkled a little of silver confetti and fake rose petals to decorate on and around the runner and it worked perfectly. I was pleased... my friends think I am a diva. I love hosting parties and decorating. I would buy these again for my purposes. It's disposable and made of shiny coated paper so it doesn't break your bank. This is worth it! Nice Faux look. Study Zone II Desk & Chair - Purple
Pathfinder Battles: Lizardfolk Champion - Heroes and Monsters
The first thing that struck me is how detailed the paint job and sculpt are. The way his (or her) tail twists behind him, the scales on his arms...very well done. The pose is less impressive, as (as several reviewers have pointed out) he's holding the trident the wrong way to do damage with it. Also, the blue lips are a little too bright, and bring to mind Damodar from the D&D movie.
The main problem I have with it is that it feels a little too fragile. This is a very skinny lizard man, and I'm always concerned I might break him by mistake; unlike some of the miniatures I've seen that have stockier sculpts. In fact, when I got him, his leg had disconnected from the base, but it's nothing that careful use of superglue won't fix.
In my case, this was just the right mini to fit the niche I had (though I would have preferred a 'normal' lizardfolk to the Champion). For the price, the quality is nice, and the few shortcomings didn't break the deal for me.

LeapFrog Discovery Ball
The Discovery Ball by Leap Frog is a dual-use toy. The youngest children can spin the colorful ball around on its base to hear the music play, and older, more mobile children would enjoy chasing this sturdy ball around the floor.
What impressed me the most was it's use of what we teachers call the "cloze procedure" (I teach first grade). When the child spins the ball, it will sing the abc song. After a first singing all the way through, the ball will stop singing at a strategic point to encourage the child to spin again. What is really happening, is that the song is in the process of being memorized the young child hears part of it, and when he/she realizes that something's missing, the child physically responds to "fill in the missing gap".That's a pretty powerful response when you see it going on with a 10 month old!
All that aside, my 3 year old daughter likes to play with it, too.Her favorite part is to listen to the 3rd setting, which features 26 different classical tunes.
This toy would be a good investment for your family.

I bought this toy to keep at my house for my twin nephews a few months ago. They are 10 months old now and they love this toy! My sister-in-law even had to go buy one to keep at her house because they played with it so much. Even the older kids and adults like to play with it. I love that it has a high and low volume switch. And you can keep it on the base for younger babies who aren't crawling yet so they can sit or lay and spin it. And for the crawlers and walkers you can take it off the base so they can roll it around and chase after it. It has good sound quality and the music is enjoyable, not annoying. I've only had 2 small problems with it: the first one I bought had 3 letter buttons that did not work so I had to exchange it; and a few times the sound has become distorted, I think from getting too wet with drool, but it goes back to normal quickly when it starts to dry out. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great and educational toy!Read Best Reviews of LeapFrog Discovery Ball Here
The Discovery Ball toy is the perfect example of why reviews can be misleading to shoppers.Parents read the reviews, the particulars, and they think, "WOW, this toy is developmental, it will teach my kid the alphabet, and letter sounds. My kid'll be a genius by 2!"To be honest, had I reviewed this toy soon after my son received it, I would have given it 5-stars and gushed about its developmental qualities. However, time has proven reliable, and I have deduced after 2-years and 2-months that it is, and was insignificant to my son's development.By that, I mean the toy was of no consequence to us.The concept is first-rate, however the delivery is lacking.I mean, what kid wants to roll a ball when they can throw it?The Discovery Ball is designed for infants and toddlers, but it's probably more appropriate for preschoolers.Firstly, the buttons are too difficult for an infant to press; also, they are too close together.Secondly, it's too sensitive. For example, let's say the toy is in "music" mode and its playing Old MacDonald, if the ball is touched midstream the music will stop, and revert into 1 of the 2 very annoying intervening songs. It's like punishment, rather than play. Can I say without it sounding too harsh, "WHAT'S THE POINT?"LeapFrog should have decided long ago whether they were designing an educational tool for preschoolers, or a plaything for infants.
William received the Discovery Ball for his 1st Christmas. He was 8-months old at the time, so I took the ball off the stand so he could bat it around on the floor. He'd roll it, the lights would flash, the music would play, and he'd giggle. After a few rolls, he lost interest. The toy has a musical prompt, which occasionally got a look, but most often, he was onto something better.Soon after his 1st birthday, he discovered the ON/OFF switch. He'd sit on the floor and repeatedly turn the thing "ON" and then "OFF".It would play the ABC Song for 3-seconds, he'd slide the lever to the "OFF" position, and then back to "ON" again. It was enough to drive me nuts!He didn't care about the phonics, or even the music, all he cared about was that darn ON/OFF switch. The sound quality is good, but the woman's voice grated on my nerves after hearing 3-seconds of the ABC Song 1000-times in an afternoon.Fortunately, there is a volume control, although my son usually wants to HEAR his toys.As if the lower level isn't loud enough.UGH!Oh, and this toy is one of those irritating playthings that goes off in the toy box, if you fail to turn it "OFF".
After his 2nd birthday, William gained enough strength and proficiency to throw the ball.I suppose I should have attached it to its base right there and then, but dummy me thought he'd grow out of that phase. Later, I realized the throwing phase was here to stay, so I put the Discovery Ball back on its base.My attempts were futile, as my crafty little one figured out how to remove it a week later. The toy is sturdy, especially considering how many times it has been dropped, and thrown. We've only replaced the batteries twice, which is an event all its own.Let me just say, its not overly difficult, but more complicated than most.
The Discovery Ball can be tricky to wash.LeapFrog recommends you clean the ball with a damp cloth, but that doesn't always produce the best results. You see, the letters and musical notes that cover the surface of the ball are raised, so grime can become lodged in, and between the grooves.I've resorted to spraying Lysol on a rag and wiping it down.It doesn't completely remove the dirt, but it disinfects it, which makes me feel better.
In conclusion, the toys more annoying than enjoyable, so it collects dust, until my son finds it, and then it's transformed into a heavy, throwing ball that hurts when hit.My advice ~ avoid it.
Mary :)

From LeapFrog, this is the toy my 11 months old son loves the most.
* This toy has 2 volume sets: high and low (THANK YOU!).
* When you roll the ball, you can either hear the ABC song or other few melodies.
* If you press any of the letters, you'll hear either its name, how it sounds, or a melody.
* It also shows bright light on both sides of the alphabet, so music, colors, light and motion will capture baby's attention.
* The ball can be attached to the base for the baby's early months or can be detached from the base when the baby is "mobile".
* Sound is crystal clear.
* The materials are solid but soft, just the right texture and has bright colors.
* It helps the baby to recognize the alphabet (by name and by sound) and will enjoy many short melodies as well.
In a nutshell, a MUST buy for the learning baby.
Battlefleet Gothic 1999 Chaos Cruiser
Models are very high detail, coupled with easy assembly. Although they are MODELS so paint and glue needed to finish them off. These cruisers are a favorite of mine and come out stunning when done. I got into game by buying the models for their own merit.
Models are around 5 inches when completed.
If you enjoy these there are far more in this product line, from destroyers and frigates to some really impressive all metal battleships.
That being said, do not get ripped off. Many times these and others in the product line are listed as "out of print" or "rare" , which is utter garbage. you can get these from the maker gamesworkshop.com for around $25,even the big metal battleships are only around $50. you could by entire fleets for what some people are charging.
Barbie Dream Sofa
Um, I think I'm reading the price correctly at $70???What kind of message are we sending our kids when we spend money like that for a small plastic toy??It's not even for the whole house! Perhaps the children should be making the furniture for their houses for just a few dollars?Where is the creativity? The anticipation of finding new fabrics and doo-dads?Recycling boxes and so on?Things have sure changed a lot since I was a little girl in love with fashion dolls. And don't get me wrong, I got Barbie stuff a lot as a kid, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't NEAR $70 for a sofa and coffee table.Whew, thanks for letting me vent. That price just HAS to be a typo or something...
I bought this playset in conjunction with Barbie's My House playset for my 8 and 5 year-old daughters. They really go for sets with lots of small and cute parts, and this Dream Sofa set fit the bill--the little plates and cups really make the grade in their opinion.
The sofa is all molded plastic--nothing is soft--so it's very durable. It's fun for the girls to play with, and if you leave it out of the floor and happen to step on it, your foot might get hurt, but the sofa stays in one piece. It's very durable. It's a great playset at a great price. I highly recommend it!

There is also a pizza and a pizza box that are not shown in the product picture. I'm not really sure what the cardboard box thing is supposed to be, though.

I just purchased this for my son yesterday and he loves the 2 spinning dials on the pop on table. You push a button and the 2 round building areas spin but not for long just through each song and then u have to press the button again to restart the spinning. The building blocks aren't really that fun they are kinda big and alot of the pieces don't pop together that good. My son gets really frustrated because he will think that he has some popped together and then they fall off. I really have to push some of the pieces hard together to get them to pop on. He loves the character pieces though and just sits them on the spinning dials. Overall good toy for toddlers but a little overpriced for this type of toy.

My son (almost 3 now) got this toy for Christmas 2004.He LOVES this.I had passed it over in the store thinking he wouldn't like it, but his grandma bought it for him, and it was easily his favorite gift!I love that I can buy all sorts of add on pieces. They pop together VERY EASILY, and the legs DO stay on, as long as you snap them on tight to begin with.I love that I can store all the pieces inside, and my son loves the motion and music.Want Fisher-Price Pop-Onz Pop 'N Twirl Table Building System Discount?
My kids LOVE this toy!My daughter received it for Chirstmas and she and my son play with this all of the time!I love that they can play together with it and with the extra sets they also received for Christmas and birthdays since they can really use their imaginations!I have had friends request that I buy this toy for their kids birthdays because it is so much fun and all kids seem to enjoy it.I find it to be made very well and believe me it has taken some abuse!I would HIGHLY recommend this toy!
Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - Annie And Clarabel
To be more serious, I was not at all sure what my son (just turned 3) would think about the addition of these ladies, but now I can't imagine how he would play without them.He just adores Annie and Clarabel and everywhere Thomas goes, they are sure to follow.Which means that the trio accompany him into the sand box and into the bath tub.
Very rugged toys, I highly recommend these two gals to keep Thomas company.
Pam T~I was nervous ordering these because of the one review stating that they were not wooden but instead cast metal but we were down to the wire for the Easter basket so I took my chances.I was pleased to find out they are indeed wooden -exactly as pictured. They work perfectly on the track.

Apparently, Learning Curve is now TOMY and they've made some changes. Annie & Clarabel are now made with the same facial expressions, which my son is not to happy about. I considered returning them, but just decided to use a black sharpie to change Annie's mouth... :o My incredibly picky 3yo is now fine with it, so I'm happy too. But had I known this originally, I just would have bought used with the correct expressions!Read Best Reviews of Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - Annie And Clarabel Here
There are lots of engines, but not so many cars for the Thomas wooden railway sets.Annie and Clarabel were given to Thomas at the same time he was given the branch line, so they are old friends.Annie and Clarabel can be seen in the opening credits of most Thomas episodes, but in the more recent animated series, they don't actually talk to Thomas like they used to (they used to give him good advice).
Thomas gets very jealous if anyone else pulls Annie and Clarabel. In "The Great Discovery", for example, Thomas' bad feelings about the new engine, Stanley, start festering when he sees him pulling Annie and Clarabel.
Because they are so visible in the Thomas movies and series, my 3 year old was so happy to get them.He has the Thomas train table and always points to them on the side of the table, saying "Annieandclarabel!"We finally realized he thought they had one name together, and it wasn't until he started playing with these that we were able to teach him that they each had a name. That says something about how they are never separated in Thomasland.
Very few cars in Sodor have faces (the troublesome trucks do as well). It gives my son the ability to play out conversations between Thomas and his two beloved coaches. Now that we have Annie and Clarabel, our set feels complete!
These are the usual high quality wood that take a beating very well.

We purchased Annie and Clarabel so the kids could recreate some of the Thomas stories. The kids love them. However, I find the magnet arrangement a bit strange.Annie and Clarabel must be connected either face to face, or one facing forward and the other facing backward.
