The overall construction is much better than most store bought combination gaming sets. The double-sided and removable top contains the same soft leather look with black and white checkered design on one side for games such as checkers & chess, and a dark red and white backgammon board upon the other side. The chess pieces are about two inches long and appear to look like ivory and chocolate wood carvings with soft brown felt on their bottom side. The black and ivory backgammonpieces are about a half inch round with green felt underneath. Also included are some thick and well made ivory dominoes, poker dice, an ivory and black set of rolling dice, two 2X3 inches of black leather looking dice cups, one large and two medium sized black draw string velvet looking pouches for gaming purposes or storing small gaming pieces and instructions for Dominoes, Bacgammon, Chess, Checkers, and Cribbage. Such a great activity for family gaming nights and gift giving purposes.
()This is a very well made game set. It has 5 different games. We use this set 2 or more times per week. We have had it for a while now and it still looks like new. It would make a great gift for family game night or anyone that likes games.
The board and case is leather, as well as the dice cup. the chess peices are wood. They have velvet bags for the pieces. it is really nice

()Like most families, I already have a closet overflowing with board games, so the idea of a space-saving 5-in-1 game set really appealed to me. This set does not disappoint. The case itself is compact but not too small, with a well-crafted leather-look exterior and a roomy velvet-lined storage space inside.
The set includes pieces for chess, checkers, and backgammon, plus a set of double-6 dominoes and poker dice with shakers. I was pleased with the quality of most of the pieces, but the checkers were really a disappointment. They seemed unnecessarily small and made of a cheap-looking plastic... not what I would have expected from this otherwise beautifully made set. As a whole, however, a very nice multi-purpose game set!

()As another reviewer mentioned, I was a little disappointed when I saw the outer carton the set comes in.It looks like a cheap discount store toy.
The game set itself is very nice.The box is velvet lined both inside and on the bottom.The chess/backgammon board is stitched leatherette (don't let the word "leatherette" scare you away-it looks like luxurious leather not cheap vinyl).
Each set of game pieces has its own storage pouch. The chess pieces seem to be carved wood.One piece in the set I received appears to have an extra bandsaw cut on it.They are definitely not cheap molded plastic.All pieces have felt bases.
I was a little disappointed in the checker pieces.They are very small and plastic and feel cheap compared to the chess and domino pieces.
The set I received was missing one of the chess pieces. I tried calling (apparently after hours) and my call was not answered.I will update when I get in touch with customer service to see how they resolve the issue.
Overall it is an impressive set once out of the box.I've gotten several compliments on it already and we've had hours of fun with it. This is a set you will hold on to for years and it makes a great gift.

Hawkman is a big tough looking character with some side characters to boot. they are accurate to the animated and comic designs which makes them more enjoyable for your child. While I do think these figures are durable. I found that the Hawkman wings break off after regular wear from a young child playing with them. Also, remind your child that the wings do not come off as they look like they could. Despite this, any bend on the wings will inevitably cause them to break. whether it is a design flaw or just the nature of the material it is made of. Probably best to have this figure for a child older than 6 years rather than the minimum 4+.
