Best Friend Bands----Singles

I bought these for my two girls (8 and 11).They always start friendship bracelets but quickly loose interest.My 8 YO always had trouble keeping track of the strings.This product is great!!They can finish a project quickly and it keeps track of your strings for you.Once you get used to the tension you need to put on the strings to get the effect you want it is very easy to produce quality bracelets.They needed help "loading" the wheel, but after a few rows/rounds even my 8 YO was doing it like a pro.You make the bracelet by moving strings from one slit to another.They are color coded to help you out, but like I said, once you get started, it is very simple.My one word of advice for the round one is figure a way to mark the next string you need to move BEFORE you put it aside.We wrapped it around a couple slits.On the square one we just made sure to always finish a row.If you don't mark it, it is very hard to figure out where to start back up.

See the nice box with the picture of the loom? All my granddaughter got was the pictured loom wrapped in plastic wrap.no box, no instructions, no beads as promised... the loom and thread. I cannot even explain my horror at sending her such a cheap gift. and I cannot take it back! What do I say? Sorry Gramma got you nothing,I sent it back?

It's was a substitute for a much bigger kit which was sold out.It's ok for the price.Would use as a filler or a stocking stuffer.Not enough to stand alone if getting for a present unless for a $5 max gift exchange.
