Anatex Six-Sided Play Cube

This activity center is VERY expensive. It is NOT made with parent or grandparents in mind. It is made for waiting rooms like pediatricians' offices.Too bad. There are lots of activity centers/play cubes on the market aimed at parents and grandparents, and most are far less expensive than this Anatex model, but they are NOT as stimulating or sturdy, nor do they offer as many different activities. I have four Grandchildren and they can all play with the cube at the same time. They seem to enjoy the five different activities, the colorful beads, the grinding of the gears, and moving through the mazes.Yes, this cube is very expensive, but some purchases are easier to justify than others.

For one I LOVE it's made in the good old US of A. Also it's a wooden learning toy that will last well beyond my kids having kids. I have an almost 3 year old and 1 year old twins and ALL three can play and learn at the same time without trampling on each other's space. Well worth the money and a lot better than spending $10 bucks here or there on cheap China made produces that won't last longer than a bad cold.

I bought this so that our 3 year old and 7 month old would have something to play with together....and it worked! They both love the variety of activities. There were a few spots where some of the paint was a little sloppy and there was some flaking from the appliqués used on the alphabet pictures but those didn't affect the toy at all, and overall it is very sturdy! This toy keeps the two of them entertained for quite awhile and is exactly what I was hoping for!

Alex Wooden Cook Top Playstove

This is a great little stove. We had gone thru several "full size play kitchens", and got tired of the space they take.Bought this one 7 or 8 years ago.It folds up and can be put away, but still gets taken out and played with (by the youngest child now) every week or so.Of course you have to buy a good set of pans, we bought the ones pictured with it, and really fun playfood, not just a platic blob in the shape of food.Even the older kids still come play with the kitchen stuff occasionally.

It is not clear in the picture and description that the pots and accessories are NOT included in the cookset. Those have to be purchased separately.Other than that disappointment, the set is of very high quality, and the wood is smoothly sanded and seems splinter-proof.

I got this for my 18 month old son. He has been interested in all the kitchen appliances but I thought I would give a simple start. It is small in size but perfectly so; can travel because it foods and seems pretty durable. The only downside is how it folds it doesn't exactly lock in place. But all in all very durable and higher quality than expected.

I was searching for a small play stove set for my son who just turned 3 and is very into pretend play. This stove was perfect, it's realistic, great quality, durable and best of all my son loves it.If you are looking to save space and avoid getting one of those giant pretend kitchens I'd recommend this product.

This play stovetop is perfect for situations where small size and easy storage are key criteria! Its sturdy wood construction promises to be a big long-term plus, and it happens to fit beautifully atop a rolling 3-drawer plastic cart in primary colors, both bonuses as well. Thanks to the addition of several medium-small stacking bins placed next to the cart when grandchildren are with us, the red drawer can function as a pretend oven, the blue one as a fridge, and the yellow one for "other stuff" of their choosing. When they aren't, the stovetop can stay in its original box for protected storage, and the cart provides plenty of space for all the play food, pots and pans, chef outfit, etc.I've found that Alex Toys manufactures a number of great products and stands behind them I'm happy to say this is no exception!

Gund Winky Lamb with Blankie-Pink

Our purchase of this lamb was not the average purchase.I was looking for the "perfect" lamb to sit atop of my infant son's casket spray. This was the perfect lamb.It served its purpose beautifully. It is a keepsake I treasure. It is also a lamb I plan to purchase with much frequency, as I've started a pregnancy loss non-profit and will be giving this lamb to other families as a keepsake.

I was very happy to find this product for my 7th grandchild. All the other grandchildren have a different brand of a prayer lamb but that one is no longer in production I was very disappointed, but very happy to find this one by Gund.

Lamb is super soft and snuggable.Prayer is sweet, but perhaps a bit loud for newborn or infants tender ears.Since it is not easily triggered, I didn't think it was too much of a hassle.

Sasquatch

Way smaller that i thought it was going to be.. i was using it as a trophy for my annual game night. It was heavy though.. not plastic, maybe cast-iron?I glued it to a 4x4 x6 block to make it a bit more substantial. All in all it was the favorite trophy out of the 12 crazy trophies i got. thanks, will order it again next year.

It is VERY Small about 2 inches, but it is still cute Sasquatch is some type cast medal but the base is a cheep plastic and did not work with the Sasquatch so I will have to make it another base as they are not attached.

Very well made , but really small ! The base needed some tinkering though ,as the Sasquatch would not fit properly in the groove. Nothing a good file can't fix .

I love this little figurine! I live in the Northwest where this mythical creature is well known. My son is in college, but belongs to a board game club. I asked him what they used for D&D play and he said whatever they had on hand. I got him this so he will stand out from the others. It's paintable and a real looker!

Imaginarium City Central Train Table

This is such a great train table.Although it does take a long time to put together, the instructions and pieces are well organized and each step is easy there are just many different things to assemble. Once everything is put together it is hours of fun for little guys!We bought this for my son's second birthday and it is the first thing he asks to play with each day when he wakes up.Whenever kids are over the house they always gravitate right to this. There are plenty of trains and lots of room around the table so everyone can play. The lights and sounds on the bridge, train station, and tunnel are my son's favorites he gets so much entertainment out of this table! There are so many cute details I haven't even put out all the lamp posts, trees, people, etc because my son is so young, but you can keep expanding the interactive play as they grow.Well worth the money and time to put together.Works well with all of our existing Thomas trains and tracks.

Sportcraft Table Foosball Table Cover

I bought this for my new Sportcraft Melbourne 56-Inch Foosball Table, and I'm glad I did. I've had the table assembled in the basement for only a few weeks, and it's already got a layer of dust on it. The cover is thin nylon with a zipper down the middle. It says it's for 54-inch tables, but it fits my 56-inch table fine, though I doubt it would fit a 58-inch table.

The price may be a little steep, but keep in mind this is a custom product designed to protect a table that cost a couple hundred dollars, and that seems worthwhile to me. You could probably spend a lot more on a fancier looking cover that would do exactly the same thing.

We leave our table outside so it was a good idea to get a cover.Does the job.. a little light and not the easiest thing to put on but all in all does the job we need it to.

Bachmann Santa Special HO Scale Ready To Run Electric Train Set

• Complete Set ? includes everything you need to build your own Railroad
• Featuring Bachmann?s Easy to Assemble EZ Track
• HO Scale ? 1:87 -- Conforms with NMRA (National Model Railroad Association) Standards

I purchased this item and just set this up in preparation for designing my Christmas village wanting to see how it would look. Of course, I just HAD to run it for a bit and so far, so good. Now, understand that this is NOT the highest of quality that you would receive for spending a lot more money, but for the price the quality is quite acceptable indeed.

That being said, I wish Bachmann would have included a picture of the track SOMEWHERE on their website. I purchased straight tracks to extend the layout a bit and looking at the limited pics available, I gambled it was the track with a grey surface. It is not, it has a BLACK surface. So if you need extenders, now you know.

That aside, it was a good purchase and I am satisfied with it.

This was purchased to entertain my 3 year old granddaughter under a small artificial Christmas Tree. Mission accomplished!I intended to configure it in a circle but the electrical contacts to the track are located on one of the two straight track pieces so the only way to put it together without modification is, as advertised, in the 38X47 inch oval. For the price, there is nothing "cheap" about the construction, it's just not heavy duty. I'm very happy with this purchase.

My son just got this train for Christmas. He is 5. While it may be difficult for him to set up alone it is a great way for some father/grandfather bonding. The detail is impressive on the trains. The track snaps together easily and functions well on uneven surfaces (no problem navigating my wrinkled tree skirt) the engines movement is well controlled. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't find the smoke solution in my packaging but that doesn't take away from the product. I have to play with it some more but believe it may be 5 star material. Definitely a good buy.

We got this train set as part of our new family tradition. We began setting this up each and every Christmas. The product itself is heavy duty although some parts are fragile. I would be careful with kids around as they may be able to break some of the smaller parts. Other then that, this will be in our family for many years to come.

Little Tikes Easy Adjust Play Table

We were looking for a sort of play table for our son and came across this and we don't regret it.

After getting previous Little Tikes merchandise (table & chairs, toy box) we already knew about the durability of what we would be getting with this. So far it's been a year and still going strong.

The best part of this play table is that it doubles as a desk for either homework or for some sort of art. It's easily height adjustable and under the top piece, you have decent storage space. Along the sides are 4 storage bins which are easily accessible for children. Cleans very easily overall and this product will last you a long time, unlike other products out there. Everything we have bought from Little Tikes has lasted well past the price and this is certainly no exception.

Perfect for train sets, puzzles, drawing, or in our son's case playing with his cars. It doesn't come with a chair, but we used one of the extras we had from the Little Tikes table and it works perfectly.

Really a great product overall and you do get your money's worth.

My only complaint is that you really need to space to have full access to the side bins. This is a great size table, and nice safe construction. The bins fall out of their little compartments fairly easy, so easy that my toddler can dissemble the bins and dump the toys, but he can also snap them back in and put the toys away! The kids all have a great time walking around the table have easy access to whatever toys are scattered on top!

These things are awesome. Such a neat mind toy that keeps kids busy without being in front of the TV or Video Games. My complaint is, they are easily broken if they are mistreated. No throwing, sitting on etc. My 3 year old took at 2 of these in less than 3 months. It would be nice if they were a bit more sturdy. Waiting til he gets a bit older before I replace the two he broke. Its been over a year and all three of my kids 12, 9, and now 4 year old still pick the remaining one to play with.

International Playthings Playdate Central Giant Activity Table Cloth

I bought the activity table cloth for my kids after seeing it in a magazine. It looked like fun and I suppose on some level it is, but it's mostly a pain.

It's not like a table cloth; it's more like a diaper changing pad. It's thick and squishy which makes coloring on it pretty awkward.

The good part is: if you use washable markers (for quality I would recommend Crayola Washable Markers not the markers it comes with) then it does wash clean and can be used again.

We pull this out sometimes on rainy days, but if we didn't have it, we could find plenty of other things to do.

It's just not all that.

Santa bought this for my 5 yr old daughter. I waited to review it as I wanted to see how clean it came when it was washed. It did come perfectly clean--even using washable markers that did not come with it. I would say it is appropriate for 4-7 yr olds. Children older than that would not be challenged by the word finds or dot to dots as they are not that hard. Overall a good toy. My daughter likes it.

This was purchased as a birthday gift for a 6 year old boy. His mom informed me that not only did he use it, but so did his 9 year old brother. She said it kept them busy and gave her some much needed peace. When they were done she threw it into the washer and it came out clean and ready to go.

I bought this for my neices and nephews who were coming to visit and it was the best purchase I've made in a long time.Kids of all ages love it, it's a great way to keep little people occupied for a while. You can use any washable marker on it and it washes up PERFECTLY.It's thicker than I thought, feels almost like a thin blanket, but it's a great buy.I keep it in the closet for the next time I need kid-friendly entertainment and it always gets the job done!

Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - Sir Topham Hatt's Car

We bought this for our son's Easter basket and to round-off his ever-growing collection of Thomas trains. It is sized just like the wooden trains so that it fits on the tracks and Sir Topham bounces up and down when the car rolls along. However, if the surface is very smooth, such as a tile countertop or glossy table, then the wheels just glide instead of turning and Sir Topham does not bounce. Perhaps some rubber or other tread on the wheels would have insured that they would turn on more surfaces. Other than that, it's a great addition to our Thomas train set!

I am willing to spend more on Learning Curve's Thomas Wooden railway because I feel like I am getting high quality wooden toys.My little one loves Sir Topham Hat, so I bought him the car for Christmas.I was fairly disappointed when I opened the package to realize that this particular vehicle is practically half plastic.Except for a thin layer over the main (plastic) body, the entire toy is plastic.

That being said, it's still a fun toy, Sir Tophan Hat bumps up and down and it seems durable and is a nice color.I'll still buy Thomas Wooden railway toys but just wanted to let potential consumers know that this one has a lot of plastic!!!

Buy Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - Sir Topham Hatt's Car Now

This character toy is unique as far as his 'bumping' up and down as he rolls along.Durable and cute. The only reason i purchased this item was because i could not find a single figurine of Sir Topham Hatt.I guess it is the epitome of our time...mostly spent in the car ;0)

Read Best Reviews of Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - Sir Topham Hatt's Car Here

Pro's:

1) It's Sir Topham Hat you can't go wrong with the Hat. Every kid loves the Hat!

2) Lovely shade of blue even matches Lady Hat's Hat.

Con's:

1a) Lots of plastic, for something that's supposedly part of the Wooden Railway

1b) All the plastic makes this look and feel cheap no way this one will last as long as the other Thomas trains

2) REALLY HURTS under foot, which happens a lot given how my toddler loves to leave his toys around

3) No magnets to connect to trains.Of course Sir Topham Hat's car doesn't typically drive on the rails but that didn't stop them from putting magnets on Berty the Bus, or any of the other roadway vehicles so why not this one?Kids love the tracks not the accessories that don't go on the tracks...

Overall no collection is complete without the Hat, but they should think about a design that's more consistent with the Thomas Wooden Railway proposition.

Jonti-Craft 2872JC, See-thru Sensory Table - Toddler

Our students, ages 3-5, love this table! It can be used for water and sand, of course, but we also use it for ooblick (that wonderful combination of corn starch and water for sensory play), and we shred tissue paper and 'hide' items in it that link with the lesson (currently, plastic frogs of all sorts, colors, and sizes are hidden in various shades of green tissue paper). The children use 'chop sticks' to locate and pluck them out of the bin, assisting with the strengthening of fine motor muscles. It requires minimal space, drains water simply, and easily moves from room to room on sturdy wheels. This was a purchase that will provide many enriching activities for our students!

The plastic pockets are practical if you want to replace netting ones but you may have to snip a little off the two center plastic pockets on some pool tables and they can hold many pool balls in each pocket they are flexible too for fitting in the pocket areas a great idea that wont break the bank and they look attractive too!!!
