The project is easy enough to finish within a half hour, but the kit does not give you enough material to finish the project.You wind up with "holes" around the skirt where there is not enough material to fill it.The band that you attach the material to is just an elastic band that fit my 4-year-old just fine (she is 37 pounds).It's cute, but they need to include more material.
My little 6 year-old daughter received this project as a gift for her birthday.She had such a good time making it (actually able to do it herself = free time for daddy!) and her friends were really excited about the finished product.In fact, my daughter told me one of her friends was planning a "tutu party" theme for her next birthday.I am more of a "soccer dad" than an "arts & crafts dad", but even I had to admit it looked likethey were having fun.Very cute kit & an appropriate name for the product!

Our granddaughter was given this kit for her sixth birthday.We were very disappointed with it.She was not able to assemble it without extensive help from an adult.The tutu is made by attaching strips of tulle to an elastic waistband with larkshead knots, and making stacks of shorter tulle strips into flowers.The tulle is hard for a child to handle, and it is hard to space the strips evenly around the elastic.Once the tutu is assembled, it is way too short for a child of six--it barely covers the hips, and our granddaughter is slender and only a bit taller than average for her age.When the child pulls off the tutu, everything becomes a knotted, tangled mess that has ended up neglected in the bottom of the dress-up chest.I have really liked some of this company's kits, but this one is ill-conceived.

Furreal Friends Newborn Piglet
I gave this little piglet to my daughter for her 3rd birthday in February and she still loves it. She pretends to feed it with the little bottle and she still wants to take it with her on trips from time to time. I'm surprised it hasn't broken yet since she's pretty rough with it. This little piggy has been to he11 and back. I've run the stroller over it countless times.. it's fallen out my purse and into a puddle and it still oinks.I do have to admit that it's gotten a bit dingy.

I have to say I didnt expect the toy to be so cheaply made. In all honesty I was expecting WWE quality and got something short of it. Not really a huge issue as they are tables my son breaks in half anyways lol. They definitely get the job done as my 4yr old is going crazy slamming Big Show through all 3 of them! As an adult I can definitely tell they are knock offs so keep that in mind as you make your purchase.

Just got my new MK racket in and it is perfect for beginners.I have a much more expensive racket that I use but needed another one for my co-workers to use when we play.For the price you can't beat this racket.The rubber is very nice quality and allows for good control.The weight is a little light but I probably wouldn't even notice if it wasn't for my other paddle.I would recommend this paddle to anyone who is starting out and looking for thier first racket upgrade.Don't waste your time and money on any generic off the shelf $5 rackets.You will definitely get more than you pay for with this racket.The case and balls are just added bonuses with this set.I have actually purchased another MK case for my nicer paddle.

The spin is a bit less but that can be rectified if you are just learning to play. Nice material overall and generally a nice touch! The 3 star balls which come alongwith are also a pleasure to play.

The best bang for buck on Amazon for a paddle.I own two of these and just ordered two more. When they arrive everyone can play at any table we visit.If you think that you might want to go cheaper than this, don't. Learn to play on pips in on both sides from the start and start rockin it.Again, the quality of these is high performance!Just keep the plastic sheets that the paddle comes with and replace after play. The rubber will last! The high quality 3 stars are awesome as well.

Blip Toys Lego Activity Table
My kids love Legos and we bought this to replace an older table that didn't hold up.However, this table never got out of the box.The design was very poor.Either the bolts were too short or the hardware was completely wrong. I could not assemble at all because the bolts just wouldn't connect with the nuts.I snapped several nuts before I realized how flawed the table was.My guess is the pre-drilled holes were off by a good 1/4 inch and that made it impossible to fasten the table top to the legs/sides.I contacted the company that handles the product and they were not helpful.They kept telling me this was a new product for them and they were not familiar with it.After having to call several times (they do not return calls very well), they finally told us they couldn't provide the correct parts.So, we had to return.
My initial impression is this is a good product.My kids were really sad when we had to send it back.But considering how poorly the table was designed for assembly, there is no way I wanted another one to stress over.
My sons got this as a Christmas present, and they love it! It was quite easy to put together, the Lego print is really cool, and the table top has a few neat features. You can keep it like it is in the picture, add a Lego build board, or open the middle which has a neat to catch all the Lego pieces. It is made out of ply wood, of course, but it is a great table for the price!

We just bought this table on clearance at the local big toy store. "Get what ya paid for" is ringing in my ears. Putting it together was a bit of a process and requires a flat head, philips head, and an allen wrench to assemble. So juggling the pieces, various nuts, bolts, dowels, and three tools was a little more complicated than I was expecting. I'm glad we had all those tools around the house. The table seems to be very sturdy and seems like it will last my 3-year-old's rough play. The downside is that it's not the best design. I thought from the picture that the sides would be a little higher so the lego cars and things would not roll off, but it really only has a very slight beveled lip. Having the net in the center of the table to store all the legos is nice, but if you want to build on the lego plate, you have to take out all the legos you want, then build. A few times we've had to carefully pick up the center piece so our boy could get out more legos to keep playing. I was also surprised to see that the lego plate in the center of the table is not attached to the wooden piece at all, so when you lift out the lid and flip it over, the lego plate just falls down. You also have to be careful pulling legos off the plate, because it will pull right up off the table. Despite the average design and overly-complicated assembly, we will continue to use this table. Our son seems to enjoy it and it's okay for the price.

All the part were there. Took about 15 mins tops to assemble.

Others have reviewed the limited depth of field. This is true--you'll need to be close to the subject for it to be in focus. Please understand that this is not a fault of the manufacturer but is the way optics perform when designed to work in this fashion. In my opinion, this limitation makes these an unsuitable solution for reading unless you need extreme help and are willing to hold the material very close. I've tried. It's clumsy.
Two notes from my years of using this product. 1) There are "thumbturn" tighteners (small knobs visible in the picture) that keep the visor in position once you've adjusted it on your head. We tend to only tighten the one on the right because we are right handed. The left one became loose, fell off, and was lost for quite some time before we located it under the couch. Keep both of these finger-tight or you may lose one of them. 2) The optics can scratch if you store the visor improperly. We like the visor so much that we put a hook on the wall near the office desk--just an arm's reach away. Easy access. Safe storage.
These are ruggedly built, well-designed and have helped me to solve many problems. Therefore, they get my 5-star approval and recommendation.

I bought this headband magnifier to be able to work hands-free on electronic circuitry and small surface mount components. I thought I'd be able to use a small soldering iron while wearing the visor, but at the point of good focus there's only about 3 to 4 inches of clearance between the lenses and the work. It can still be done, but you have to be careful as you bring the iron in and out of the working view so you don't burn the visor or the lenses.This magnifier is good overall. The fit is nice and snug and pretty comfortable to wear for extended time. The lenses are good quality, although if I had to buy another I'd get a lower magnification than this 3-1/2X. It's very hard to work with items because the focal length is under 4 inches. The 2.5X or 2.75X are probably better for getting more working distance. The knob-adjust headband is a nice feature for quickly adjusting to a snug fit, and the side knobs let you adjust the up/down swing very easily.
I also ordered the OptiLoupe 2.5X addon, but that thing is pretty useless. It's very hard to use and it has a narrow zone of vision.
Overall, the construction and quality of this headband visor is very good and it does what it claims.
It costs a bit more than most others, but it seems to be of very good construction.

These are everywhere and can be found at low prices if you look around, which you should because these are the most form-fitting, all-day wearable magnifiers of the bunch. Not fancy, not a lot of features, and not much weight, which is very important if you plan on actually using this type of head worn magnifier for extended periods. The lens material is very scratch resistant, easy to clean, and clear. The adjustable headband is simple and not fancy at all, but it conforms to your head, unlike the very uncomfortable B&Ls, which I also have.
I bought my last pair of these for less than I see here on Amazon, where I think they are priced a little high.Even so, these are the ones to get, because the design is superior.

In an attempt to get a new controller I began trying to contact Lionel headquarters the Monday after Christmas.It took me until Friday afternoon January 8th to get through to a live body in Technical
Support at Lionel.I estimate ten phone calls,three disconnects and two 30 minute waiting periods
before I was able to speak to an appropriate Lionel representative.I learned that Lionel inventories no replacement parts for this playset.I was told that my only option to get another controller was
to buy another complete playset at the MSRP of $59.99 plus shipping.
I find it inconceivable that a children's toy train company that has been in business for over 100 years, marketing a new produjct designed for 2 1/2 to six year olds would stock no replacement parts
for it.This experience with Lionel has been unsatisfactory in terms of the durability of the product,
the difficulty in communicating with customer service and the inability to be able to correct what should be a relatively minor problem.

My 3 yr old son got this train for Christmas. He loves it! Had no problems with the remote and it is very easy for him to play with. It goes in forward and reverse with ease, even with him moving it back and forth as fast as he can. Only problem is that it doesn't have a lot of track with it. I almost did not buy this because of some bad reviews.Glad I did, my 3 year loves it and has been playing with it all Christmas day.1.The train turns off automatically if not used for 5 minutes press the smoke stack to start again (some reviews said the train stopped working this is probably why)
2.The controller uses IR and must be pointed away from the child and toward the train in order for it to work.My son kept holding it backwards once we figured this out it has worked great.
3.My only complaint is my children are used to toy trains where they can move the train by pushing it on the track and since this is gear driven whenever they try and push it by hand it will fall off the track also if the switch tracks are turned the wrong way it will derail easy.
Overall it turned out to better then I thought from the other reviews.

This train set is tons of fun!The track can be set up in a few different ways, it offers a fun little cargo crane to load and unload boxes, has fun noises and lights and best of all I enjoy it too!My daughter is 2 1/2 and between her 3 year old friend and her they play with this for hours!My 7 month old loves to watch them play with it.The Engine train has an infrared sensor and I suspect that some of the users who had trouble with this train didn't follow the rule that the remote has to be pointed at the sensor on the train or it may not respond, just like if you point your remote at your cat your tv may not turn on.The tracks are a little difficult to snap together but they stay in place quite well.I only with I could find more trains and track to add to it!I highly recommend this for any parent of a young child interested in trains!
I bought this for my 4 year old for Christmas, as he is a train fanatic. I thought this would be perfect for him, as it's durable and can withstand some minor abuse.
Unfortunately, the remote lasted only a day. New batteries didn't fix it. I'll be returning it to the hobby shop, as I see this is a recurring theme on these reviews. Too bad.
I also didn't like that there is no extension set for the track.

First off, this is not a toy. It can break easily. I have two of them for that very reason. Second, it could have been larger. I would have loved to have pieces that were twice as large. Finally, since this is the only Dejarik Holochess Set on the market at the time of this review, I think its great. If you love the original Star Wars trilogy... you might like this set.
Qwirkle Board Game
As a mom with 6 kids of different ages, I look for games that my younger ones can play but that don't make me crazy with boredom (ie CandyLand, Chutes and Ladders) My 4 year old can only make it through 1/2 a game, the end gets too complex for him, but my 7, 10, and 12 year old boys love it, as do my in-laws and everyone else who has played it with us.I like games that only take minute to explain and start playing but that have enough strategy to keep the mind occupied.Also at 30-45 minutes a round, it's enough of a distraction but doesn't take hours to play.The game consists of wooden tiles with 6 different shapes and colors and that's it. Very durable, my 4 year old loves to build Qwirkle castles. I recommend this game. My other favorites are Blokus, Othello and Rummikube, all the same genre, fun, easy to explain and play and yet a challenge.
I was trying to find a game to play with a client who has dementia and ran across this in an article.After I bought it I tested it out with my kids (25, 24, 19 and 11) and myself (47).We had so much fun!! It is one of those games that can be played at different levels.We started getting quite inventive on where and when to play to maximize our points and block our opponents.
I then played with my client.She and I did not keep score.We just made the chains with either shapes or colors and added wherever she first recognized a play.No trying to strategize where to build for future etc.We also played with both of our tiles up so we could talk about the best places to play.She likes this game and actually remembers having played before and wants to play again.The 'rules' have to be re-learned but the fun remains.
For one more note, we had a group of my daughters friends over and four of us played Quirkle.They were all 19 22.That got pretty cutthroat They all want to play again.
I HIGHLY recommend this game.I think I'm going to buy a 2nd one so more than 4 can play together (We played with 5 first night and it does work too).
I purchase this for a six year old nephew, and the whole family joined in to break in this game.It was easy to understand, but challenging.My nephew really enjoyed the game, but it was hard forthe adults not to be competitive when playing. The game is fun, and it makes you want to out-think the opponents.
From what I hear, my brother's family has been playing the game almost daily since my nephew received it.What better reception could there be for a game?
This game is money well spent.I believe that it will help my nephew develop logical thinking skills and strategy development.The fact that he is smiling all the while, is icing on the cake.

As my daughter said, "Well, checkers looks easy too; it's just moving pieces diagonally to the other side of the board."On the downside, as another review mentioned, the pieces are cheaply madelow quality wood and paint, non-uniform size. But the most egregious design flaw is the selection of colors.For me, the red and orange are so close that even in good light I find myself holding them up at different angles just to make sure I don't confuse them.
I must compliment the author of the instructions. As you would expect on a game that appears simple on the surface but ultimately has many nuances, communicating those to the game player is essential.The directions walk through a hypothetical series of moves that pretty much cover any scoring or strategy intricacy that you might run into.
Bottom line: As long as you have decent color vision and are not a stickler for perfection in construction then put this game in your cart and check out right now.Your family will thank you.
