I agree with most of what has already been said in review of this product...

BUT I think, even if you measure it out beforehand, and know you're getting a itsy bitsy table (though with a great drawer, I agree) it just isn't roomy enough for easy play (if you have one of the larger houses). If you buy the playground, have fun trying to squeeze it in there somewhere. If you buy any of the really cute 'play-place' stuff that Calico Critter sells, like that thing with the hot air balloon, or even the little Ferris wheel. Not good (there isn't anywhere to fit that in!).

If you have one of their small houses maybe it would work but then you can't fit all the fun furnishings in those.

I think if you don't have a lot of calico critter things it would be great. For example; If you had a few families and a playground, then I suppose it would be very good.

I hope someday they put out a play table that actually fits their hotel or their big house WITH room for a playground or other such things. Calico Critter toys are my favorite (as far as toys go) because they're fuzzy, cute and have a lot of dear accessories! Playmobile toys are a very close second (but they lack in fuzziness).

I bought this for my peace of mind. So many peices with this collection!But this is a great way to store all the Critter stuff. The drawer is large and the edges keep things from ending up on the floor. We have the large house with the green roof and it just fits with a little room all around. You could also just use the table to play without a house as there is a scene painted on the table.

I used a power screw driver and put it together in about 20 minutes (I'm pretty good at assembling things). It is very sturdy and has lots of bracing at all the corners. I have one visable chip on a corner but since I got this at a crazy low Amazon price I'll just get out some white paint and deal with it. FYI Ships in original packaging.

We got this table for my 3 year old to accompany her brand new Deluxe Village House.My Mom and I assembled the table all by ourselves.The directions for assembly were only pictures no words.They were still pretty easy to figure out.It went together pretty easily except for one finicky screw and Bolt (well, I'm not sure if the thing is actually called a bolt...so you see I really am not gifted witha ssembly).My arms were sore by the end (this table requires tons of screws 64!) but no major mishaps.All the holes were properly aligned.Once completed the table was sturdy and looked strong.The drawer is very spacious.As others mentioned, there are no compartments but we put the little pieces in a small tupperware container without the cover.

The table is a must have for calico critter fans.A dollhouse at table level is easier to play with.Plus with all of the teenie tiny pieces, they are much less likely to get lost since they will not end up on the floor.The wall around the edge of the table keeps the piecs from sliding off.The table is a great height.My tall 3 year old and gigantic 4.5 year old can easily play with it and there is plenty of room to grow. The designs on the table are cute and the top has nice scenery too.Overall, it was worth the money and tired forearms.

The table is precious and is sturdy.Our problem is that the drawer screws did not line up right and cause the drawer panels to bulge and probably will crack and break if not reinforced.The instructions were good and table itself is sturdy.We tried to get a replacement drawer from International Playthings and they could not provide a replacement drawer because it was made in China.They should keep replacement parts.Amazon answer immediately but could not provide a replacement drawer.They would pay shipping back and give us a full refund. We put it together a few days before the party so little eyes could not see and did not have time to get and put another table together again. What if the 2nd one had a problem with table not the drawer? We did not want to go to the trouble of sending it back because we would have to take it apart to put in the box and then put another together.We are the Grandparents...too much trouble.We are going to try to fix the drawer and Amazon did give us a little refund to help on the drawer since it is a large item to return.The whole problem could have been solved easily with replacement parts. If I had it to do over again I would buy it locally so I could deal with the seller or have them put it together.I buy a lot from Amazon and have been very pleased with every purchased except this one.You are dealing with too many parties to get complete satisfaction.They did what they could, I guess.

Giraffe Chair

poor paint/coating quality. Scratches, dents, and abrasions on the backrest of the chair where the face of the animal is. Amazon replaced this product quickly but same issue with the second delivery. Looked as if the manufacturer's kids have used these chairs for some time themselves. I'd expect a better quality when ordering a brand new product.

The design, though, is just great. Our kid loves it. So we decided to keep it but to repaint the damaged areas ourselves.

We purchased the giraffe chair along with the lion and the zebra chairs and the assorted jungle table. We love it! it is easy to assemble. the size is perfect for our toddler and he sits there anytime he plays with his "laptop" or while drawing. I like the colors and the wooden material. Unlike the other reviewers, our set came without a dent or scratch.

You do have to stain it yourself, but once you do, the table and stools are durable and super-cute. I especially like how sturdy the stools are--not much danger your little ones will be able to tip them and fall over (as they would with little chairs). We get compliments all the time. When I was looking at entertainment stuff for our new baby, I knew I wanted something similar to what our boys had had.Very few stationary entertainers out there rock and bounce anymore.That was half the fun for my little guys!At one point, T-Rex didn't even play with the toys he just liked to jump and spin!Anyway, this entertainer does that jumps/bounces, has a rotating seat, and has a rocker bottom (you can pull out the feet if you don't want it to bobble).The toys are brightly colored not pastel, which has been proven not be as visually stimulating.The toys are very engaging, too.The only con I would add is that it takes 9 AAA batteries to make all the toys work.I was willing to buy it anyway because of all the stages it offers.I liked the play mat for the tiny infant stage, the exersaucer for her current stage (5 months) and the idea of a play table when she's older.I don't feel like I spent a bunch of money on something she will only be interested in for a few months.This was super easy to put together, too!I did it alone in about 20 minutes the part that took longest was the screws, and only because our drill needed to be charged.:-)All in all, I would highly recommend this exersaucer!We tried a few others with sitters and at the homes of friends, but none of them quite compared to this bad boy!It's worth every penny!!

As an activity center for the baby to sit in, this is great because the baby can turn around and do all the activities. What's nice about this product is that you can transform it from a seated center into a standing activity center; however, when you do that, not only is it space consuming, but it is extremely unsturdy. When my baby stands up at it, I have to hold the activity center down because the legs are too far apart to make it sturdy. Also, it's very easy for the baby to push his or her weight and knock it over.

We have a very big 8 month old (approx. 26 lbs., and 30" tall), so we wanted a really good quality exersaucer that could to stand up to his jumping in it.We did a bunch of shopping around and this is the best one available. Our son loves all the toys on it as well as all the sounds it makes (he especially likes the talking iguana).It is a very study and well made toy.I checked both the Toys 'R Us and the Target websites on 6/12/09 and they were both charging $129 for this exersaucer. In closing, I would highly recommend this toy!

First I want to say that I have a different model of this toy, so I myself cannot comment on the toys this one comes with. However, after reading a few of the reviews, it seems that some parents have not stopped to think about the fact that when creating this toy, they had a rather wide age range in mind. Some of the toys need to be for older babies/young toddlers, or it will be useless as an activity table. That being said, the toys on it are called "switch-a-roos" for a reason. They come of and you can get different ones that are more "baby friendly" until your child is older. I know this is a bit expensive, but if you already spent the money on this, it might be worth investing in getting two or so to make it more fun for younger babies.

All of that said, here are the things that I absolutely love about this toy. It is the most versatile out there. It goes from a play mat, to an entertainer, to an activity table. It also doubles as a jumparoo. We had both with my son, and he liked jumping in this more. Needless to say, we sold the jumperoo and kept this for the next baby (although my son still uses it in table mode, and will probably not be thrilled when he is a big brother soon and the baby takes it over) My son LOVED this toy from day one. We first used it when he was almost six months, and there has not been a time since that he has not used it in one way or another. (He is now just shy of 15 months) I know it is not "recommended" to allow babies to pull up on it, however that is because the company does not want to be liable for an injury. It was what my son learned to pull up on (he started doing this when it was in the exersaucer mode, which was actually less stable, so we turned it into a table and he never once fell), and is very stable, although it does not always seem that way. It does shake back and forth, as my son LOVES to do to it, in the table mode, but we have never had a problem with it tipping. In fact, he has recently tried climbing it, and still has yet to tip it.

This is the baby item that I most highly recommend, and we will not be parting with ours until we are sure we are done having kids, and possibly not even then.

The good:It looks very nice, there are lots of fun things for the baby to do, and the seat is designed well -it's easy to lower the baby into the saucer and pick her back up.

The Bad: It requires several sets of AA batteries -Each electronically active thing is a separate unit.The bouncer uses springs captured in plastic legs and the bounce isn't very smooth.It's harder to assemble than other jumpers.

Overall: I have been through a few jumpers, and the fact that I can easily lower the baby in and pick her up (compared to saucers where I have to struggle to get feet through the leg holes) is a huge win for me.The baby likes the toys even without the batteries, and the clumsy (sticky) bouncing doesn't seem to bother the baby much.I am relatively happy with this jumper.

Playskool Clipo Figure Bucket

Although at first these blocks seem really neat, we quickly found that they are very hard to put together and they easily fall apart.We tried to make some of the pictures, which led to frustration for both me and my almost five year old daughter.

This product is very disappointing.The pieces are hard to put together and do not stay together very well.I even have a difficult time with them.I intend to throw them away as soon as I purchase some bristle blocks to replace them with.

I agree with the other reviewers, that these are hard to put together.I have trouble.However, my two year old (never while I am looking, mind you), comes to me with these creations that she has some how assembled."Look at my helicopter, mama!" and so on.So, my conclusion is that it just maybe takes a little patience and the right sort of touch to get it.We haven't had any trouble with them falling apart, but my little gal is not making any huge structures either.We only have the small set (not this one) and I feel so positive about them that I have been searching Amazon for a couple of months now (not remembering what they were called) in order to buy some more.Finally, I found them!Clipo!

Namco Ms. Pac-Man Plug & Play with 5 TV Games

I got this primarily for Galaga and secondarily for Ms. Pac-Man.As others have indicated, the joystick has "issues"; specifically, turning corners in Pac-Man is just as likely to send you careening back the way you came (into pursuing ghosts in my case) as it is to actually turn the corner.

So why did I give it three stars, instead of one?Entirely for Galaga.I was one of those geeks that could spend a half-hour playing Galaga using one quarter.The nostalgia value of that alone is worth $20 plus shipping.

Even for just Galaga, there are issues.It is hard to hit the fire button in the rapid, staccato shots needed for "challenge" stages in Galaga (and helpful elsewhere).You have to use your thumb because of the small size of the unit.On the arcade Galaga, I use the tips of my fingers on the fire button, which is placed several inches away from the joystick.

Some intrepid video game maker needs to make a "universal" video game.It would look like an '80s stand-up or table-top game, but would be able to play many (say, 50) classic '80s games.The software issue would be trivial; the hard part would be having buttons, joysticks, knobs (Tempest), trackballs (Centipede, Missile Command), etc. able to handle the different games.Perhaps there would be modules that could be plugged in to the controls area as needed for different games.

This thing is a lot of fun but if you're buying it solely for Ms. PacMan you will be bitterly disappointed.The first one I bought was defective and you couldn't move Ms. PacMan vertically at all.The replacement was better but moving her vertically is still very eratic.Completely unacceptable in that sort of game.

The remaining games seem to work just fine and are a blast to play.

I read the reviews from previous reviewers, but asked my GF to buy me this anyway.

The controller works perfect!Mrs. Pacman, Pole Position, everything works great.

I was most surprised and impressed at how true to the classics the games really are!!!They even have the demo modes if you don't touch the controller.The Sound Effects are just like the original games, as best as I can remember.

The graphics quality is as perfect as the original coin opperated arcade games.This is no Atari home system.This is just like the stand up arcade machines I used to play at "Pizza Hut"back in the early '80s.

Either I got lucky and got a properly made unit, or they redesigned and improved the joystick by the time mine was purchased on 11/26/04. This thing is well worth the money.I am impressed for the price paid ($20.00).

4 of the 5 games aren't that bad.Galaga and Mappy are really well done.Pole Position was baffling until we read the instructions, and now it's ok.I don't remember Xevious that well but it's fun to play.

But we bought this for Ms. Pac-Man, and it's the pits.A bunch of people have already pointed out the almost non-functional joystick.Trying to get MPM to go down is like pulling teeth.And there are many bugs in the program:

1) The ghosts don't "chase" you.They just detect your general where-abouts.Try getting them to follow you so you can chomp them up after eating the big dot.It doesn't happen.Say bye-bye to high scores.

2) The Ms. Pac-Man is too slow in relation to the ghosts, so chasing them when they're blue is very hard, even in the first screen when it's supposed to be easy (and fun).

3) The collision detection is pitiful.In the arcade, if you hit a blue ghost halfway, you still get the points.In Jakk's version, you don't.Sometimes, MPM passes completely and directly THROUGH blue ghosts as if there were nothing there!!

4) Going through the tunnel?Good luck.MPM can get stuck in there, ending up in the "wall" between the two left tunnels, and you cannot move her.The ghosts just circle around her, not sure what to make of it!I'm not sure myself!

I'm a retrogames expert and have played this extensively for the last two months.I understand the games need to be modified slightly from their original code, things like the insert coin and whatnot would need to be eliminated, but there's a lot of sloppy shortcuts with these games that make the end result a disappointing effort that could have been fantastic.

Much has been said about the bizarre responsiveness of Ms. Pac-Man, and I agree.It's true that if you think about the joystick snapping back to the center before turning a corner, it makes it a bit easier to use, but the fact is that the Pac-Man game on the first NAMCO joystick did not have this issue, so why they had to release it without tightening that up is just bad quality control.The game has slightly different sound effects and graphics than the original, too.

Pole Position is great fun, but again, shortcuts were made that take away from the original gaming experience.This was a game I could play with perfection at the arcade, and after adopting the rotating joystick for steering (which I really like) I was able to soon master this version.The problems?For starters, skidding does NOT affect your acceleration, and the puddles have absolutely no effect on your car as well.They're just there for decoration.Why they couldn't have made them reduce your speed slightly, is bizarre.The big crime though, is the finale.In the arcade game, once you get to the big race, once you finish your third extended play, there's a finish line with people cheering you.This has an anti-climactic bug-filled finish that's the result of hasty "hurry up we need to get this product to market" programming.Once you finish, and cross the line, EXTENDED PLAY shows up again, but it forcibly stops your car and makes you wait until your remaining time disappears with no fanfare whatsoever.Bleh!

Galaga is fine, and is about the closest to the arcade original of the bunch.Galaga alone is this stick's saving grace.

Mappy is just a game I never liked much, but it's pretty close tothe original as well.

Xevious is pretty close to the original, but some graphic shortcuts make it look pretty sloppy as well.

I like the ability to pause the games, which is a feature missing in the original stick.

I called Jakks to report the bad responsiveness of Ms. Pac-Man and they offered no help at all, save returning it for another, but since it's a design flaw, that won't help.

Lipper International Child's Slanted Top Desk And Chair - Pecan

This desk is absolutely adorable! It is very well made and sturdy for the price I paid $109 I was very impressed! It has a nice honey color, slants just enough, has a pencil groove at the top. The hinge on the desk allows it to stay open so child can grab things out w/o the top falling down. It is nice and roomy inside. The desk is made for smaller kids, I would say from age 2 to maybe 8 depending on how tall the child is. My kid is tall for 5 1/2 and fits it nicely and should fit it for at least an additional year. A must have for lots of homework or homeschooling.

This desk is well made good quality for the price. The desk and the chair (14" seat height from the floor) are the right sizes for 4-6 year-olds, even 3-6 year-olds, but if you have a child who is 7 yrs+ you need a bigger desk!

First, the desk is not solid hardwood, except for maybe the top piece.The sides and legs are press board, and two of the screws threaded out during assembly (hand-screwed, and we did NOT over-tighten), so we had to return ours regardless of the other design flaws.Those flaws are: 1) They used short screws on the table legs, and the pre-drilled holes are too wide, leaving the desk very flimsy if bumped; I doubt it would last much more than a year unless treated very gently.2) The entire desk is unstable... the legs aren't wide enough so it is likely to tip over even if the legs don't loosen and fall off.3) The hinge they used on the top lid is VERY cheapone of the rivets was already loose, and won't last long.We purchased this desk for $137; it would be a decent bargain at $50 w/ free S&H.

after looking everywhere for a desk like this I finally found this one. I bought two of these desks for my 3 & 5 yr old last Christmas.They are great!The kids love them because they can put all their papers and markers, crayons, glue, scissors etc in their own desk.They use them every day!The only problem we have had with them is the hinges on each one started to bind and it was hard to open the desktop.We greased the hinge and they are just fine.The desktop will stay open while they get their stuff out of the desk.The desk and chairs were easy to put together and have held up really well and are good quality.I have been very impressed and very happy with these desks.I am even thinking of buying another for my son, if I can find somewhere to put it!!

My daughter is finding it a little hard to learn her multiplication tables.After reading such wonderful reviews from others i deciding to buy this. I am glad i did! Folding 64" Poratable Table Speed Hockey by AirWay

I purchashed this as a gift and for it's space saving qualities. Unfortunately it was opened a few weeks later to the disappointment of damage from the warehouse or Fed Ex's gentle handling of freight. The damage wasn't severe enough to warrant reboxing and reshipping or having to deal with unhappiness from the recipient. After two days of use (and not consecutive days) the electronic sounds on one side have stopped working. My biggest complaint would be the design flaw that when it opens flat, it does not sit flat leaving a bump in the middle creating two ramps basically. If you have the space and the money, I would suggest buying a real one in person at a store -when they're in season.

Cube Chair - Set of 4

We purchased these chairs for our kids since they love the ones at Gymboree and would cry when we left.They are a hard plastic that can be flipped into a table a low seat or a high seat.They do get kind of scratched up (we have hardwood floors) being moved around a lot.Plus the yellow one seems to get dirty quick.The only true downfall is they are expensive, but since they are great quality, will last forever, our kids love them we were okay with the expensive purchase.Plusthey make pretty handy footstools for mom and dad. :)

These are great cube chars, you can also flip over to make a chair and table set up for a small child.Love these in the classroom during circle time, would purchase again!

My husband asked me to buy an oil based paint marker and I didn't have a clue what he meant.Then I found the markers and couldn't believe how much they cost.He said "Get it and you'll see".

I bought the marker, gave it to hubby and he started marking everything from the pool pump (where stickers were placed to designate recirc, waste. etc), plastic buckets, cables, hard drives.I later noticed that when I washed items labeled with this marker the writing didn't fade or change at all.Even the dishwasher didn't faze the writing on the plastic buckets.I'm sold, I found the marker in his drawer and use it on everything.The tip is very precise.I can even read my own writing.I still own sharpies but I don't use them anymore.This marker has been worth every penny we paid for it.We have owned it for several months and it doesn't show any sign of drying out or running out of paint.
